I called my vet, and they were unable to fit him into their schedule. It was a Friday, and they wouldn't be open again until Monday. I live in the Vienna area, so I called multiple other local vets, none of whom would see my kitten for a same day appointment. I called Amberwood, and they were able to fit him into their schedule that day. After driving an hour and a half to Amberwood, Dr. Burchard picked my kitten up and immediately knew he had a very high fever and would need antibiotics before even taking his temperature. He was surprised my kitten was still walking due to the fever being so high! He took the time to explain how my kitten likely contracted his illness, and what each of the medicines is for as well as what they equate to in human medicine terms. My kitten is now home resting and recovering. If I had waited for the next available appointment with my vet, things might not have had such a happy ending. Thank you to Dr. Burchard and the Amberwood staff for squeezing my kitten into your very busy schedule and making sure he was well taken care of. It was a hectic day for your office, but everyone was friendly and professional. I appreciate your expert care and only wish you were closer to Vienna!

Izzy loved the techs and the wonderful Dr. Corbett. She had her nails done, 3 rabies , skin sample of her ugly mole, body check and blood work! We came from Northern VA and three hour waits in the waiting room. Much higher prices and not necessarily friendly people. This whole office team worked like a well oiled machine. Their pricing was more reasonable, the presentation was thoughtful and respectful, and the staff communicated with genuine empathy during a very difficult time. When a veterinary hospital shows so little care for a family member's final arrangements and the handling of their remains, it raises serious concerns about the level of compassion within the overall practice. This experience was extremely unfortunate and deeply disappointing.

They said they would call before they came so I would have time to coax her back into the bathroom, but they did not call from their normal number, which my husband had entered into his phone, so he did not recognize the number and didn't answer (he was busy at work). When they showed up, I tried to corral the cat, but she wouldn't have any of it. They were rude and not the least bit understanding. Very unkind in their communication and demeanor. I understand being frustrated about the situation, but their attitude and way of handling it was extremely unprofessional. Do not recommend.

I explain to her that we were wanting someone to come to our home so that we did not have to pack Minnie up and take her into an office. She suggested to me several times different offices that I could take her to instead. Finally she told me that her assistant was on vacation and that she didn't really want to deal with it because she didn't know us or our pet. As we were trying to figure out what to do she finally said "well, I have other obligations so call me back and let me know what you want to do." I understand that she does not have a relationship with me personally but it does not take very much to show sympathy to someone who is losing a family member.

From start to finish, they treated my pup with outstanding care, professionalism, and genuine compassion. She had to undergo a spay and major bladder stone removal, and the entire team handled it with expertise and heart. The ladies at Four Paws made sure I felt informed, supported, and reassured every step of the way. They treated my girl like she was their own. Recovery has been set up for success, and I credit that to their thoroughness and real love for what they do. Also--the pricing was VERY fair, especially considering the level of care provided. My cat has diabetes and is almost out of medication. I have been dealing with this uncaring vet for more than 2 weeks to try to get a new prescription. They said they called Chewy which was a lie. Do not do business here. They don't care about you pet and they don't have it together. I'm on so much medication myself, just did my final round of chemo, i shouldn't be dealing with such a treacherous animal hospital. I'm finally getting her medication thanks to Chewy, no thanks to this place.
