I have been a loyal H&M shopper for many years I mostly shopped for my four kids due to the reasonable prices and cute clothes today. I decided to try something different considering my daughter needed a pair if black pants for a school performance that she was having tonight so I went ahead and tried the in-store pick up. I received email confirming my order around 8:30 in the morning I had just enough time to go on my lunch break around 1:30 in the afternoon to see if my order was ready. I walked into the store. No one greeted me. Nobody helped me. This is very unusual for this location that I always shop at, a woman with pink bangs I asked her and showed her my order number if she can go ahead and look, she told me she was gonna ask her manager. She then came back out to tell me her manager would be out shortly. He is looking for my order no manager came. I finally decided to go to the register and speak to somebody else. The girl behind the counter told me she doesn't know how in-store pick ups work and I just have to wait for an email. I don't understand how it could take almost 6 hours to get four items together, as I was waiting, I was looking around the store and saw one of the dresses that I had ordered. I decided to leave and go shop somewhere else then proceeded to call customer service to find out how long an in store pick up can take the woman I spoke to told me orders could take up to all day and to wait till 9 PM tonight for confirmation that my order is ready, I don't know why anybody would do an in-store pick up if you have to wait 12 hours for your order She then asked for my order number. I gave it to her. She then told me my order had been canceled. I asked her why she said she would call the store. She called the store and the manager. She spoke to told her that my items were not in stock at that location, I went to tell this woman I find it hard to believe considering I was in the store only 30 minutes ago and found a bunch of the dresses that I had originally placed my order for the woman on the phone did not seem like she could no longer help me all she was saying was she wasn't sure and I don't knowand thank you for understanding I never received an email letting me know that my order was canceled. I never had anyone at this actual store. Tell me my order was canceled. No one at the store seem to know what was going on. I am extremely upset and disappointed in the Palm Desert location I will probably start taking my business elsewhere that can show, more professionalism I have not recently started to shop more at Forever 21 considering their prices are now a lot more reasonable read more

They have the most ABSOLUTE Rudest employee named Sina. I had just paid, and looked over my receipt as I was walking towards the door. I noticed I was charged for a pair of pants that I did not want. I turned around to go back. Sina had an open register and was not helping anyone at the time, keep in mind the line was long. I told her politely that I was charged for something I didn't buy and it happened within minutes. She responded with an ATTITUDE and said, "Go at the end of the line and then we can help you". She didn't care that I had just paid and the store had just made a mistake. Good customer service would have been to apologize and then just refund me the $22 that I was over charged. Be aware of being over charged at this location and having to deal with employee attitudes. read more

It's a hit or miss at this location. If you ask enough employees eventually one of them is competent and actually provides decent customer service. The last 2 times I shopped at this location the cashiers were disasters. My daughter asked if they were price match online promos and the cashier stated it varied 1 of the shirts had a gross white stain on it and gave her a 10% percent discount but didn't price match a thing although their policy online says differently however she told my daughter to button up the shirt she said she didn't want ??? My daughter has anxiety and limited mobility how are you going to ask a customer to do your job???!The time before that I had to speak with 3 different people in order to get a mistake on my receipt that was dismissed by the original cashier twice only for the same cashier to have to be the one to fix it. Maybe return your online orders here but don't shop here they may overcharge you and ask you to do their job!!!! read more

H&M is a good franchise shop for nice, mid-range retail clothing purchases in Palm Desert. They usually have some sort of sale, particularly in the summer and you can generally pick up couple purchases; conventional clothes, shoes, hats, accessories. We pop into H&M a few times each year and usually buy something, mostly for the wife. There are several branches in some of the larger shopping malls throughout Palm Desert; including Gardens on El Paso, The River (Rancho Mirage) and Jensens (California 111) as well as street side branches on Indian Wells Rd and Warring Plaza (72210 California 111) - in the central palm desert). If you want to do some clothes shopping while in Palm Desert, particularly for ladies wear, H&M is a good, safe and predictable option. Most shoppers here are locals and ex-pats but H&M can be a good option for visitors to Palm Desert as well. read more

The Coachella Valley is limited when it comes to shopping for quality clothing at a reasonable price. I have always loved shopping at H&M stores when I go out of town, but sometime this girl just needs a new shirt and IS NOT willing to fight the tight racks and tiny aisles of the majority of the stores within our mall. When I heard H&M was coming to our tiny little Valley I was elated and a little concerned. My fear was that the store would be small and offer little only a small variety of clothing, such as the Victoria Gardens store... I was proven wrong. Our new store is quite large, and offers not only women's fashions, but children's and men's too. I have visited the store on 4 separate occasions now and always leave the store with great finds. H&M, I shop at your Palm Desert location from time to time. I have NEVER returned anything for a full refund until today. I am a adult male and have bought suits from your store, and had an incident where the suit seam ripped completely and this store replaced it. I recently bought a suit on Thursday afternoon, June 30. I honestly wore the suit on Friday, July 1. I was not happy with the way it looked that night I wore it and decided I wanted to return it. I have and do shop at other department stores including Bloomingdales,, Nordstrom and Macy's for men's clothing. If I am ever not happy with the product for any reason or need to return it, I assume (& know) that would be something I could to since it's always a standard procedure at most retail outlets. Well, apparently at Palm Desert H&M, you must go thru an interrogation prior to returning anything for a refund. I was helped by TERRANCE at 1230pm on July 5, 2016. He explained to me I couldn't return the suit because the tags have been removed. And with that statement came a very unforgiving and impolite attitude, so at that time, i decided to opt against telling him i had worn and didn't like it, so I just said "my receipt does not say the price tags need to be attached". Terrance said "well I'm telling you now we aren't going to do this again if you try". I politely said well you should probably add that to your receipt so people know and Terrance said "I'm telling you now what the policy is and we will make this 1 exception and it won't be honored again". I said well you should add that to your receipt and let people know. Terrance responded "I just did". I know customer service is a hard position, but I also know being treated like a 2nd class citizen or someone less fortunate, is also putting someone in a hard position. I did not appreciate his attitude nor the statements he made towards me. It definitely made me think I should spend my dollars elsewhere especially when I have a problem with anything, I know others will make things right without ruthless statements. read more

I have so much shopping at this store. The selection is always fresh and there plenty of clothes to sort through. The store is extremely well kept...cloths are stacked neatly or are hanging beautifully on the racks. There are not a lot of salespeople, but I like to do my own shopping so that suits me just fine. And they have the cutest clothes for kids. This is definitely my "go to" store for the latest fashions at moderate prices! read more

Wow - I *rarely* write reviews on larger scale businesses but I had such a great experience and felt so welcome at this H&M today that I had to pop up yelp and write about my good experience. Mina really went out of her way to make sure I had the best shopping experience possible. This girl is a gem!! I was looking for some joggers in a size 4. Usually at most stores they say "whatever you see on the rack is what we have, yada yada" but Mina *literally* knew exactly where they were in the store, she guided me there like a bullet and then she didn't stop there! She dug thru three racks of SALE items to help me find the joggers I wanted. When we didn't find them in my size, she got on the phone with a niehgboring store, told them exactly where they could find the jogger pants in question then had them put my pants on hold for me! I mean - who does that! She is a star employee at H&M and makes this store a great place to shop. She also was super friendly the whole time and gave me some ideas on other joggers to try out too. While I'm at it, I also need to give a big shout out to Angel who also helped me out earlier in the excursion: he showed me some cool pants to try and also knew *exactly* where everything was located in the store - seriously - so few store employees are like this these days. He was super sweet and helpful and also made the experience I had there today one I will remember and also go out of my way to return to in the future. read more

Came in with a group today and was a bit overwhelmed by the selections. There's a lot to look at!! I tried on a few tips and was a bit surprised at the sizing. The sizes run different on all pieces from shirts to pants to dresses. And it's weird cause the pants and dresses ran small and the shirts way too big. I definitely recommend trying in your faves before you leave the store. The fitting rooms were clean and roomy and had full length mirrors in he stalls. I really liked the prices and will probably be coming back soon. read more

There had been a buzz at work about the new H&M store at the Westfield mall, so I went with a friend. I was very pleased with the prices. Got 2 pencil skirt for $10 and the cutest cut-out dress for under $20. Attractive layout and lighting. Broad selection including shoes and accessories. I must take off a star because at no point did a single employee acknowledge my presence or offer customer service. Overall, I still like the place. I'll be back and hopeful the employees will be in a better mood. Lol. read more

I really liked this H&M - it is one of the better ones. The loss of three stars is for one reason alone. They now have a new security system that makes those little security tags on your clothes beep at the counter. Lines can get long at H&M, and this one is no exception. While standing in line to pay, for about ten-15 minutes my ears were assaulted by the constant high pitched beeping from those tags. When I asked the girl working the counter about it, she rolled her eyes and said it's a new system where the tags beep so the cashier will know they are still on the clothes and not forget to take them off. I imagine that as a result of this new system, everybody working there is going to suffer some headaches and possible hearing loss, not to mention how stressful and annoying it makes the shopping experience for customers. Ridiculous! I will never shop there again. read more

Having had a very good career in retailing before I went into education, I learned that customer service is the ultimate in promoting good sales & good-will. It also hinders shoplifting. I also realize that there are people who do not want to be approached by sales associates because they want to look without being bothered. I, on the other hand, want to be acknowledged when I'm in a store. All I want is someone to say, "I 'm here if you need me!" and then I want to be left alone. My first shopping experience at H&M will probably be my last. It was a beautiful store, but I spent 20 minutes in the men's department and not one of the sales associates nodded at me, smiled at me, or said boo! I walked through part of the women's department too and passed the male associate. He completely ignored me. So I started watching how they were responded to other customers. It was the same! They didn't say a word to anyone. I can't imagine going back because it felt like they couldn't have given a good God damn whether I was going to spend any money in their store or not. Not to long ago i purchased a few items at this particular location so when i got home i tried everything and unfortunately nothing i had bought fitted me so i was gonna go back the next day to return the items and i remembered that the cashier didn't give me a receipt so i automatically thought that i was gonna have to go and in the store and have a hard time trying to get my money back but i turned out otherwise, the manager was able to look for my receipt in the system ( with great attitude) and i was able to proceed with the transaction with NO problem at all. Not quite sure why this place only has 3 stars, its always been my favorite. What I like most about this company is that they don't go big on the logos. I like how the shirts are plain, it's one of the main reasons I shop here. I came in here the other dya looking for some tank tops, but I guess they discontinued them for a bit due to the weather. Great store! Went here for my first time last week with my hubby and little girl. Was sending my 3 nieces/nephew clothes and thought they had great deals!! Having an H&M here in the desert is such an amazing thing, I love it!! They always have great sales and great variety. However I know they probably have new management and new people working together for the first time but that doesnt make up for their lack of basic customer service skills. Several times i have been there, no greeting at the door-ever!, no "can i help you find something", no specials or anything that we should know about?!?!? HELLO!! Don't you want to up you IPTs!! Oh and the best thing that ever happened was this visual merchandiser kid literally came up and snached my hand away from checking out a coat on a display. RUDE!!! Terrible service! Horrible experience! Always with the same 2 persons! It's the 3 time that it happens with the same persons working in this store: Angel and Carissa. First time I wanted to buy something for my daughter and my husband gave me his card to use, (he was fed up to wait in line with me to pay and he was waiting for me outside so he could sit on a bench because one of his leg was hurting). Carissa refused his card saying he had to be with me even after showing her my ID (same name as my husband), she did not care and was very rude. Angel (the manager??? was there and was as rude as Carissa!). Second time it's 1 week ago, I bought a short for my daughter and when I was paying: Carissa left it fall down next to her and did not care at all! I was the one to take the short that was on the ground after paying and she turned her back to me! Third time was today: my daughter was bringing the short i bought 1 week ago full price as she still did not wear it and she had noticed yesterday that the same short was on sale half price. So we were expecting to have the difference of money back. Carissa and Angel again were very rude and refused. They even did not want to take it back!! (The price was still on it and the short was impeccable!), My husband who was with us told them that they had to take it back as it's the written policy so we had finally all our money back. But no short, my husband was saying that at this point he never want us to buy anything in this Palm Desert H&M store! So now if I want to buy H&M he is ok only if I buy on H&M online or in one H&M store somewhere else! It is really sad that because of 2 sales associates that are rude and terrible that we can not enjoy a store that we really like... My husband and I never in life complain about service in a sore but at this point I will definitively contact the H&M corporate office. read more

Went in today! Had the best customer experience! I went in looking for something and didnt really see anything that grabbed my attention, i had an event i had to go to and didnt really see anything i could wear, just when i made up my mind Fonsi came to the rescue! He offered me exceptional customer service! Showed him a tie i wanted to wear and just like that he found me an awesome outfit that matched the tie! Will defenitely return.
