Best greasy spoon breakfast in Sanford. Tiny place with big portions of delicious, inexpensive breakfasts and lunch. Great prices and better food than other joints on 17-92. It's easy to miss it driving past, but that's part of the family-owned appeal and that resonates into the jovial, friendliness of the other patrons. All the servers are super friendly and attentive, especially Mary. My favorite place for breakfast.

Little restaurant right off 17/92. Not too appealing from the outside neither on the inside, typical family dinner, but breakfast was good. Good old southern breakfast. Main dishes, 2 eggs any style, choice of home fries or grits, choice of bacon, sausage, or ham, biscuit or toast. Similar to a Dennys restaurant but, to me, better. It's a place where locals come from all ethnicities, love it. Many of the knew each other so it's was fun to watch and hear. My daughter ordered home fries with gravy.. a new to us, gravy was delicious and also a side of bacon.. nice and crispy. One thing that some people may not like is the fact that they don't add salt to anything including the hime fries but I personally like that I can control my salt intake. Overall, after a not so good visual impression, I really enjoy my breakfast. They also have omelettes, pancakes and French toast. I am definitely going to be back just for their grits. Yummy. Restaurant is small so by the time we left there was a line, so that is a good sign. I'm giving them 4 stars because the place needs a little bit of upgrading.

Cheap cheap cheap. Very cheap. Cheap as in my decently sized cheese omelet with home fries and toast and coffee was only $4.95. The only thing about this place is that it absolutely a hole-in-the-wall and compared to the place I went to across the street, leaps and bounds better. Service was good. Maybe the food took a bit to be cooked by I arrived just at the beginning of a bit of a rush or regulars. Yep, people who sit in the same booth and the waitress asks, "Your regular today, Mister Smith?" H&M, oh yes.

Definitely a hole in the wall Town e type Diner but it was amazing! Service was great, the breakfast was huge. I ordered this giant multi meat omelette that had peppers and mushrooms and everything in it also came with a biscuit, it was unbelievable. My gf ordered eggs along with grits which were outstanding!

Corn beef, grits and horrible service

I don't bash a business but, when you are running a business and people are patronizing you, respect is due. Today, not only was the waitress rude, showed no customer service, but she lied, became loud and belligerent in the presence of other customers. Oh, not to mention she lied on the cook, saying he wasn't grilling anymore toast AND he called her out about it. That's when she really got upset. SMH. She initially became upset when questioned about the cost for a side of corn beef and grits. $7.60??? Really? Her reply, "I don't know why that's the price, I don't own the place." Anyone that knows me, knows I love to eat and don't mind paying for my food but if I ask for an explanation, give me one. I may act a fool sometimes, but I'm not a plumb fool. Several times we requested to see the manager who never appeared. When you can allow a waitress (Mary) to be disrespectful towards your customer, it's time to stay away from there. #unbelievable #nocustomerservice ##mypostmyexperience

If you are looking for a Mom n Pop hole in the wall diner... Look no further... As soon as you walk inside... You feel the love that comes with a family owned diner. They were BUSY BUSY BUSY from the moment my best friend and I arrived until we left. The staff was very friendly and we met some nice people int the table behind us and you really feel right at home. If you are looking for an upscale dining experience, you are in the wrong place. The dining area is simple, sparsely decorated and clean. But I will warn you now... When they are busy, expect a wait for your food BUT the staff keeps those coffee cups full. Our cups never ran dry and our server had her track shoes on... My friend ordered a Mexican Cheese Omelet with Hash Browns and I ordered the Hungry Man Breakfast with a side of Hash. We both asked for a biscuit and I opted for the Home Fries and my eggs over easy... The Hungry Man comes with Bacon, Ham and Sausage... I would love to say I tried my friends omelet BUT I Jalapenos don't agree with me however he LOVED his omelet. The hash browns could have been a wee bit more crispy in his opinion. The Hungry Man was a hearty breakfast... 3 strips of bacon, 2 sausage patties and a piece of ham. My only complaint with the ham was that it was basically a slice of boiled ham that was cooked but it did have a nice flavor. The sausage and bacon we good. My eggs were perfectly cooked and the home fries were great. The star was that biscuit... Definitely from scratch and very good and I was given REAL butter for my biscuit. Service - 5 Atmosphere - 5 Coffee - 3 (It was fresh but bear in mind I am a bit of a coffee snob) Omelet - 5 (According to my friend) Hash Browns - 3 (Ordered extra crispy and they were not extra crispy) Biscuit - 5 Home Fries - 5 Eggs - 5 Bacon - 4 Sausage - 5 Ham - 3 (Really just a slice of cooked boiled ham lunch meat) Hash - 4 The prices are cheap cheap cheap and the place is busy. The food is good but again you are in a mom n pop diner and not a 5 star restaurant... Keep that in mind along with your expectations... The big question is... Would I come back and the answer is DEFINITELY...

Tasteless wall paper paste with what looks like different left over chunks of sausage.

Had to get bloodwork done at 6:30am, so afterwards we were close to here and craving breakfast, so it was a no-brainer to stop in here. Having been born and raised in Mississippi, I am always on the hunt for some good southern homestyle cooking and I for sure found it here. First, everything about the outside and inside of the restaurant reminded me of all the lil mom and pop restaurants I was raised going to. Great nostalgia for me. Now was the food going to live up to what the place looked like?? YES! So I went in craving breakfast and then what did my little eye spy on the menu? An open-faced roast beef sandwich and they service breakfast and lunch all day? Well, yes, please and thank you! Forget brekkie, I went straight for that open-faced roast beef with fried and all of it covered in gravy. OH MY! I'm talking this is the kinda food that (as we say in the Deep South) makes you wanna slap your momma! The bread was piled high with fresh roast beef. The fries were steak fries which are my favorite. The gravy topping everything was just the chef's kiss to set everything off! So many things I want to try on the menu, but I think it's going to be a while before I order anything other than that open-faced roast beef! Hubby had scrambled eggs, toast, hash (his fav brekkie food and he asked for it crispy - they delivered), and breakfast potatoes. He said everything was great and that it's the best hash he's had. I have never been a fan of hash, but I always try it. This has I would definitely eat. It was good. Can't say I'd order it myself because I'm just not a fan, but if this is the breakfast that was served to me, I definitely wouldn't turn my nose up at it. Anyway, two big thumbs up from hubby. Wheelchair friendly. Clean restrooms. Great service from our attentive and sweet server. Food came out very fast. I also much mention the Diet Coke. You know how some are just better from certain fountains? Yes, this was one of those cold fountain Coke's that was just so good. It really hit different. I ordered water as per usual because I try to not drink soda too much, especially while I eat, but hubby mentioned how good it was so, of course I had to try it. He was right. Very good indeed. If you are in the area, don't miss out on this lil restaurant. You will not be disappointed! The only negative thing I can say is they are only open until 3pm on weekdays and only until 2pm on the weekends. Guess that's a good complaint though. LOL Sure wish they were open for dinner too b/c we'd really be eating here a lot!!

Daily specials and soups are available. The service was spot on, def a place to become a regular at! Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Spacious but not as much as some other places in the area. I was thinking that it would have a park/picnic vibe which is not quite accurate. We met friends from out of town on a Saturday afternoon and after sitting down and taking it in, decided to just have drinks and go elsewhere for dinner. The menu had a variety of drinks, including wine, beer, cocktail and mocktail options. Appetizers and main course are a bit more than burgers, hotdogs and bbq, it's like a cookout with flair and the options definitely had an urban hipster vibe. I can't comment on food freshness, quality or flavor since I didn't try any food. I had a cocktail and it was good. Not far from the bar, little kids were playing. They seem to be catering to parents of both, little people and fur babies. There were a couple pups. Mixing drinking adults in a pet friendly/kid play area was a new concept to me. There was a little football being tossed around and quite near the table.
