Gary is one of our favourite persons to work with. His professionalism extends beyond his job description. Gary has proved that he has strong ethical standards when approaching his clients. We strongly believe that Gary will make a great impact for himself and for Oakhurst Rock. We made several trips to the rock yard before making our decision(s). The men were patient with us and assisted us whenever we have questions. I witnessed that they treat every customer with the same professional attitude. While we were there, I also noted that Gary (who's in a senior position now) mentors his junior team members while keeping their client's best interest first and foremost. The day of delivery was exciting to us. Steve made the delivery. Steve listened to our needs and was equally patient while he assisted us in maneuvering a 742-pound rock in position. The store on Highway-49 is easy to find, and parking is easy. There have been changes in customer service personnel over the years, but everyone we've met has been wonderful. Somehow, one store kept pulling us back, and that's Grocery Outlet. There are several reasons for that: (1) The store always looks clean and their shelves are well stocked. (2) 99% of the time, the checker welcomes you with a smile and wishes you a good day. (3) All the staff are trained well. (4) The music they play doesn't break your ear-drums. In fact, shoppers seem happy to hum or sing along, which breaks the ice and make shoppers appear happy. (5) They don't change things around unnecessarily so you know exactly which aisle to go to for the products you need. Overall, I think the owners have done a splendid job in training their staff, their music choice, and the environment they created. (4 of 5) See below for further details. 2) May 23rd: Josh drove from Madera with several different carpet samples. I thought he was pleasant at first then I received an email with all block letters - which sounded like he's shouting at me. (4 of 5) 3) Jun 12th: Carpet layers, Sergio & Carlos are from Fresno: They are absolute professionals. It took them exactly one hour from start to finish, including unloading their tools - through to completion of carpet installation and vacuuming. We were very impressed with their work. Sergio and Carlos are related - uncle and nephew respectively. Carlos mentioned that they're a family-run business, and has been in operation for over 26-years. (5 of 5) Overall: I was not informed that there would be three entities working on this one project. Perhaps if I had been given the contact information of the numerous people, I could have contacted them directly and not go through Kim at Carpet One. Their mode of operation seems confusing to me. Unlike the trees from big box stores that sell you stumpy sticks. The prices are also reasonable. The guy that has worked here for many years, sorry I don't know his name, he has red hair, is super knowledgeable. I feel like he has a lot of education or experience in horticulture. He'll only sell you a healthy tree, if one of them is "sus", he will pull it back. Then he gives your fruit tree an initial trim, disinfecting clippers between trees. Smart. I always enjoy going to this nursery and after the big pine die off, I referred friends there to get some trees to lift their spirits. They had excellent success with their trees.
