She was well-mannered, professional, thoughtful and patient, answering all of my nervous questions and just did everything right. Compliments to Susy F the Treatment Coordinator again as well, for her professionalism, being on top of everything and kindness and patience in continuing to answer my remaining questions since I still have 2 smaller procedures left to do. Everyone at Dr. Field's office exemplifies Concierge Dentristry. Think of regular commercial airlines as being the usual dentist's office - and Dr. Field's office being the latest Gulf Stream G700 private long range jet. And Dr. Field is THE BEST. What he did with my mouth is nothing short of a total transformation, health wise for my mouth , bite wise and appearance wise. If you're using Cal Dental, they do accept it. I definitely felt lucky to get in so quickly. When I arrived for my appointment, I immediately noticed how clean the place was. Melanie was very welcoming, got me settled in, and took X-rays. Dr. Rios checked my teeth, and I had a full cleaning done. Melanie also showed me how to floss properly using two fingers. While examining my teeth, she did not ask me any questions or really communicate with me at all. I was unable to have X-rays because I am pregnant, which I understand, but I still expected the appointment to include some level of communication and attentiveness. During the cleaning, the doctor assumed that I had not been flossing regularly because I had been experiencing nausea. She told me, "I know you're nauseous, but you need to try and floss every day." I explained that I was not nauseous and that it would have been more appropriate and appreciated if she had simply asked me rather than making an assumption. She did not respond and continued the appointment without any meaningful communication. Unfortunately, I left feeling as though I was not treated like a person or that my individual concerns mattered. The lack of communication, care, and concern was very noticeable and made the experience uncomfortable. While the assistant was wonderful, my interaction with the doctor was enough that I do not plan to return.
