    The floral area is awesome!
    Brett J.

I never really thought about rating a grocery store... but I have had several experiences at this HEB that have now made me feel like I should. I like to buy Flowers for my wife... where I came from the florist and the local Whole Foods all knew me by voice alone. Then I moved to Austin... I have bought flowers from a florist twice and they were ok, but I like the extraordinary! And both times they were just ok... just hadn't found "that" place yet. Then I started going to this HEB... as a rule their flower selection is pretty good. Fresh, clean, a bit costly, but in general pretty good (I believe when it comes to flowers you get what you pay for!)! Then I started to watch their cooler... ! I'm not sure who is doing some of their arrangements but WOW! This was what I had been looking for! Large arrangements, unique looks, with lots of just flat out WOW! These were just made up and put in the cooler for sale... no order, no waiting... just walk up and select. PERFECT! I have been to several other HEB locations and they have not had this. I'm not sure who does this at this location, but HEB please listen to me... do not lose this! I buy flowers quite often and have no issue spending 100$ or more each time... and you have got me coming to you first! Please keep it up! Now the other experience... My wife and I like wine... I think we all know that really it is an essential... right? Well HEB has a good selection... and I like to try new types. Nothing exceptional here right? HEB has a great selection so going here for wine is a no brainer. However during my last time at this HEB I observed a lady, who I can only assume was a manager, helping a lady in the wine aisle. The customer was asking for cheap wine selections... I mean like 2 buck chuck stuff and what was better and really tying up this manager. The amazing thing was... the manager never faltered... she took her everywhere explained the differences and spent the time really helping! All for about a 6$ bottle. And when she was done she thanked the customer and didn't run from the aisle... she then helped people in beer, back in wine, and she was truly knowledgeable! I listened and even asked her some questions... she knew her stuff!! Kudos to HEB and their staff! This was a study in customer service! This HEB has become my goto store for sure!

    Pork ribs.

I love my H-E-B. I walked in for a few items and ended up grabbing four racks of ribs for under under $20. Add another $11 for post oak wood pellets and I'm heading home to smoke some ribs. They are now smoked and vacuum sealed into Eight two serving sized bags. That comes out to about $1.53 a serving.

Trunk scratches from heb car wash.

I have used other same style heb car washes for around 15 years. This Pfulgerville location recently left my car with scratches ALL over it. Looks like smaller versions of someone keying your paint job. There are too many scratches to count. I am very upset; cannot afford to have my car repaint due to simply driving it through the wash. Do not use this car wash!

Cute Dia De los Muertos stuff!!!

The steaks are phenomenal. Over 1 inch thick, beautifully marbled. They are grass fed and organic. We cooked them sous vide and then finished on the charcoal grill. My god, they were delicious. Every guest loved the steaks and more than one said these were the best steaks they have had in a long time. Juicy, flavorful, and like all authentic Wagyu should, the fat melts quickly and provides incredible flavor. Then we learned Colinas sells all kind of Wagyu, Prime, and other steaks including seasoned and pre-cooked meat form their sister company Takavron, which is a food truck. They also sell chicken, fish, some produce, and essentials like tortillas! Plus. they are local. They will deliver for free any order over $75. If you like steak, you need to give these guys a try.

THE BLACK AND WHITE: When I say Vietnamese-style, it's only because most of the internal signage is in vietnamese. They even have alcohol, dishes, candles, other houseware supplies, and some basic American products. Prices area generally competitive, some much better than others. My main complaint is that it can be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to find one specific thing. The other issue is that so many items have mislabeled prices or none at all. This can be challenging when you're trying to stay in budget while faced with more options that you can imagine. Also, fresh prepared items don't necessarily have their ingredients listed which can be scary for less adventurous eaters. The store is generally easy to navigate even through some cluttered set ups.

Prices are what the typical HEB prices are so no surprises there. It's B I G. Did I mention there's a True Texas BBQ right at the left entrance of the store? You can order via several kiosks and order online for pickup or just eat and then shop. Lines aren't too long either. They have multiple ways to checkout: the usual self-checkout 10 items or less, self-checkout 25 items or less, and the usual stand-in-line conveyor belt style. They sometimes have sample stations just depends which day you go (idk their schedule). Overall a very new and nice place to shop-eat-chill. I love my local HEB

The Mac and cheese was as close to the version I make at home that all love. It was very creamy and hot and fresh. I also ordered the onion rings and was surprised at how crispy there were. I had low expectations because most usually miss the mark for me. These were very good and will get them every time I return. The wait was a little long at 12:30 but very much worth it IMO. The restaurant has nice seating and several TVs to distract while waiting for your food. I need to remember not to go to the store around lunchtime because it will be hard for me to not eat here every time now.
