The woman in the photo handling the food samples was extremely rude and disrespectful to my child. My child took a sample (only once), and she abruptly told my child not to return saying something I won't give it to you if you return? WTH??speaking in a harsh and inappropriate tone, and in front of parent. There was absolutely no reason to speak to a child that way. What is the problem for the child to take one single sample??? The behavior was so shocking and unacceptable. If you do not like your job, DONT be the there. Management, please take this matter seriously! It completely ruins customers' experience. read more

This is probably the best H Mart I've ever been to. We come to this H Mart pretty often because it's so nice. It has the best ever produce section of any grocery store I've been to in the New York City area. They have probably six different kinds of eggplants alone. You can get any kind of tropical fruit, any kind of citrus, any kind of grape, any kind of mango... Truly incredible produce. They also have an amazing seafood section. Live fluke, king crab, razor clams, abalone. They really have it all. If you come on a Saturday or Sunday, they have ladies making kimchi, Bulgogi, samples, fresh fruit samples, roasted sweet potatoes to buy. It's a fun environment to walk around in. The food court is a huge disappointment. But there's a great Korean restaurant named Soram next-door that we often have lunch at. Make sure to also visit D'Avant Bakery next-door and pick up a cube of their chestnut bread. read more

Absolutely huge! It's a supermarket and mall filled with some niche smaller stores for the Korean community that seems to be very big here. They had good seafood options fresh and many brand names along with smaller household items, makeup, and clothing stores. It definitely diverse in shoppers. I got a good amount of interesting items I wouldn't get in smaller hmarts. You can take your cart mostly all over the store and mall area surprisingly ~ very helpful if you don't want to make a trip to the car and still want to take a walk around the smaller shops including gongcha. Very open and packed with lots of items without feeling too overwhelming ~ Would come again for a haul~ read more

The signage above the main entrance says Super H Mart, and this H Mart lives up to its signage. It's bigger than some other stores, has its own sizable Japanese section, and there are individually owned bakery, clothing shops, and even Gong Cha within the same building, which is imagine make this a destination. Prices are comparable overall to other H Mart stores, although I find that some things cost more or less than local Asian and Korean grocery stores, so it might be worth shopping around. On weekends there's usually such a chaos due to the sheer volume of cars coming in and out, and it's definitely less so during the week. There's a food court we haven't tried yet, and a mum and pop snack shop that makes mane staples for takeaway. I've tried their soups which are as good as equivalent stuff made by Jin GA and Pinocchio. Long live H Mart. read more

This is a Super H-Mart. Inside is a small mall of sorts, with a Gong Cha Boba place, a very nice Tea store and Acupunture. You enter the main entrance to H-Mart and it is huge. Inside: Everything is laid out clearly, with great ambience and lighting. Selection of course is superb. No complaints about the inside and layout Service: Didn't need Customer Service but I really liked how the sampler ladies were never pushy. No complaints here Prices: On the higher side but it depends on the category that you want, and if course this is subjective to each individual. Personally I felt the marinated meat selection underwhelming and more on the expensive side even compared to other H-Marts or the Ham Nam store nearby. Protein section was also on the higher end. At the time it was 8/24 and Hot Pot beef packets were 25-30. The chicken legs and breasts - I personally would go elsewhere. Checkout: Many lanes and convenient. You won't get your death stares from Wal-Mart, but I think we all know the trade off. This is a rather large H Mart - there seems to be a huge Korean population in the area. Many of the shoppers are Korean and so are almost all the workers. There is a small cafeteria in the back with plenty of seating - this is where the famous Korean chef's korean/chinese fusion restaurant has opened (Paik's Noodle). The spicy jjajangmyeong is REALLY spicy - it's loaded with chili oil and serrano peppers. As a spicy food lover I would not recommend this - it's spicy for the sake of being spicy and not good. The jjampong is delicious. The jjajangmyeong is on the sweet side for my tastes. They also offer drinks in a cooler ($1 for water). You must show receipt to pick up your order. You bus your own table and take it to a corner with your tray when you're done. The H Mart itself has a huge selection of fresh seafood and pre-packaged foods like kimbap and other korean dishes. Outside the H mart are a selection of Korean small businesses selling clothing, cute stationery, blankets, pastries, etc. They all seem a bit sad and not well patronized honestly. Parking is a bit horrendous during popular times. You can wait maybe 10-15 minutes just trying to get in or out of the parking lot. read more

Super H Mart with lots of parking and options in the plaza. This super H mart have so much options that completely differs from the typical H mart. We enjoyed browsing the shop (and still haven't eaten at their food court yet- perhaps one day) and looking at all the deals availble here. I highly enjoy the samples and learning about new products. Love love the fresh store-made items such as the non-shrimpy kimchi. Most kimchi are made with shrimp (I'm allergic) so I was so excited to find out without shrimp but made fresh (I hate overly fermented old kimchi- too sour & soggy). We live close by to this Super Hmart. Always a go to with the freshest of everything between meats, seafood, fruits, organic foods, meal preps, household items and more. It connected to smaller shops inside if you choose to browse around more. If you're ever hungry, there's a back food court. Small, but a good way to rest when you are either grocery shopping or taking the time to eat before you head out again. There are more food options around the corner where you can grab more food such as sushi, soups, dumplings, and more to add to your options when you sit in the food court. This was the first Hmart we visited in New Jersey, and I was absolutely pleased. Not the biggest Hmart I've been to, but I just feel like no hmarts can compare to Georgia's hmarts in terms of size. We needed some masks, Korean snacks and alcohol so we came by here. This hmart has a pharmacy, a liquor store and some other Korean tenants attached right to this Hmart so you can pretty much get anything and everything you need. It was medium-sized and you could find what you needed to. Hmart is headquartered in New Jersey so I'm sure this state has a lot of pride in NJ, and I've been pleased with all my hmart visits here. Have been a regular customer for the past many years and finally got a chance to write a review. Well, what made me to finally do it? Look at the extra space it's got!!! It looks like this location has almost doubled its size!! Where did the space come from?? The food court was recently renovated with many options. Produce is fresh and cheaper compared to other local supermarkets. Love how it carries many of the Chinese veggies such as Chinese broccoli, watercress, "choy sum", etc. Huge watermelons available throughout the summer. Lots of marinated meats for BBQ and frozen food for hot pot. Temperature is checked upon entry and gloves are provided to every customer. So glad to have an Asian market in the hood. read more

Solid H Mart, it's quite big! The only "con" is that things are super pricey, but I guess that's what happens when you go to H Mart. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and this place was not too crowded in side but surprisingly their parking lot was packed so finding parking took a little bit of time. Once inside, I asked the staff where the bathroom was and he was very friendly to point me to the right direction. After I was done, I was then able to leisurely walk around and check this place out and everything was very well organized. The sign were huge so it's not hard to figure out which aisle you were at and what goodies they has to offer. Everything in this store looked fresh and I ended up getting a really good deal at $0.99/lbs on short ribs bones. I saw the lady packing them and she even help me find the best bag that had a little extra meat attached to it. Lol. This is how I know their customer service is supreme! I usually reserve my reviews and opinions for restaurants. However, I love this H Mart. They have tons of stuff. I feel like a big kid. They carry a great variety of fruits and vegetables. Their meat dept, while not cheap, carries great quality meats of every kind. They even age their own steaks on the premises. Their seafood department is equally as impressive. Every section you come by has a huge selection of items. There is a whole soy sauce aisle!! Ramen, dumplings, sweets, prepared foods, etc. You name it and it's here. Just go and wander. I've been to a handful of other HMarts during the pandemic and I have to say this one took it the most seriously - even a year in. Before you go in, they hand you plastic gloves and check your temperature. Once inside, there was less enforcement of social distancing, but it's easy to maneuver around. This was the best stocked HMart I've ever visited. It almost had everything we were looking for (X was here for a very obscure milk tea drink that I've only ever been able to order online via HMart). Their cooked foods section was the most comprehensive I've ever seen and you bet I picked up some kimbap for later! Check out was quick and easy. The excitement of going in here upon parking your car and a staff member gives you a pair of plastic gloves before entering. It's that feeling of excitement to get fresh greens, dumpling wrappers and other specialty items to try. I think I was thinking of a different market. The supermarket is definitely a super center for the H Mart and the largest location I have ever seen. I thought by coming to this location in NJ in comparison to the other locations, I would find the lowest prices. The prices were all about the same. But I have to say, incredibly high. I have shopped in china town and specialty Japanese stores in nyc my entire life and I found this to be very costly. Although the store is very large, not as many options as I thought there would be. I never agreed with all the plastic that the food is wrapped in. It's terrible for the environment. It is such a turn off when I see thousands of styrofoam containers Witt vegetables inside wrapped in clear wrap. The fish department does offer the best prices I have seen. They had every fish you could imagine. Needless to say, the fish is not on ice but it is on a temperature regulated table (that's the best way I can describe it). While I was there, not many people were buying and a lot of the fish that were in the tanks had a lot of other dead fish in the tank with the others swimming around and eating the other fish. Didn't seem so fresh. If you are looking for a rice cooker or some Asian pots and pans they have a selection here in the back. They also sell some Korean spa products. I would suggest ordering online. When I asked for some help in the grocery store, store representatives seemed so crazed. It was difficult to find someone on the floor to ask questions. A lot of people were in the frozen section to purchase bao buns and dumplings. I suppose when you are in a crunch and want dumplings you could pick some up here. No tapioca balls for bubble tea? They have been back ordered for months. They have an area to purchase food to eat. I did not try this but it seemed that a bunch of people were waiting on line to have some food in the back. Hmart is a portal to Korea, its that simple. The produce, marinated meats, huge variety of rarely seen fishes, groceries and a multi "restaurant" food court awaits. There are a few of these supermarkets in the north Bergen and Edgewater areas, but this is one of my favorites. The store starts with a produce department that is nothing short of amazing; there are many Asian and American varieties of fruits and vegetables at really amazing prices with a freshness that is unmatched. Onward you see the meat department, premium quality cuts of packaged chicken, beef, pork, lamb, a case full of different tofu varieties, and then there's a section of marinated meats for Korean BBQ for an amazing make at home meal protein base, and further in there's the fish department which has more things that move about in the sea than you can probably name off the top of your head: fresh and frozen, cut to order and live! There are several options for take home meals pre prepared for the non Korean or lazy Korean shoppers, and a dizzying array of Kimchi varieties from huge uncut bags to specialty small jars. The food court is beyond the fish department, Kimchi department (yea there is one!) There's approximately 6 different food court style storefronts and ONE main cashier at the front, ordering happens there, its confusing at first glance but easy once you know. The variety and quality are fantastic. There's another hot food bar for take home dishes, and many different side dishes to choose from. Past that there is a kitchen gadget supply in the corner that to me is a real stand out: super useful items like thermoses, bbq grill setups (small cheap Korean style), flatware, utensils, storage, even health care items. The inner aisles are filled with a plethora of amazing Korean and Asian groceries, teas, oils and sauces, even a pastry area. This place rocks. I love HMart! read more

I wanted to buy my friend some Asian items, so I stuck to the non-perishables part of the store, but I still walked around the entire store and they have a great selection. I got some candy, tea, a bowl, and some facial masks, and it was all really responsibly priced. My friend said the tea was "like crack" it was so addicting (which I interpreted as a good thing) I went in the middle of the day, and there was plenty of parking, but I could see it being competitive at points. The line also moved very quickly. Luckily it is at a light, so if you need to make a left in or out, that won't be a problem. There are a bunch of other stores in this building (so I'm not sure if they are all Hmart or just the grocery store is) but if you are coming by to grocery shop or just browse/regular shop, there's good stuff for both. If I compare this to Mitsuwa Marketplace in Edgewater, this place seems smaller but still of a decent size and good for what is needed. I look forward to going back. read more
