Very clean, fully stocked, shelves are immaculate, not a bottle out of place, everything was lined perfectly, end to end. Produce section had a large selection of fruits and vegetables, all looking fresh as can be. The meat and seafood departments beautifully displayed all of their items, also looking very fresh, no fishy smell, very clean. Small row of misc. restaurants on the right side, serving baked items to sushi. Price could be a little high, but you paying for high quality here. read more

My go-to super market! This location isn't as big as Arcadia, but everything is still clean, organized, and ingredients/quality is still the same. I love their marinated spicy pork belly and spicy chicken! I recently tried their marinated short ribs, but I felt as there were a lot of little pieces of the bones by the meat. The food court in this H-mart is smaller than Arcadia, but the parking lot has a lot more food/restaurant to try if you aren't craving what they have. read more

When it comes to Asian markets, H-Mart stands out as one of the cleanest with a great selection of fresh meat, seafood and produce. I particularly come here for the marinated chicken and the marinated Korean beef short ribs to barbecue at home (because K-BBQ restaurants are getting $$$) . Also the selection of spicy Korean ramen is awesome. The only setbacks are that the parking lot can get tight because so many people shop here, and the lines can get long. When paying today, there were only 2 lines open (fairly early in the morning) but the staff was pretty quick to open more cashier stations. The side food shops are always convenient too if you wanna get a hot meal, dessert, or some kimbap to go. read more

I found a hot pot veggie pack containing mushrooms, onions, and leafy greens for $20, which I found to be EXTREMELY overpriced, but I guess if you don't feel like buying big bundles of all the veggies, slicing it, and washing it, It's definitely worth it for the convenience. read more

Today, a very unpleasant experience happened at this supermarket. When I went to pay, I mistakenly stood at the checkout counter, which only accepts cards and not cash. A Mexican woman in her forties angrily yelled at me, "You can't pay cash here!" I immediately apologized, saying sorry I hadn't noticed.she called her manager over and rudely told me I had to be more careful next time. I was shocked by her rude attitude; it was as if she thought this was her place and she was kicking me out. I go to this supermarket almost every week, but this is the first time I've encountered something like this. I felt this Mexican woman was completely untrained; it was like she was telling me to get out. It's unbelievable that such a rude checkout clerk could be so unpleasant in such a nice environment. It's completely out of character for this supermarket! What was supposed to be a pleasant weekend turned into a terrible day. read more

Great selection, but have to watch out for county of origin of some veggies and products. I try to avoid Chinese food stuff, and there's a lot of then for example garlic, ice cream, condiments, sauces. I don't mind using Chinese made items, but I just don't trust the processes and ingredients from Chinese suppliers. There's been too many food safety scandals from there. read more

One of my favorite asian supermarkets to shop at whenever I'm cooking asian foods. Although I do have to admit that not everything in here is cheap, especially higher prices on meats. They have a huge selection of veggies and meats. Small selection of seafood (surprisingly). Huge selection of already prepared marinated meats and korean sides! Nice selection of beer, sake, soku, and alochol. And of course a nice snack and ice cream selection too. They also have a small food court as well if you happen to get hungry! This is Super H-Mart, a Korean grocery store where you can find all sorts of Korean (and other ethnic) store items. There aren't many K markets where I live, but I do prefer this location over Arcadia's and the ones in K-town because of the selections and size of the store. Parking is also plentiful as it shares the spots with other stores in a large plaza and this market is fairly clean when compared to other grocery store standards. There is a bakery section, banchan (Korean side dishes), Korean style restaurants in the food court area (one of which offers ready-to-go meals such as basic sushi, spicy pork, mac salad combination boxes as pictured below), and also one shop that makes these fresh and crisp fish shaped snacks filled with custard, chocolate or red bean. There are also mini shaped fish filled with coffee, custard, red bean, etc. Yum!! I always get this when I'm in the area. Some items I can get for cheaper at other Asian markets, but if you're having a KBBQ night or something, I would recommend checking out this Korean grocery market for your needs and also trying out the stand that prepares the fresh taiyaki "fish" dessert snack ! read more

We love H mart! Clean inside. The vegetables and fruits are cheap and fresh. So many varieties to choose from. They also have a few restaurants inside where can you order food and sit inside H mart have a quick bite to eat. Checkout is usually fast unless you go on Sunday afternoon then it'll take a while to checkout. Fresh seafood as well. read more

Do not buy vegetables that are prepackaged and put in plastic bags from H Mart. They are cheating customers by including old and wilted vegetables together with newer ones and passing them off to unsuspecting customers. Look at my picture of a recent purchase - on the right are the prepackaged Chinese broccoli and beside it are the wilted and rotting broccoli that they placed in the middle so no one will see them! So, it all started with a video about a banana milk mug. I couldn't find much information on the availability, but some kind people posted about the promotion being active until the end of that day. Cue, the banana milk mug adventure! I convinced my best friend we should venture to H Mart, in the rain and after work, to hunt for the banana milk mug. Upon entering H Mart, you were greeted by COVID-era Santa (he's probably not there anymore), encouraging safe grocery shopping. The initial aisle you walk down is stocked with loads of delectable ramen options and boarders the fresh produce. We browsed the little banchan area, which was pretty full for 7 PM; this was in stark contrast to the the sashimi area, which was practically empty save for the 2 lonely containers of salmon. We bought some BBQ beef kimbap from Awoolim on a whim. You'll pay for the kimbap at the storefront (by the banchan area), not at the H Mart checkout, and it was a little pricier than other places ($9/pack). However, the flavor was definitely worth the price tag. It was the perfect combination of smoky with a hint of tangy. We wandered through the rest of the store, and found a designated Yakult fridge and fully stocked shelves of snacks. Upon locating our banana milk boxes, there was sign saying the mug would be provided at checkout. Checkout was a breeze. The cashier saw our box of banana milk and had the mug ready for us. They even remembered to ask me if I had a rewards account, since I forgot to pull it up on my app. Definitely a great location with an abundance of parking, since it's in a plaza with many other stores. I do hope H Mart markets these promotions a little differently in the future, since it was really hard to locate any information on their app or Instagram. A part of me does wonder if this was done on purpose as a holiday perk for those of us really into banana milk, but I guess we'll never know for sure. read more

I used to love H Mart, as it's one of the nicer Asian grocery stores with a wide selection, and feels cleaner than Ranch 99, etc. BUT, recently I've been offended and severely disappointed with the vegetable quality, particularly the Bok choy and Ong Choy. They look great in the plastic bags, but it's all for show! Once you buy it, take it home and open it up, they HIDE all the bad/rotten leaves in the middle. The audacity of them putting the good parts on the visual areas and HIDING all the bad leaves in the middle is ridiculous. Or maybe they just suck at packing the vegetables into the bags... Shady. I've started having to go back to 99 Ranch to get my vegetables and surprisingly they don't play these games! H Mart, you need to do better! read more

I enjoy visiting this H Mart for quick grocery runs at night, since the sun is down. In addition, I expect less foot traffic at night, which makes it easier for me to get in and get out. This is true of this H Mart as well. I visited H Mart on other occasions in the afternoon out of convenience, but to be honest it is very inconvenient. Sometimes, I'll need two items and would like to check out, but the lines are always backed up with 20-30 parties and only two cashiers. When I need 2-3 items, I'm not looking to spend 90 minutes in the grocery store. I do however, like this H Mart because it is fairly clean, and most of the items are high quality. One of the few exceptions and disappointments is the vegetables, where I'll often come at night to find them dried up or fairly wilted. Thankfully, I've never found anything rotten. read more

The Hmart in Diamond Bar was really interesting as it was located on a hill near the mountains -- I didn't know this place was a Korean-heavy town, but my aunt told me that it was heavily populated by Korean people. I was able to stop by here to drop my mom off to get picked up by my aunt and stopped by. This Hmart is pretty big for size considering the sizes of Hmarts in the LA area and it even has a food court with Korean restaurants. As you can see from the photo, the logo makes it look like this Hmart is pretty old, but if you go inside, it looks well-maintained. You can definitely see more Chinese items since it's more of a Chinese people-populated area but you'll still see everything that Hmart has. I was pretty satisfied with this Hmart and everything it offered -- they also have Tesla Superchargers at the back of the plaza so you can charge your car while grocery shopping and there are a lot of other Korean/Asian tenants in the plaza. It's hard to find if you're not using your GPS because it's on a mountain... but it's a nice little surprise if you're able to find it! read more

Update: Don't bother emailing H-Mart customer service because there won't be any resolution. They'll just respond with the typical "We will notify the store of this matter. Thank you for shopping with us." No matter how often these line issues occur and no matter how many resolutions are provided, nothing will be done about it. Time of altercation - October 1, 2021 @ 1:28pm I'm done shopping here. The line system is horrendous and unorganized, not to mention the faulty decision making by the employee everyone in our line encountered today. First of all, the lines were extremely long and there was only 2 cashiers on the registers (registers #6 and #7). I got in line at Register #7 and the line continued to get longer behind me for several minutes. When I get to the front of my line another 10 minutes later, a lady in the line next to me going to register #6 (who, by the way, got in line AFTER I had been waiting in my line for over 5 minutes already) decides to start screaming at me that our line doesn't go to that register and points down at the ground where there are pieces of tape that indicate her line goes to both registers #6 AND #7 (which I'm sure everyone else in her line wasn't even aware of because no one from their line even came to our register) and our line was only supposed to be designated to register #8, which anyone could clearly see, wasn't open. Mind you, this lady has nothing but a bouquet of flowers in her hands while I'm visibly carrying a heavy bag full of groceries and a large sack of rice in my arms. Me and a few customers waiting behind me told her to relax and that we were obviously in line at that register before she even got there. When the lady starts making a scene, a young female employee comes over and without even trying to empathize, understand, and come up with a FAIR solution, she takes the selfish woman's side right away and tells our ENTIRE line of over 15 people, that we have to go to the back of the other line while also pointing at the arrows. I have already been waiting in THIS line for 20 minutes behind other people and they have been able to check out and leave.. now you're cutting ME and all the people behind me off when we've all been waiting? AND I'm on my lunch break, mind you. I DON'T HAVE FREE TIME TO BE STANDING IN LINES. This isn't Disneyland. I'm just trying to get my groceries and go like everyone else. Please tell me, how are people in the back of the store/aisles who are getting in line supposed to see the tape on the GROUND all the way in the front when the lines are that long? If you want to avoid confusion, you should have signs HUNG UP above the registers so everyone in the back can see them. You can't expect every customer to go to the front of the registers, look at the ground, and then walk all the way back to get in the proper line.. especially when it's THAT busy. Or maybe just ask another employee to get on Register #8 because the lines were clearly backed up anyway. How is it fair that people in our line who were already waiting there for so long now have to get in ANOTHER long line? How can you even let the line get that long before telling people they can't line up there? So the other line gets to now have TWO registers and our line gets NONE? There are plenty of other ways these situations can be resolved, though I don't think this employee cared much in the first place, seeing as she obviously had a terrible attitude and no regard for customer satisfaction. The woman waiting behind the selfish lady was nice enough to insist that I go in front of her since she could see I was there before them and I was already struggling with my groceries. I used to love shopping at H-Mart. I drive from cities away to come here to get all my Asian foods, but it's just not worth it anymore. To the lady that thinks the world revolves around her: Okay, there's tape in front of the registers on the ground that indicated your line went to two registers. But nobody from your line ever came into our line. Hmm.. didn't you think that was odd? You clearly see there are people in front of and behind me that have been going through this register for the last 20 minutes and you didn't say anything until it got to your turn. It was obviously a one-line-to-one-register situation (which is the MOST COMMON line system at supermarkets) and everyone there knew that, including YOU. But of course the "rules" only work when it's in your favor, right? I'm even more shocked by the fact that the H-Mart employee could make the poor decision of taking your side over our entire line. read more

Stumbled across this market while in the area for a facial. For comparison, I used to frequent both Korean markets in Koreatown for years when I lived in la city limits. This location is 3X the size of those other 2 markets! 4/5 is for 2 reasons: 1) their food court setup sucks. The seating area is very narrow and crammed together. The tables are so close together that it's impossible to walk behind someone else's chair to sit at your table without making them get up and move. Doesn't make sense why there's so little seating and why it's so crammed together when the store itself is huge compared to other Asian markets. Also, there's a bakery + 4-5 restaurants all sharing maybe 15 small tables. Second reason for 4/5: 2) their prices on house-made sides are really high. I was also frustrated to see popular meats like bulgogi only packaged in enormous increments (3+ lbs per package), making what should be the purchase of a cheaper meat unaffordable for a family of 2 like mine. We'd never eat $20 worth of bulgogi all packaged together before it went bad! The restaurant options are cool. I had bipimbop with beef. Generous portion + miso soup and a tiny serving of kimchi for $9 after tax. One of the spots even sold Korean-American fusion: bulgogi burgers, fries, etc. My fav part besides the food at the food court was the produce of course! No where else but the Korean market can you find Fuji apples the size of your face for pennies per lb! read more

I like to come here from time to time to get groceries. They have food court , Atrium makeup store and optometry.

Good product selection, prices are ok, but worst Customer Service. CS office closes early so if you buy something after 7PM and need to contest wrong pricing, a bad signage or to return a product you just bought, the cashier just asks you to come back tomorrow. When open, CS is not really interested in your satisfaction, they try to convince you that the product is not spoiled or that the wrong product is "also good". If you go shop frequently, will end up feeling ripped off at least once per year. read more

From plenty of vegetables and fruits, to cooked items, to marinated meats and banchan, to fresh seafood, and all the groceries you would need (noodles, rice, sauces, etc) + in the time of COVID they do a good job with keeping carts sanitized. There is often someone inside to wipe / dry your cart when you enter. Masks are required. +/- they MOSTLY clean the belt at the register before you put your groceries on. + love the variety of vegetables and fruits. From dragonfruit, to rambutan, to persimmon, to jujube, and mangosteen. The list goes on, depending on the season. Plenty of veggies to choose from, too. +love buying the kimbap from one of the stalls there + just really love the variety they have. And if ever you need instant noodles, they have noodles for daaays! + it's clean read more

This is the best super market to shop at in Diamond bar. You can find whatever you are looking for here. There is a bakery located at the front of the market where you can pick up baked goods or even cakes for celebrations. If you are hungry and want to grab a quick bite, there is a little food court with multiple restaurants where you order at the cashier. When the food is ready, they will call your number and you pick up your tray of food and can sit wherever you want. There is one spot you can order huge dumplings for to-go, my mom always grabs some when she goes to H-mart. Overall everything in the store is fresh from the produce, side dishes, fish, seafood, dairy, and more. They have a home goods section that sells everything from rice cookers, gas stoves, kitchen utensils, etc. If you like sashimi, you can pre-order platters too! Looking for an optometrist? There is one near the home goods section in the left front corner when you walk into h-mart. I've got my eyes checked here and bought frames for under $150. They have a wide variety of frames you can choose from too. Parking: Huge lot, the lot can get crowded, but you will always be able to park even if that means you have to walk a little. read more

We bought some yummy food from here! Wow they had taiyaki fish and it was so fresh! They make it when you order it, so when you eat it, it's warm and delicious. The fillings aren't overly sweet, so perfect for those who aren't a fan of sweets. My favorites were the red bean and mozzarella cheese. It's best to eat them right when you get it, especially the mozzarella cheese, or else the cheese inside may harden up. The fish itself is mochi I think, and it is really crunchy! I recommend! We also got some squid, pork ear, and a side dish (I can't remember the name), but they were really good! read more

200th Review Thanksgiving Dinner Clean, Good Price, and Courteous Servers Because of pandemic of COVID-19, I decided to do something special for Home Alone Thanksgiving Dinner - steamed Maine Lobsters - in memory of my beloved late husband's favorite. Few days ago, I started checking on nearby markets for live lobsters. I went to all the fish sections for prices, watching how fish tanks were maintained, and I just couldn't decide which market for live Maine Lobsters. Considering the H Mart was a 10 miles drive, I made a phone call to check the price first. A courteous fish section personnel quoted $9.99 per pound for live Maine Lobster - the lowest price among all the markets I had previously inquired. Then I scanned through the photos in Yelp - the fish department seemed reasonably presented. So I went straight to H Mart fish section this morning and I was impressed how the fish tanks were maintained and the cold temperatures were kept in the fish vending stands. In less than one hour, I brought home two live Maine Lobsters, along with two freshly bagged butterfishes and jumbo size pink shrimps - Ha! The mission accomplished.
