I have been coming here for years...when they have sales on meats..look out, people are just taking the meat off the racks I mean the rack the guy comes out with to re-stock with. Drove to store to purchase pork loin which was on sale $1/lb (great price). Brought 2 loins to the meat market counter and asked for each loin to be simply cut in half so I could fit it iin my freezer. The employee behind the counter told us there was nothing he could do since its "already labeled!" He suggested I purchase the more expensive precut chops instead since they were smaller! I was absolutely flabbergasted, and told him I would be taking my business elsewhere. No wonder you call it only Market, not Meat Market! This place is the only reason I started shopping and loving HEB more than Kroger :O They're usually friendly and attentive when you initiate conversation otherwise if you're the kind that just likes to go go go they are great at that, too. This location is always packed and I usually shop at the Sienna Plantation location but needed some items quickly and near me. They have a wonderful seafood market along with fresh produces (just like any other HEB). You can never go wrong with HEB! read more

Fortunately this store usually has what I need grocery wise, I'm giving a two star rating because of constant customer service issues. I go here mostly because it's closest to my home, but that may change after today's exceptionally poor service. For quite a while now I have been totally unsatisfied during checkout. Most, not all, of the cashiers and baggers are more concerned with talking to each other, gossiping, yelling to the person 2 cash registers over, talking to friends visiting, texting on the phone etc than checking the customer out. I don't think it's appropriate to be talking over all your customers to gossip about friends etc. It seems like a huge inconvenience lately to even get anyone to acknowledge you or make eye contact when you're checking out/paying. Today I had to stand and wait a while for my FIVE small items to be bagged because the cashier and bagger were holding my items but talking to the other people on the next 2 registers instead of bagging. Totally ignored the fact that I even existed, let alone that I was waiting for them to stop gossiping so they could put my items in the bag. read more

Friday evening, between 6 to 6:30, the cashier visibly has out in front of her ... a cell phone so she can check her text messages, the phone is open and one can see a list of text messages. so, how is it that an employee is permitted to a cell phone out, what is she more interested in ?? her phone or the customer....?? And yes I took note of the name of the employee when I saw this. I did not stick around to say anything to a manager since I had to move on. read more

i have been shopping there forever,until today I have to reconsider ,here i bought all the ingredient at the fruit and vegetable department and went by the seafood department ,my goal is to make a freshb Ceviche salad ,so I bought my shrimp and ready to buy the fish so i can marinate ,i asked the older man which kind of fish he recomend for a Ceviche and to my surprize he did not know what i am talking about ,he quoted ,never heard about Ceviche ,i tried to explain to him that it is a mexican or latin seafood salad marinated in lime ,his expression was like i was coming from Mars. I was puzzled that he did not give the effort to ask at least some body else in his organization and got me offended for lack of customer care ,so i put back my shrimp and crab legs as well as the lime,avocado and cilantro and went off to my favorite pappassito for some ceviche.How can a company like this hire ignorant people like that ...............it is beyond me. read more

I give HEB 5 stars. I give the EZ Wireless -20 stars!! I went there for them to fix an iPad Air screen, paid them $109 only for the iPad to completely stop working. It no longer holds a charge!!! We love our HEB, but the other night while we were checking out, a cashier by the name of BELVA, was extremely rude. First off, while loading our groceries, she just gave us a dirty look, no greetings, nothing. As as she rang up our food, there was a clearance item, for $1.00, original price was $2.79, it still rang up the original price. So I took that item, gave it to her and pointed out that it was a clearance item. Just before she totaled our bill, I told her that it was still ringing up at original price. She then gave me an attitude and basically yelled at me and said "I took it off!! You wanna see, look,look!!" I said I'm looking. She went back on the list, twice, and the item was still at the same price. So she fixed it to clearance $1.00. Didn't even apologize. read more

Wow, I actually had a totally different experience at this H-E-B. First of all, I think it's good for what basic products it has: dairy, produce, meats, etc. If you're coming here looking for any specialty products, you're definitely in the wrong place. I would say central market and whole foods are better options for that. I think the store is very clean, and is cleaner than most stores in its area from my experience. Prices are a little higher here (like 10-15 cent differences), but nothing exorbitant. The only complaint I have about this store is their seafood section. It's very limited (it only carries about three types of fish). Other than that, I would say this is a perfectly okay store to shop at for your everyday needs. Oh, and I must add that customer service here is (almost) immaculate, IMO. read more

I arrived at the pharmacy at 9pm when they close. They filled my prescription even though they had to stay a few minutes late. I came there from CVS who would not fill my prescription at 8:40, before they close. HEB saved the evening and earned a new pharmacy customer! Thank you so much!!! read more

This is the only HEB in the Houston area that sells kegs of beer. So on Sunday's when the game is about to start swing in and pick up any size of keg 5,7, and 15 gal and they will load it in the car for you. Specs aren't even open on Sunday's ,so where are you going to go? They also have tons of microbrew and hard to find beer and wine read more

This HEB needs to revisit and improve their customer service. The employees are fairly young (high school) and rude. One of them tried to be rude and made faces to my one year old son. Then she started to make smart comments to the cashier and he was going along with it. Not respect to customers at all. I will not come back to shop at this HEB. read more

I have gone here for about 8 years now. I feed a family of 4 and 2 dogs. Many times I will pay for things that never make it home. I've never said anything cause I can't prove I didn't take it home. Today I came in to get 2 cases of Ozarka water. After taking to multiple people they said that they don't have any more of the big cases. I could wait for them to unload the truck... Really? So I put 4of the smaller packs in my cart. I went to customer service and apparently the larger cases were on sale, but they refused to honor the price even though I would be buying exactly the same amount of water. It was less convenient for me because now I have to make 4 trips into the school to deliver. The manager Eric was very rude. He has no idea what customer service is. This store has been torn up for weeks and has moved the items multiple times, so it takes me a lot more time to find everything on my list. Shame on you HEB for your lack of customer service for your long term customers. read more

I just returned from this HEB and I will not go back. I recently moved here from out of state and live right down the street. I have been shopping at this store regularly since I arrived here. I love the store itself, the products, selection and prices but every time I have been there the employees have been so rude. I am not a demanding customer or a hard person to please. I have never written a negative review before this but tonight was the last straw. The cashier, Ashley was so unpleasant. I had a plastic storage container that had a coupon with it. I set the coupon on top of it which she immediately grabbed and slammed on the counter in front of me then slammed the container back down on the conveyor belt. She did not look at me, smile or say hello when she began ringing up my items. At the end of my transaction she looked the other direction when handing me my receipt. No goodbye, have a nice evening or anything of the sort. If this were an isolated incident I would not be writing this. She has rung me up several times before and its always the same attitude. I could even write it off if it were just her but it has been 99% of the employees I have encountered there. The few occasions that I have had to ask an employee where an item was located they definitely acted put out and mumbled an answer without looking at me as they were walking away. I have never been greeted or smiled at by any cashier there, ever, which is not the end of the world but if I am spending my money somewhere I at least expect friendly customer service and after two months I realize that I am not going to find that here. read more

Customer service is good, never seems to be too long of a wait to check out, & they usually have the items I'm looking for in stock (except those pesky cotton candy grapes that I have yet to try because apparently they are as rare as unicorn & everybody wants them)! However, there are a handful of items that I have to get from the Sugar Land or Sienna Plantation locations because this location simply doesn't carry them. There are also 2 items that they stopped carrying at this location and I filled out a green form to request the item to be ordered, and the person who handles the ordering was supposed to be in contact with me in the near future. However, I never heard from anyone either time and I never was able to find the items in stock again. It was my understanding that they were supposed to contact me even if it they couldn't order the item. My biggest complaint about this location is regarding a safety issue that surely has also been noticed by other customers...every time it rains, the huge yellow stripes that are painted in the parking lot in front of the entrances to the store become extremely slippery! Not once, but twice I have totally busted my behind when I walked out of the store. On at least 2 OTHER occasions, I caught myself from nearly slipping and falling. It is very dangerous how slippery the stripes become when wet, & quite frankly, I'm surprised nobody has been injured. I scraped my knee pretty good, stubbed my toe, & had a huge bruise for about a week....not to mention that my groceries spilled out of the bag & also got pretty beat up. Very shocked there's not at least a warning sign, but honestly, even that wouldn't really be good enough. The problem can be completely solved by simply making the painted surface less slippery somehow (I mean, did they use paint or yellow baby oil to paint these stripes?!?!) or by simply removing the stripes & posting a stop or pedestrian crossing sign instead. read more

Snot & Salmon anyone? I was in this HEB a few days ago in the seafood department waiting patiently for my turn when the seafood attendant apparently didn't notice me standing there. He finished waiting on the customer ahead of me and then turned around and proceeded to tear off a sheet of paper towel and blow his nose, while still wearing his gloves that he prepares seafood with. He opened the trash can to throw away the paper towel that he had blown his nose with, then turned around and asked if he could help me! Dumbfounded I just stared, hoping he was going to at least change out his gloves before taking my order. But instead, he decided to pat the fish down in the case and move a few pieces of salmon around with his snot infested gloves!!! Sweet Jesus!!!!!!! I politely shook my head and asked the nearest employee for the store manager. When the manager arrived, he apologized and then took the employee to the back of the seafood department for a "talk". I don't know what the consequences were, but I do know that I went home seafood-less and I will not be getting anymore seafood from this HEB again. BTW this is the second time I have had an encounter of this nature at this store. Yes, they are usually friendly and helpful here, but I don't think it's worth the side of snot that was being handed out with their nice service. read more
