Karen is the worst Manager I have dealt with in any retail store. When I tried to return something she was trying to hurry up and ask questions while I was pulling my receipt from my bag. Upon pulling the receipt out of the bag she almost tried to reach and pull it from my hands. It wasn't the right receipt. She quickly asked me to step aside while I was looking for the right receipt with NO ONE in the line behind me. I asked her what was the hurry and she quickly retorted with 'do you want store credit SIR?' I asked to speak with a Manager and she said she is the one. No courtesy no thank you and just simply attitude. When will H&M management get a hint? There are several bad reviews about her already on Yelp. read more

I love h&m for their adorable items and great selection for daily and work basics. However, this location's customer service is horrible! I had to fold my own clothes and place them in my bag after leaving the store, because the employee literally crumpled up all of my newly purchased clothing and dumped them in the bag. I love going to H &M at Santana Row however this time I was out for a run really close to oakdrige mall with a friend 11/29 around 11am I decided to go in to get a new outfit for a special meeting. when I went to the fitting rooms I was treated rude by the guy with long hair (I couldn't see his name), he was giving me a judgmental look. Then when I was checking out I let a young white lady go in front of me become I was distracted with some socks. I was able to hear the nice conversation Cori the cashier had with her,, she asked her for a regards card and explained how she can get on the rewards program, however when it was my turn she give me a judgmental look and even when I try to start a conversation she was ignoring me. I don't know if it was because of my clothes or just because I'm a mestiza Hispanic-Italian and I don't look totally white. Nevertheless I will never go back there, I haven't been insulted by any costumer service personnel in any H&M before, this was so unprofessional and Honestly I wouldn't recommend you to go in there, all Humans Matter ! Rarely do I ever shop at H&M, but this past weekend I decided to look around since I had a giftcard from Christmas. I get the store is rather big and always buys, but have the employees ever heard of customer service?! When I purchased my items, the cashier was in such a rush he spoke way to fast for me to even hear a thing he said. After a few hours later of shopping and dinner I had to go back to exchange something (didn't realize there was a snag, but that's what you get with the quality of their stuff) and a new cashier gave me even more attitude! FYI, add yourself to their mailing list. Every other month or so they send out a 20% off one item coupon. You don't need to print it out -- the SAs accept it via your mobile as long as it shows the expiration date. Otherwise, clothes are still of so-so quality, but are very on trend. I love H&M, it is my favorite chain store, and I have been to most locations in Northern California and a couple in San Diego, Portland, and NY. This location is one of my least favorite I've been too. It is small, cramped, and very crowded (kind of like San Jose which is BIG, cramped, and very crowded). The SF and the Santana Row locations are larger with more inventory. If you find yourself in Harlem, NY go to the H&M on 125th Ave.... it's where my obsession with this chain all began back in 2005. read more

This store has a messy baby's section. I like shopping their baby clothes, but they don't make it easy. The clearance items don't always have the clearance price. Seems like they just put the baby clearance in one spot without putting the correct price tag. I'm giving two stars because of a particular transaction I had in this store. I asked the girl about the baby sale, which was mix and match for 9.99. I brought the items up and asked if the two were 9.99 together. The girl said yes, and rang me up with another pair of jeans. I didn't realize till I got home that the sales associate rang up the sale items for regular price. I didn't notice because I figured the other jeans were about 20 something or so, making my transaction around $36. The other baby jeans were less, and the rep didn't ring me up correctly. Even after I asked about the sale. Now I have to go back with the items and get an adjustment. The customer service phone line is no help in this matter either. They would take up to a week just to handle a refund. That's absurd. Everything else seems fine. This place doesn't seem to have a lot of workers. Compared to the Milpitas location, this one isn't as crowded perhaps due to it being in different parts of town. Oakridge has a large white middle-class clientele whereas Great Mall has a large working to middle-class immigrant clientele hungry to the look the part of the American Dream. I've only been here once and I like how I get much more "me" time. The lack of active staff on the men's side is indicative of this, which can also be a turn off for those who desire that attention. The Ikea of clothing: cheap (both in price and build), but what we are actually pay for is the style: slim-fit everything if you can actually fit in them. 24 hour fitness anyone? I've been shopping at H&M ever since its premiere in the Bay Area. I remember those days driving long distances to purchase and rock their latest styles that were "avant-garde" at the time. The "Euro" and "Japanese" style then were slowly entering the American mainstream. And now with everyone and their mama's shuffling to the despicably dull "Party Rock Anthem," the hype has consolidated itself. The Great Recession and born-again Disco; marketers back-washing throw-back thrift... the old is suddenly new, and the new is suddenly old. There's a riot(s) goin' on, and it's because of this. I am pretty sure it violates that fire safety codes... wheelchairs can't even fit through it if I can't fit through it. The lines... I don't really know when people realizes I'm in line or not because if I'm waiting in line and glance to the sides at an item on a rack or at the tables in front of the register, people cut me off and when I say I'm in line, they say "oh, I thought you were browsing" ... I wasn't browsing, my eyes got bored at the wait. Sometimes, people do apologize and go to the end of the line... and other times, they just turn back from talking to me and wait in front of me to pay... The clothes are CUTE... I can fit most of the tops... but the dresses? If it's not a loose dress I can't fit them. Not because I'm fat... It's because clothes here are made for ladies with normal sized boobs :( but I did find some idol/icon shirts like Michael Jackson and Blondie the other day. LOVE IT!! But the bottoms? I got SO many good deals here just last week. They were having a sale (75% off) on a lot of items and I got some shirts for 10 bucks, one for 6 bucks, and pants for 12 bucks. The men's sale section wasn't as grand though. They also allow for full returns, unlike F21. read more

This is a huge H&M and has a great collection of mens, women's, kids and babies clothing. The only down fall is the shortage of dressing rooms....the rooms are used for both men and women so it takes some time to try on things.....so go either early in the morning or late at night. read more

Pretty good sized store but not the biggest. It has most of everything that you find in most. The floors are clean but the racks are pretty messy in the middle of the day. It doesn't ever seen like there are enough staff around in the store and they definitely aren't the happiest. Overall, average H&M. read more

Im obsessed with HM but the only location that was close to me before was 20 minute drive to SRow or 20 minute drive to Great Mall. Santana Row is good for carrying "Trend" HM brand clothing but for girls with some spunk Oakridge location has a ton of "Divided" brand and i totally love their whole layout. The energy of this location is so positive with so much lighting and really clean cut bright layouts and visuals. I am really impressed! Its way better than dim dark HM of the Great Mall that store is always a mess with shit all over the floor. anywyas im obsessed and will definetly be at oakridge HM from now on! read more

Stood at at men's cash register for 7 minutes. No cashier or customer service associates in site. I finally went to the fitting room to let them know I needed cashiering assistance. The guy there told me the men's cashiers were closed and to go to the women's. I told him that they should put a sign up so that people don't wait there waiting for a cashier. He didn't care and didn't even respond. Pretty rude. I have no problem going to the women's cashier to have my items rang up. It would be nice if they had a sign up so that I could have mediately gone to the women's cashier instead of waiting thinking a cashiers going to show up in the men's section. NEVER coming back here!! I bought a shirt 2 days ago and tried returning it. The guy working wouldn't give me back my cash back(it's how I paid for it) because he said the tag didn't match the receipt. But I know for damn sure the tag was right because I had bought 2 items that day & already returned one and of course they took the item back along with the tag.. Which leaves 1 item left with 1 tag. And i work retail, so I know you can always look up the item to check what the item # is etc. but when I told him that, he said oh it'd take too long. Ok lazy ass it's not like you're even working when you're on the clock anyways! When I was trying to return my shirt, he was just chit chatting with his co workers anyways. But here's the good part! I went to the location @ great mall & told her what had happened and guess what? She said the tags DID match so I don't know what this idiot at the Oakridge location was talking about. He lied. I've been in customer service industry for 10 years and i have never seen such an unorganized, lack of customer service; greeting when your walking in the store. Normally, I don't shop in stores because I have converted to online shopping. Seems to be a lot easier. The staff were very rude and they closed the fitting room 20 mins prior to closing. Girlfriend and I decided to shop for business clothing for work purposes very early in the morning. As we were shopping, one of their sales associates who appeared to be very feminine assumed I had the intentions of stealing some of their blazers located in front of the entrance. Look man, lmao trust me buddy I can afford your attire but can you? This dude mugged me and didn't even greet, and he basically stalked me. Keep in mind, I was trying on blazers to conserve as much time as possible because I had to go to work. So I had to be in and out as quickly as possible. First off, if I was attempting to shoplift upon your perception at least ask me if everything is okay. This awkward individual literally ran up to me like an elderly person power walking for a morning walk then proceeds to walk away like a zombie like wtf. Next, based on his body language he decided to call for backup, which then led to another sales associate who appeared to be female to power walk towards us like an old lady as well. Look guys, if your going to insert the discrimination card on us, at least communicate, a simple greet isn't that hard to do. Instead, they made a very unwelcoming presence as I was shopping for business attire. This message is to the managers on duty at this location, don't be incompetent. Time is money, I don't have time to play any games like real talk, if you hate working retail seek work within another industry. I don't shop at H&M for myself, but my kids (particularly my son) really like the style of H&M clothing. So ... off to I went to shop for Christmas presents. I found a great sweater for my son at the Monterey store and bought it in what I thought was the right size. Um, I was wrong, which lead me to the H&M at Oakridge Mall in San Jose tonight. It was at the Oakridge H&M, my husband and I met Ivan, the Men's Department manager and manager-on-duty. What an incredible person he is: professional, personable, definitely willing to go above and beyond, and has GREAT customer service skills. He personally searched for the sweater we thought had been placed on hold for us and when he couldn't find it, he helped us go through the Men's Department to find a substitute, even waiting while I texted my son several pictures. Although I couldn't find the perfect sweater tonight, Ivan made me a loyal H&M customer. H&M's management should take note of Ivan. He is a gem of an employee, who deserves a promotion ... quickly ... before some other stores takes note and hires him away! Thank you, Ivan, for making my shopping experience so pleasant tonight. This H&M is one that I frequently stop in at since I live nearby. It's normally very messy, but it's close. I would have given it a three star if it weren't for tonight. I went in with a friend around 8:00pm when I saw a cute lacy slip in the window. I didn't see it anywhere in the front racks, so I asked a couple of employees to help me. Since the guy helping me didn't know which dress I meant, I walked out front with him to point at the dress and his response was, "Oh that was for coachella, we probably don't have that anymore." and walked back into the store. I felt that didn't make sense so I searched for it myself. And found it. A whole rack of them. A manager (I believe) heard me complaining and chatted with me about it. Nice woman. The second strike was when I went to buy one of the dresses I found. It was a cute black dress from a rack of black dresses with a big sign that said $10. I should have gotten her name, I had a girl ring me up. The price was at $69.99 now, and after asking her coworker if it was on sale, lowered it to $27. I let her know where I found it and she instantly gave me attitude and pointed at a sticker on the tag, "I already honored this tag for you, I can't sell it to you for $10. Someone must have left it there. Find me another one with a $10 tag and I'll honor it." Nice way to speak to a customer. I decided not to ask for the manager, but I feel like I should have. It's not my fault you can't keep your own store clean. I didn't buy the dress. I was too peeved and just left because I didn't want to deal with their shitty customer service anymore. All I can really say at the end of it all is: you guys lost my business. I absolutely won't be shopping here again, and I'll be telling my friends not to shop here either. If I want something from H&M, I'll go to another location. This store really need to work on hiring people with better communication skills. read more

Going in here is sort of a drag, everything is messy and crowded, and the organization where things are put is beyond me.
