I've picked HEB over Wal mart since we've moved here. They have a great variety of groceries and house hold items. I love being able to do all my shopping at one place and not have to pay an arm and a leg for what I need. Only wish they would have more lanes open at one time at check out when the store is crowded. read more

Jesus Lord, I love this place. I'm a California girl, so I've been spoiled with placed like Safeway & Whole Foods. For a while, we lived on ft hood & went to the HEB in Killeen, which most of you already know isn't the best place on earth. I can't even tell you how happy I was after we moved to Cove & I stepped foot in this place for the first time. I mean, come on.. An entire aisle devoted to Health foods!? That's hard to find around here. It's the only place within 20 miles that sells bottled kombucha. Plus, their veggies are always top notch. I love you, Cove HEB. read more

The sushi and seafood section is so close to the bakery and fresh produce that it makes purchasing these products unpleasant due to the smell. One benefit of fresh baked goods is the delicious aroma enticing customers to purchase. At this location you just get a nose full of stench. The meat does not always appear fresh. I ALWAYS have to bag my own groceries due to lack of staff. This is very tasking while trying keep manage my children and pay. The berries are never fresh even when in season. Strawberries really shouldn't be on the self with mold growing on them. The only thing I enjoy about this place is the almost decent organic selection. read more

This heb is a lot less stressful to shop at compared to Killeen. Has a great selection of produce and international food. We go here probably twice a week. All goes great until you get to checkout. There are hardly any cashiers open. And seems like every time we go, I have to bag our groceries. What's the point of hiring baggers, if they're just standing around chatting to other employees not doing their specific duty? read more

This store is absolutely wonderful for blind individuals who live in the coppers Cove area. I have gone in there several times, and have always gotten the satisfaction of knowing, but I will get good customer assistance, and they will help me pick out the right things that I need. I enjoy going into the store, and would highly recommend it to any blind person who lives here to go into the store and check it out. Not only is there customer assistance nice, they have great food prices to match the big chain stores such as Walmart. read more

i love going to HEB. way better than wal mart! only thing is i dont get to people watch as much as wal mart. although heb does attract some of copperas coves finest. anyways free Samples of stuff all the time! free wine samples !?free sushi samples!? free random alcohol samples!? free raspberry lemonade samples! the heb brand things are way cheaper and taste just the same if not better than the pricey name brand things for example greek yogurt. they do online coupons and it seems like they always have a buy something get something random free item. one of these days we are actually gonna buy the sushi. we have no choice . copperas cove area pretty much sucks for dining and anything else . so yea HEB is the main attraction of this fine area. read more

I am soooo happy this placed opened! I no longer shop at the Commissary and rarely step into Walmart anymore. They have everything I need. Always bright and clean. I do like that they have fresh bakery goods as well as a health food aisle. read more

I love going here for grocery shopping. The staff is always friendly and if they don't know the answer to your question they will someone who does know the answer. The seafood selection is fantastic though I wish they had more wild caught fish. The store has a really great selection of products to purchase. The only bad thing that I have to say about it is their produce department is much to be desired. There is always food that is going bad on their sale racks. This needs to be addressed and fixed. But overall this store is great. read more

Everytime I go for the international aisle the shelves are bare as if no one cares to restock it or like they have nothing for it. Super disappointing esp when I ask a cashier about it and they barely make an attempt to help me find what I came for in the first place. Gas wasted! Thanks. I'm pretty sure falafel mix didn't just go flying off the shelf in a day and calling to a stocker who is more than likely STOCKING doesn't help me. They never have an appropriate number of checkstands open. I don't think I've ever been able to checkout in under 5 minutes from when I walked up to the register. Now they're posting signs on the door openly discriminating against Texans who choose to protect themselves. Amazon prime pantry here I come. read more

This review is for the cake department of the bakery only. I got a cake decorated there for my grandson's baptism and picked it up today. It is terrible! The crosss is crooked and out of proportion. The letters are jammed together and you can see spots where they messed up the lettering and redid it. I expressed dissatisfaction, but all I got was "I don't know who did it." They were very busy in the bakery and didn't really offer any other help. read more

Went to an wedding expo in Temple. Learned that HEB does wedding flowers arrangements, bridal bouquets and bulk flower orders. If you have a LARGE volume order, do NOT go here. They are not organized enough to handle it at HEB in Cove. First off they hand write your order which goes in a drawer sometimes, clipped to the back of their work station at other times or just plain missing. My second clue that this wasn't going to work out should have been during the quote process. My husband and I were becoming stalkers trying to figure out the total amount for our order. It's kinda sad after 3 weeks of calling and stopping at the counter to follow up. The florist know you by name and start rattling off why they don't have a quote ready. Somebody else was doing it but nobody has done anything with it. My bridal shoot was 2 weeks prior to my wedding. I asked for a mock bouquet, it was not done at the time requested. In fact Maggie started it after I arrived. Making me late for my photo shoot in Austin. They assured me that in two weeks it would be no problem. Everything would be ready to pick up and that two days prior to my pick up is when my bulk flowers would arrive. Day before the wedding - pick up day. What a joke! Bouquet not started, my most expensive flower per HEB ordered from Holland was sitting on a ledge only to be knocked down. Half of the blossoms broken at the base of the stem. Flowers totally left off the list! Thankfully my maid of honor was there to help sort thing out. I was emotional tapped out after working with HEB's floral department for over the last three months Unfortunately this set the tone for a very unpleasant day. I was in HEB today grocery shopping with my kids and I injured my knee running a week ago. So I was using a scooter and directing my kids what to get. When it came to check out two of the employees Perry and Alisha were so helpful. Perry who is a kind and courteous gentleman was my cashier and he helped my children load the groceries up to be scanned. Then Alisha who is a super sweet girl bagged my groceries and helped us out to our car. One of my beer bottles broke and she took it inside and got me a new one. We typically do our grocery shopping at HEB and will continue to do so. read more

Its the closets Cove will ever get to a Whole Foods. Healthy, whole foods are very important to my family, Cove HEB meets most of our needs. Im thrilled they are getting in more healthy processed foods like their Raw bars, but their vegan frozen section is dwindling, which is sad, We normally shop here bi-weekly and head to Natural Grocers in Temple monthly. Workers are normally friendly and helpful. When its just me and my young child shopping, baggers are always eager to help. I do notice if my husband is with me, they will go to someone else who seems in more need 1st (ie elderly, one adult with children). I dont mind this, I think thats great for them to be concerned with those who need more help. Im not opposed to bagging my own groceries, its a bit silly to be upset over something like that. Over all I like it there. If I were to say anything negative, I would say the carts could use a cleaning. I spend a good bit of time looking for one that isnt too gross for me to wipe down myself. read more

Very disappointed with this new super HEB I understand your a bigger store but do you really need to over stock so much that I am not receiving fresh food? This is the second time in two weeks that I have gotten spoiled food from your location,last week I purchased raspberries got home ready to eat them, I open the container ready to rinse them and eat and they mush up in my fingers when I try to pick them up then noticing some of them molded at the bottom. This week I go shopping while there I was going to buy some ears of sweet corn I notice mold growing in several different packages and point it out to a worker in the FRESH produce isle telling him he might want to do something with them befor some one else will see it. I then finish shopping, I purchased some yo plait crunch yogurt, today I open one up and put the granola topping on top while talking to my daughter and proceed to take a big bite of moldy yogurt, this yogurt has an expiration date of 8/14/13. What's going on here guys don't quite understand the poor quality of the food I am purchasing here. read more
