Exceptional service. Came in just before closing time with battery problems. Bri (she is a gem) checked the battery--dead. Found the right replacement battery, brought her tool cart out to our car and replaced it like a boss, in the dark. We were on vacation in Bass Lake doing some off road driving and my radiator blew out. We thought our trip was over but went to O'reilly to see if maybe they could help. Thankfully they had the exact parts we were looking for at a good price. Two stars for there selection of over priced car parts and accessories. ZERO stars for their bad customer service. Two times (two times!) now I have walked out of this place because of their employees. Today a big bald man treated me stupid and acted like I was inconveniencing him for asking questions about a particular part. After he threw his head up in annoyance as he was walking away I decided to take my business else where. They were so helpful here! I came in thinking my battery on my 1978 VW Westy was bad... They had a battery that would work, but before they charged me, an employee, Andrew, came out with his meter and tested it and a few other things... battery was fine. These guys literally saved my daughter's wedding. My daughter was getting married in Yosemite on Saturday, and it was NOT going to happen if my wife and I (and all the stuff we were hauling in our SUV) couldn't get there. We were driving into the area from the south on a Thursday during a record-breaking heat wave, and got a coolant warning light in Coarsegold. I tried re-filling it there, but by Oakhurst, it was obvious we weren't going to make it to our destination without some kind of major repair. By this time it was already 6:00 p.m. The NAPA store was already closed, but O'Reilly wasn't. I limped into their parking lot, came to the counter and told my desperate tale to Ramiro, who had other customers waiting, but didn't hesitate to walk out into the parking lot and take a look at my radiator (2001 Chevy Suburban). Within 1 minute, he discovered a crack in the upper rear corner of the radiator housing that I had not previously noticed, which had obviously been spraying coolant out like a fire hose when the engine was running/revving ... not when the car was idling/turned off. Ramiro then went back into the store to see if they had the radiator I needed in stock (they DID), and then he and his co-worker Amy gave me phone numbers for at least 4 different local mechanics they knew who might be willing to come out to the store and do an emergency, mobile repair for me. We found one (Jeremy); he came to the store; removed my blown radiator; replaced it with a new one; refilled the system with fresh coolant, and we were back on our way by 8:00 p.m. In re-telling the story to my family and friends, I have referred to Ramiro, Amy and Jeremy as "guardian angels" who didn't just help to quickly fix our disabled car ... they literally saved my daughter's wedding. I know nobody's perfect all the time, but on this day, at this time, Ramiro and Amy of O'Reilly's Auto Parts in Oakhurst, California were as PERFECT as it gets in this life. Samuel was so nice and helpful when we didn't know what kind of chains or cables to buy. He was very patient in explaining and demonstrating how to attach chains, and even came outside in the rain and kneeled down by our car and got his hands dirty feeling around the tires to examine the level of clearance for our particular vehicle. He then said that the chains they carried might not actually be the best ones for our car even though they would technically fit, and he wrote down a list of other places in the area to go to look for the right kind of chains.
