This might be my favorite H Mart Location. They have a ton of parking that's easy to get to. Not to mention the inside has always been clean and well stocked. The prepared food options are always so tempting in addition to the little food court area with a variety of offerings. Their raw seafood section smell smells clean, and I have never seen anything that looked offputting in their displays. If you are looking for essential Asian/korean cooking staples. This is the place I would recommend going because they have just about anything you could ask for. Their bathroom while small has always been clean every time I have visited. First time going to H Mart! Man, I've been living under a rock for not knowing about this place. This place is so clean compared to other Asian stores I've been to. The variety of banchan, Korean food choices, food court, produce, seafood, tons of hotpot/bbq meat cuts, etc. They have so much stuff to try. The staff at Hansol were very nice, I came here to get the ingredients for the tofu stew and she gave me good advice on what I need and don't necessarily need. I frequent this location of H Mart for multiple reasons. My wife and I love to do our grocery shopping here particularly for their meat and banchan selections. The cuts of meat here are our go to for at home KBBQ. We love their thin sliced brisket and ribeye. The selection of kimchi is choice and they have so much Banchan it's hard to keep count. Their Fuji Apples are delicious and huge. This H Mart is usually stocked with those viral Mango, Lemon and White Peach ice cream. If you have never tried it you're definitely missing out. One of main reasons I love this H-Mart is their food court vendors. The Tous Les Jours and Awoolim are the stand outs. We love the bakery and drinks at Tous. So much stuff, so clean, organized, easy parking, big location. I've only been to about 5 different H marts, Burlington,MA location being the first one, San Diego being the 2nd and all others in between. But I must say I really like this location. If it wasn't so far from me I would come here regularly. No long lines and plenty of cash wraps with real cashiers to assist you. The store is not packed, you can shop around comfortably. Enter one way and exit at the end, once you just even merely take a step even close to the exit door (but did not exit yet) and decided you wanted a piece of candy from the cash wrap area, instead of letting you turn around to do so, then say sorry you have to go back around... even if there was no customers in the register area.. This is the closest H Mart to it and I remember being much younger, maybe around high school age and being blown away by it. However, after visiting a couple other H Marts as an adult, my eyes have been widened just a bit more haha. I like that there's a Bank of America ATM right outside and they do have a small food court here. The kimbap and manjoo place have never changed and they've always been staples for more than a decade where some of the other businesses have changed hands throughout the year's (Cheesetella, etc.). I believe it's also where the closest Tous les Jours is to me as well. It can get crazy with the parking and cashier lines on certain days though and just know that later towards the day, even mid afternoon on weekends, some of the better options for sashimi and some hot foods may be out, but they do try to do their best with getting as much out as possible. Sometimes you get crazy good deals like recently when I found over $10 off on some viral sweet/regular potato mochi breads and some of the Toomba Shin Ramyun noodles, but other times, I would say it's just okay and comparable to other Korean markets out there. Nothing that really blows my mind. Weekends you do get to try samples some times too, but they're generally harvested quite quickly as well. Overall, solid H-mart, if anything. read more

9/15/24 Still on the search for net cover for food to keep flies & critters away. I figured most Asian stores would have these but 99 Ranch didn't have one! So I decided maybe H Mart would have it & the closest one is the one in Diamond Bar . Off we go to Diamond Bar. This happens to be a SUPER H Mart. It does not appear to be bigger than most of the other branches but it boasts plenty of prepared foods (huge selection) and also a lot of individual stalls or vendors surrounding the inside of the market. After roaming for more than 30 minutes, I couldn't find the food net but I did find blanket covers (instead of using plastic bags). I had fun going from aisle to aisle checking out what they had to offer. Everything was so neatly organized. It was refreshing to find some stuff I wouldn't have thought they would be selling. I found a clothes drying contraption for delicate items or ones you wouldn't to dry in the drier. There were so many cooking implements that were really neat too. Fresh produce department was fairly large, also found those $$$ grapes for $19.99. The meat & seafood department are impressive with all sorts of cuts of meat, some frozen as well. Everything looks fresh (no funky smells unlike 99 Ranch). Hubby took advantage of the cooked foods and ate his at the dining area. This location is very big and usually has a variety of cold and hot foods. I like how clean it is and how stocked it is. We've been coming here for years and today was one of the best we've seen it. We couldn't find our particular brand of Korean ginseng but that's okay. It's usually there but today we just couldn't find it. The people stocking the shelves and cleaning aren't particularly nice but they're not unapproachable. I've asked them where items are and they've helped. Sometimes their English is limited and I understand. Overall, it's a great HMart. It's in a shopping center near a Taekwondo spot and several restaurants. This is a really huge Super H-Mart located in Diamond Bar. I was amazed and overwhelmed at how many pre-packaged banchan there are. There were so many aisles of inventory of fresh fruits and vegetables, dry packaged foods, variety of meats, seafood, household goods, and so much more. I ended up getting some pre-peeled jackfruit. It wasn't the sweetest jackfruit, but still decent tasting. Btw, first time, they provide forks right near the pre-cut fruits area... so cool! Now that's customer service!! The line wasn't that long, but I hope Korean supermarkets add self checkouts one day. The lady in front of me tried recycling those little styrofoam packaging things for the pears, but I don't think the cashier accepted them. It's bigger than I remembered it to be. There's a food court that's attached, and I mistakenly grabbed some 김밥, thinking I'd pay at the register. It was confusing because I thought I saw their products off to the side near the market side and some actually closer to their storefront. Anyway, someone had to chase me down to tell me I was supposed to pay for it there first. There's a lot going on. It's busy on a Saturday evening around 5:45 PM. I felt like they had a lot of items, yet at the same time, it felt like there wasn't really anything special. Maybe it was too hectic, and I was tired. There were some things on sale like the crab, but shopping is not so kind with some of these overwhelming prices. One of the stores is empty with only a few products lining the way, so it looks they'll bring a business in. Right next to it is Aritaum. Open 365 days, this has been a go-to especially when we have unexpected visitors. For us, the stand out has been their marinated meats section to the back of the store. When we need to feed more mouths, we just pick up the meat to cook it in minutes at home. The price is so much cheaper than ordering takeout! Sometimes, with the bone in meats, we've used it as a conversational piece over the grill. Despite the play options, this location has managed to keep their floor clean and odor to a minimum. The service is wonderful. Their items are neatly arranged and restocked timely. The lines at checkout are also managed well; there's always another register open (when available) to manage the wait. The only down side is having a parking lot shared by other popular businesses. read more

During the check out, I asked the cashier to the Hmart Calendar, and the male Asian cashier told me we no longer have it, please check with the customer service, after waiting for a few minutes, the customer service told me to check with cashier for calendar. Total ridiculous. There is no service. Here comes the shady business practice by Hmart, I bought a weekly special Haio Yuza Tea with Honey (Regular $6.99 on sale for $4.99 Limit Two. When I got home and check the receipt, I am being charged $6.99 instead of $4.99 on sale. I do not know if you need to show the membership to get this price. However, the cashier never asked for membership for the discount. Never going back to this store. Awoolim, Castellla, Tous Le Jours to name a few. Bakery Located right inside Super H Mart when you enter the market. They offer different varieties of Breads, pastries, cakes, desserts & even popsicle Love Tous Les Jours has the best Breads and their cake is also yummy. A well known Korean bakery. Their cakes are so cute along w yummy and not overly sweet at all.. So many varieties of cakes, pastries & bread. Their breads are always so yummy & fresh. My fav is the cream edition breads. Sounds a bit sweet but not sweet at all. I love the Matcha cream Than the Taro cream I had the butter cream and it wasn't as great as the Matcha & the taro. Great to enjoy w coffee & tea. We love H Mart. Whenever I need a quick pick up for Asian ice creams and dessert, kimbaps, meats for Korean bbq, etc this is my convenient jam. Most recently we came here to pick up tteok (Korean rice cakes) for my daughter's one year old party. Tip- if you want your pick of rice cakes, come in the mornings. When I came in the evening, almost all the rice cakes were gone. When I returned in the morning before 9 am, the entire selection was still available. That just shows you how fresh their shipments are. The rice cakes were a hit at the party. Even though I bought 6 packs, all were consumed. H Mart also has a little food court where you can get so many goodies ranging from Korean bakery treats, KFC, kimbap, mandoo, and so much more. This isn't your regular H Mart, but "Super" H Mart. This is my go to for when I make hot pot, as they have all the ingredients that you'll find at hot pot restaurants. This H Mart location also has a fairly extensive selection of fruits and vegetables. For example, I come here when I'm craving lychee or mangoes. Even though I live about 20 minutes away from here, I come here because it's common for Costco not to have lychee in stock. Also, this location has several varieties of mangoes not found at most other stores I've been to. Asian pears--which are considered a 'superfood' because of its dense fiber, high vitamin C, antioxidant, and mineral content, as well as low glycemic index (an underrated fruit in my opinion that has a high hydration content)--are generally sweet from here when in season. You can also find bok choy, Chinese broccoli, Napa cabbage, mizuna, and tatsoi here. Freshness is one key to making a delicious meal--and the produce here is consistently fresh. This is also where I usually first go for when I make Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Thai, or Vietnamese food. I like to make all of it from scratch--and H Mart covers about 75 to 100 percent of the ingredients they require. For the items that H Mart doesn't have, I generally make my way to 99 Ranch Market, in Rowland Heights, for Chinese; Seafood City, in West Covina, for Filipino; Nijiya Market, in Puente Hills, for Japanese; Silom Supermarket, in Los Angeles, for Thai; and Dalat Market, in Garden Grove, for Vietnamese. Sometimes, for more difficult items to find, I'll order online from Amazon or Tokyo Central's website (there's also a brick and mortar Tokyo Central in West Covina).
