Love Trader Joe's and finally got to visit this one in Sugar Land! I've always visited the one in Cinco Ranch. Compared to that one, this one seems to be more spacious!! The only critique I have is that I was surprised to find the bakery goods (such as brownies, banana bread) put on the side of the shelves. In the Cinco Ranch location, it was put on tables so it was easy to attract shoppers seeing all the yummy baked goods. For this first visit, I went a little crazy with purchases on some regular favorites such as the mac and cheese, mochi ice cream, sea salt brownie. New things I am trying are the roti with curry, the thai coconut pancakes, garlic dip, french cookies, and sweet plantain chips. Then I got some veggies, herbs, and black olives to prepare for some lunches for the week. I am hoping to try some Vietnamese entrees the next time I visit! Actually, it can be difficult to shop at Trader Joe's because you would want to try everything!! What I didn't get get but want to get next time: flowers! I lover the selection of flowers they have, and some are quite affordable in pricing.

I have been a long time Trader Jones fan. I have trekked to their Montrose and Westheimer locations to get my everyday and seasonal snack fix. When they finally opened here in my neck of the woods, I was beyond ecstatic! Welcome to Sugar Land! Take my money! lol. But, really. Service is superb here as well. Loved the hustle and bustle of shoppers inside the store searching for their go to snacks or trying out new snacks. There were so many foods I wanted to try, but I ended up picking up my go to items: veggie samosas, chocolate lava cake, spanakopita, cookie butter, coffee blast ice cream, and dark chocolate peanut butter cups. We did buy a few new items: chili lime tortilla chips, brownie coffee ice cream sandwiches, and pineapples. The chips were too sour for my taste. The pineapples were sweet and fresh, though. The coffee ice cream sandwiches were delicious and strong! Next time, I definitely plan on getting new snacks. I can't wait to shop for their seasonal winter snacks too! Yay!

Their Dubai chocolate was still out of stock, and I also grabbed two tote bags since my friends wanted them.

This is the third time I've bought protein that was spoiled, from this location. The ground sirloin looked perfectly red on the outside but the inside was completely gray. The same thing happened with a package of ground chuck I previously purchased at this location. The salmon looked fine, wasn't slimy, and didn't smell while it was raw. But as it cooked, it smelled weird. I finished cooking it and (reluctantly) tried it, and it tasted just as weird as it smelled. I tossed both in the trash and called for a refund, which I can't get until I go back into the store

This Whole Foods location in Sugar Land is one of my favorite grocery stores for fresh produce,…read morebakery items, organic foods, specialty diets, and high-quality meat and eggs. If you're looking for gluten-free, vegan, or other specialty products, the selection here is excellent. The store is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. A nice bonus is the Amazon return counter inside the store. You can bring eligible Amazon returns without packaging, and they handle the rest. One thing I wanted to mention for anyone trying to take advantage of the current Amazon Prime ice cream promotion (50% off pints through July 7): this location has had ongoing ice cream issues. I visited twice recently and found the freezers completely empty both times. On one visit, staff said they were waiting on a shipment; on the next visit, they explained that the freezer had broken and posted a sign stating that no ice cream pints were available for sale. So if you're specifically coming for the ice cream deal, I'd recommend calling ahead first or checking another Whole Foods location. Aside from that issue, it's still a great store and a very convenient Whole Foods for the Sugar Land area.

There just is nothing so overwhelming that the price per pound should be as high as it is. Salad bar items are 11.99 a pound. Olive bar, I would expect to be higher but not 11.99 as well. I completely understand and it's very well known that because of its organic food selections and quality that Whole Foods does selectively market to a higher economic demographic that is less price sensitive. However, I am in that upper demographic and I'm getting distracted by getting a salad and some olives and walking out of the store with a $35 bill. At this price, I can just eat at a restaurant, and a decent one at that.

Has similar set-up too, but i was told that ownership is different, so am thinking its on the lines of a franchise. Their food corner is much bigger with an in store kitchen. I believe some items like the vada pav, the samosas , and of course the dhokla get shipped to Hillcroft from here. They have an in house chat corner with two tables tucked away which I wouldn't suggest. Its a place to sit down for a bit, while I do appreciate the idea, it felt like I was eating in the middle of a warehouse , I didn't like it and did not even enjoy the bhel I bought. It probably was good I cannot say, I was famished and was so glad to find that they had my favorite chats, but once I sat down I just gulped down and couldn't wait to escape towards the better side of the store.... I would get a to- go next time. The vegetables I bought were fresh and the crates and crates of mangoes were just soo inviting. They carry everything required in an Indian kitchen and much more.

I am so disappointed with the staff, especially a white haired gentleman ( not sure if I should say…read moregentlemen). He was soooo rude yesterday when I wanted to exchange a few items. I have been going to Keemat Grocers since 1988 when it was on Settler's Way and Hwy 6. I bought products for the upcoming Lakshmi puja, but I dropped the bag on the floor and it touched my feet. I wanted to exchange four items ( a coconut , paan, bel leaves, and 2 suparies), and this staff initially wouldn't exchange the items and said so rudely and said to just wash them. I told him no and he very rudely asked me to get the items. I was shocked with his rudeness as if I was trying to get things for free. I would appeal to Bengalis in Sugar Land not to support Keemat grocers unless they train their staff to be polite and cordial.

When I asked an employee in the produce department where a scale was, he said, "No." I said that there HAD to be one as I needed a certain amount of white radish. He just stared back at me. The other employee next to him pointed to the far corner. Now, the "flank steak." As you can see from the picture, OVER half of the steak (blanched) is fat and membrane! It only comes packaged. I thought it had a thin membrane covering it, which would have been acceptable if it was over a long piece of steak. Didn't have time to go back. I arrived home at 6:30p and had to use it because the soup cooks for four hours and was being delivered tomorrow morning. (I hope that one star anise does not overpower the broth!) I should have had them unwrap it before purchase. Once, I bought a doong/joong/zongzi there that I unwrapped a few days later. It was moldy. When I returned it, no apology. Should have learned then to be aware. I will say that the cashier was friendly and smiled when she handed me the receipt.
