I had bought a hackamore for my son at this store and the horse hated it from the start and bucked my 16 year old son off and stomped his head.... after an emergency room visit he checked out fine (thank God) but I needed to see if I could return the hackamore. I didn't expect them to take it back after all it had been through... but they took my situation into account and refunded my money. Just wow! Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Prices were amazing and for being open only a week their inventory was great including lots of different items: jewelry, clothing, tack, wallets, etc....we will be back. Visit the whole area and Get yourself some Pizza, visit the saddlery, stop by the little chef store and then get some ice cream or coffee. Support local businesses. You won't be disappointed.

Previously, I had purchased everything for my young child at this little shop when she started ridding lessons a few years ago and spent a significant amount of money.... Three stars is in all honesty, is pretty generous here.....for a few reasons unfortunately.... Still like this place, great consignment items and I like to support a small family owned businesses. But I pretty much came across an ice Queen who was working there last week and it seemed like she could have cared less if she had my business or not; which was pretty unfortunate.... Not sure of her name but she was an older woman and she did not seem happy to be there. No greeting. No offer to help me find anything. I had to ask on my own and little effort was put forward to help me and zero effort was made to make me feel welcome. I kind of have a feeling if she didn't know you and you weren't a regular customer, she could have cared less about you....Unfortunately, this is something we come across quite often in the equestrian world, it can be pretty darn clicky.... One other thing, a lot of the items that are on consignment were absolutely filthy. I'm talking years of built up horse hair, grease and dirt.. .I suggest making people wash things first before accepting them in your store for consignment. Selling used boots with crusty horse crap on the bottom of them for over a 100 bucks? I just can't go there.... I also know times are hard for all of us. It's hard to make a living, especially as a business owner. But have a little more pride you know- dust your shop, clean up the merch, at least greet your customers! I had driven down with my English saddle already and didn't want to spend a lot to meet this request so I could ride. I ended up calling Mary's Tack, who referred me to Bits Equestrian Outlet. Luckily I could go on a Wednesday when they would be open. I was shown the breast collars available and did my best guess for the one that might work. For $30 it seemed a great deal. I made my purchase and hoped fir the best. It ended up being absolutely perfect. Good fit and it went well with my over 50 year old saddle. I really love that I could find what I needed in time. I spent days researching online and was ready to order everything, but I'm so glad I decided to come in person instead. I walked out of Mary's literally smiling like I just had my first kiss and blushing because I looked so good in my new riding outfit. I ended up spending about $1,000 on a pair of boots, two pairs of pants, and a top, and every single item was top-tier in quality. The fit, the feel, everything was just right. I cannot thank Jennifer enough. She helped me for nearly two hours, patiently guiding me through trying on at least five pairs of boots and almost ten outfits. She was so kind, so patient, and genuinely cared about making sure everything fit perfectly. She didn't rush me and even switched out boots just to double-check the fit. I've truly never experienced service like that in any industry. I hugged her multiple times because I was that grateful. She made me feel confident and taken care of in a way I'll never forget. Sizing varies so much between brands. I wear a large in sports bras but ended up in an extra small top from one brand, so coming in person is a must. If you're new to riding or coming back like me, skip the online guessing and come here. The options are endless, the service is next level, and the experience is unforgettable. They have wonderful things for secret Santa to birthday party gifts. Things like little cheese boards, cute picture frames and then you have your horse blankets, your sheets, your crosstie supplies, your Ferrier supplies, your supplements along with feed in the back. They even have saddles, saddle pads, and then of course your selection of bridles, horse treats and more! Basically every single thing you could need and more!!! They have a wonderful staff as well. That's icing on the cake! They do not hover over you or push a sale! They learn to understand you. They almost feel like they are your family. Not to mention, they are also educated on their products from bits to BOOTS to bridles to feed to supplements and they care because they follow up and say, how are you doing? I first visited this store when our 10 year old dog was a puppy. Our regular store that carried…read morelocally made dog food was out of stock. I dropped in to check it out and Deer Springs Feed & Supply had exactly what I needed. They also had other things that I have appreciated picking up over the years, such as; solid toys for power chewers, horse shampoo for a shiny coat and barn jackets perfect for travel. Fast forward to the days of COVID. I had a lot to accomplish one day and I was heading to the gas station on my way home. I didn't quite make it and pulled in outside the shop. The owner appeared and assisted. I was quite embarrassed but the owner was kind. He ran to get a gas can and filled my car with a quarter tank of gas. I tried to give him money, but he would not take it. This was at a time when gas prices were on the rise. I was so appreciative of the kindness I received. I will always be a customer of this business because of this good deed. Sometimes I just stop by to purchase some dog treats or people treats from the fridge. This is a family run business and they really care about animals, people and their community. Not only did they help me as a citizen but they support causes such as the Teri Campus of Life down the road. I got chicken feed and a container which were normal priced and $2 too high respectively. But I looked at some horse products that were 2 x what they should be! So just know prices for what you want to get going into the place so you don't end up broke. Gentleman that carries out the grain was super nice and helpful. Also they were having a shot clinic in the parking lot when I was there. My dog needed some boosters so we joined the queue. It was a little chaotic and warm in the sun but the girls were nice and the price was right. They do it twice a month. Recommend!
