The only thing I can say is their brand of dog food, Heritage Ranch, is affordable. The signage is enough to make you walk through multiple isles before finding what you need. For example, Little Debbies is on the 2nd to the last isle, on right side. Instead of the snack cakes being with the snacks, it's not. The taco seasoning mix envelopes, ahh heck. I forget where to look every.single.darn.time. I've asked this store to order 24 packs of Diet Mountain Dew on 3 separate occasions. 1.5 years later, never to be found. I'm done wth spending #300+ for half a weeks worth of groceries. read more

I love this HEB. I am leaving off one star because of the crawfish stand setup. The crawfish and boiled shrimp were excellent. However, the workers were having to battle the wind and hold the tent down. I do not like having to place the order, and then go inside to pay. I bought crawfish from the S. Fry Rd. location, and it is a totally different setup. There's looks nicer and they have a register outside! read more

We only shop at H‑E‑B! This location is pretty busy and is barely different than the H‑E‑B Plus stores we've patronized. For a smaller store, they're well stocked and really, not much of a difference in what they carry. This particular location has a large electric vehicle charging station at the main entrance of the parking lot. Some of the H‑E‑B favorites we love to recommend are the freshly made southwest flour tortillas. I would love to hoard those because they are that delicious. Also the kale pepita salad and fresh made guacamole is worth trying. read more

I love my H-E-B. Actually we shop at three different ones but they all offer the same great selections. Meat. H-E-B has a fantastic meat market with choice cuts for almost any event. Every weekend I start with a large beef choice for grilling. I then round out the meal with H-E-B stuffed jalapeños and grilled corn. Perhaps if I'm greedy I will also grill some jalapeño and cheese sausage and a few chicken pieces. Vegetables. H-E-B has a wide selection of fresh vegetables. I've rarely had to toss anything early from H-E-B. Again they have the traditional veggies and then a few I've never seen nor tried. Everything else is also here. One stop and your good to go. Curb side. The latest feature is the H-E-B Curbside service. Haven't tried it but know JJ Watt is ready to make delivery! read more

I LOVE my HEB I have been coming to this location for years, the staff is always friendly and helpful, the store is always clean, the produce department is well stocked, fresh and appealing. The meat counter and seafood area is always helpful even if there is a bit of a wait. The restrooms are always spotless. Most consumers shop for convenience and price, I shop because of service and cleanliness. This place always hits the mark. I really appreciate their help and service when I'm in the store. This is why HEB will always be my grocer of choice. They have also done an amazing job during these challenging times with the pandemic. They cook crawfish incorrectly.. They boil it like lobster and then powder it with seasoning. You'll never find crawfish with powdered seasoning on it in the entire state of Louisiana. How is this acceptable to Texas? This is not Cajun or Louisiana style. Ludicrous. read more

Pharmacy is not well managed. Pharmacy manager has been rude on multiple occasions and they are slow to refill or run out of basics.

Of all the grocery stores, this is my favorite place to buy both organic and conventional fruit. They consistently have the most perfect white flesh peaches, do yourself a FLAVOR and pick up a few. They are delicious, juicy and filling. Most recently I discovered Cotton Candy Grapes. http://www.grapery.biz/index.php/grapes/cotton-candy and you can get 2 lbs for $7.98. I also was looking for lingonberry jam/sauce/jelly/preserves, whatever. And I found one brand, straight from Sweden for about $6. Not exactly the generic Ikea kind that you can pick up while you get that heavy, awkward shelving unit that you'll never put together; rather a nicely sized perfectly flavored jar of lingonberry jam for my buttered toast. Win. Happy Cherry. Their prepared guacamole is delicious and at about $6 a medium sized container, you'll have those football snacks ready. Also, pick up some freshly cut mango spears and you'll save some time peeling those slippery ovals. Always in stock. I love this HEB. read more

Not my first heb choice but still a great store. The meat section is smaller than the heb plus store on fry road and grand parkway. They have fresh produce and meats. Everything is laid out well and easy to find. The downer is they sell (or hope to sell ) a lot of Katy Football gear. That's annoying. I want a grocery store. But this store does have a small town feel and I think that's how it's designed. The parking is easy. They don't always have fresh OJ and lemonade like the other locations. But the checkout lines move quickly and the employees are all friendly. read more

Very serviceable HED here. Nice selection of produce, both ready to eat and fresh. Tasty rotisserie chickens too. Great deli and seafood department, hot food bar is okay, good selection of olives and antipasta. The beer selection is awesome as is the gluten-free food section. Good diary, lots of cheeses. It's clean, open, the lines move quickly and the employees are nice. It's well lit and I can always find more than I need on any diet or food preference. read more

Went to this very nice HEB this past Sunday. They were roasting fresh Hatch chile peppers out front over a wood burning fire. Ended up getting a large bag of them. They go great in chicken enchiladas or on top of grilled hamburgers. Great produce selection, they also have an organics section. They have fresh kale, a must have for me. (side note)The HEB brand of bacon goes well with the Kale. :) Now that I think about it, bacon goes well with just about everything. The bakery has a dozen different types of fresh baked breads as well as donuts, cakes and pies. Fresh made tortillas, yep they have them. You can even watch the lady make them. I always get a bag of them. Picked up some of the thickest ribeyes I have ever seen. On sale this week for less than 4 dollars a pound. Time to fire up the pit. Very large wine selection and the wines are reasonably priced. They now carry No Label beer. Well if I'm grilling, going to need a Pale Horse to help battle the heat. Free samples all over the store. I tried the San Antonio roll. I really didn't care for it, had a fishy after taste. Going to have to pass on the sushi here. When I get sushi I want it from a sushi bar. For me, HEB is the place for all my grocery shopping needs. I drive past a few other grocery stores to get here. But well worth the trip. read more

They have a pretty good bakery, and a nice selection of cheeses, and wines. I wish it had been an HEB plus instead, mostly for the good deli foods, but this is a good grocery store, and I'll continue to shop there. read more

This review is for the floral department only. I really wanted to find an affordable place to get my wedding flowers and HEB turned out to be it! Divine and the rest of the department were great to work with. I specified what flowers I wanted and how many boutinnaires, corsages and bouquets. The pharmacy side is a hit or miss, they will tell you over the phone that your prescription is delayed for months in on advance but if you go in person its ready in 30mins. I have been waiting for insulin since beginning of October. They don't seem to help anymore, customer service is not what it use to be. I did get told a sensor was on back stock for weeks but went in and the pharmacist himself was so nice and actually had the product! I use to come to this pharmacy for years but now its looking like it may be time for a change. read more

I don't normally shop at H-E-B, it's not close to home and always seems to have lines regardless of the day or time. Due to the COVID-19 situation my family was running extremely low on toilet paper and I was told H-E-B would have supplies early in the morning. The store opens at 8:00 am, so I arrived at 7:45 am and got in line behind approximately 100 people. When the doors opened I went directly to the toilet paper aisle. There were signs posted every 5ft stating 1 per person, so I grabbed 1 and headed to the cashier. The customer in front of me in line checked out with 2 packages of toilet paper without issue. I asked the cashier "what happened to the limit of 1 toilet paper per customer?" The cashier looked at a sheet of paper and replied " the limit is 2".The customer behind me in line spoke up and confirmed the sign in the aisle stated 1 per customer. In a time of limited supplies and people wanting to limit their exposures in crowded public places, the least you can do is know what your own policy states. This was just another reason for me to avoid H-E-B In the future. read more

Like HEB stores generally, the prices are excellent and the aisles are a bit narrow. This store is also space limited, so the selection in certain areas is not as good as, say Kroger, or other larger supermarkets. When I needed potassium salt for a water softener, I asked about it online (since it is listed as available) and ten days later, I got a call that it was in stock. That was two years ago, and it's been in stock off and on ever since. HEB's price for potassium salt is the best anywhere! If I have one complaint, it's the aisles in the produce department, especially the first and the first left turn. It's wide enough, but the center has been repurposed for more items. As a result there is barely room for one cart. Get behind a slow poke or a store person stocking or shopping for online customers, and you're stuck. Conclusion. Bigger with more variety and this would be my only supermarket. Right now it's just one of the places I shop for groceries. read more

So I went here today to get fresh cooked crawfish And fixings. It was so unorganized I was told the wait would be 15 minutes. I said okay and decided to wait. They had some call in orders so they filled them first so the wait ended up being 1 hour and 15 minutes and yes I waited. Got home the crawfish and shrimp were so over cooked they were basically mush I would say seriously half of what I ordered was edible. HEB your outside crew needs help no way one guy can do it all. They did have a girl ringing up tickets but that is all she did the other guy was busting butt trying to cook everything And I felt bad for him. Really disappointed!!! read more

One did not hit me, she was on her phone so I yielded to her. This is unacceptable. This also means any work related questions as a Realtor. Changes started long before pandemic (speaking of which--why are other HEB's back to full shelves and full variety but not this one??? It's as if this store's management during the pandemic found an all-time level of laziness and now REALLY only stocks basics--and not even to a level where shelves are fully stocked yet) Location USED to have more FLAVOR variety, major BRAND variety, and SIZE variety. Long before pandemic, the variety I trusted I could find at HEB, for this location turned into BASIC flavors and basic sizes of ALL the HEB/Whole Foods brands and MAYBE 1 or 2 major brands. For instance--cake: white, chocolate, yellow, strawberry. What happened to pound, marble, lemon, orange, pineapple, banana, coconut, cherry, carrot, spice, gingerbread, butter pecan, tres leches, French vanilla, butter recipe yellow, butter recipe chocolate, dark chocolate fudge, dark chocolate, devil's food, German chocolate, Swiss chocolate, triple chocolate, turtle, angel food, chocolate angel food, 4 flavors of funfetti--white, strawberry, chocolate and yellow funfetti, tie dye, red velvet, blue velvet, pink velvet, sugar free, gluten free, purely simple recipe. Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Duncan Hines, Krusteaz, King Arthur, Ghirardelli, Duff Goldman. ...same thing for canned tomatoes, canned vegetables & fruits, peanut butter, soups... Again, I shop HEB for variety--if I want basics I'll go to Walmart. I've changed my HEB store to the 99@Fry--why waste my time at Nelson Way, even before the pandemic I couldn't buy everything I needed in 1 trip anymore. I no longer recommend this location to friends, family, visitors. Such a shame--Old Katy foodies expect SO MUCH MORE!! read more

This is our go-to grocery store (until the new Kroger on 1463 opens up). I like this store, there's always a ton of stuff going on there during the weekends. But beware, that's when it's super packed! My husband and I love the wine selection (and good prices). And we also love the deli counter...we're one of their best customers, I swear. Lol. The steaks and fish are wayyy to expensive so that sucks, we usually buy steaks when they're on sale (or from somewhere else). But they could seriously improve their produce department. I can never find decent looking red, green or yellow peppers. And their coupon system is minimal...okay, it's just terrible. The yellow coupons are a joke. And if you know about the HEB app for coupons, there's never anything worth buying on there. But to end positively, there are more good things about this store than bad things. read more

Their curbside pickup is awful. Both times I used it, I was missing items. They will also substitute items that you picked for much more expensive items. Kroger doesn't do that. They eat the price difference if they substitute something. I'll never use them again. read more

I was unable go into HEB today and really, REALLY wanted some pumpkins. I called the manager and he let me have curbside service. Dave, my HEB Hero, helped me pick out pumpkins (from my car), took my cash, ran in and paid for them, gave me my change and put them in my trunk! I couldn't believe that I even had the nerve to ask but I REALLY couldn't believe that they were willing to so cheerfully accommodate me. Thanks for the fall cheer, HEB! read more
