Hot Spicy Fried Chicken
Susan V.

This grocery store sells the same kind of Korean products as H Mart but its bigger than the H Marts in the area. There's an upstairs area that sells fried chicken and other types of korean food (bibimbap, tteokboki etc). We ordered the Hot Spicy Fried Chicken (7-8 pcs) and it was sooo good! It tasted sweet & spicy, the sauce is so flavourful! They fry the chicken fresh (or maybe they re-fry it again) so it takes about 15min. I will definitely come back to try the other flavours! Edit: I came back a second time and ordered the same Hot Spicy Fried Chicken, its just as good as the first time!! We also ordered the Cheese Balls and they were really good too. Its a nice chewy deep fried ball filled with cream cheese. I wouldn't order it again because its $7 for 5 balls, very pricey imo. My friend ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice and I didn't like it mainly because it had a sour taste from the kimchi so it makes the rice taste like it's gone bad. The texture of the rice is very mushy. I wouldn't order this again.

M2M = Morning to Midnight A brand new Korean "convenience" store where you can pick up some grocery and some made to order or pre made food. Location is so convenient, located just North of Sheppard Subway Station. Selection might not be as big as H-mart or Galleria but good for pick up some necessarities (instant/frozen noodle or fresh veggie or milk) and you can also order from the food counters on the 2nd level for some rolls, pork bone soup or a sandwich if you need a quick bite. M2M is operated under H-Mart as their convenience stores, the first one in Canada with 2 others in Manhattan. There are also individual Melona ice cream bars and ice for sale! If you love Korean treats, it is a great pit stop to pick up something on the road here! They even have a washroom for customer too!

Pork donkatsu

For the takeout their focus is now only on the fried chicken and the more traditional Korean food is ignored. For the katsu the only option now is pork which was clearly pre-frozen and incredibly dry and hard. Can't recommend it at all anymore.

Good standard place for simple grocery and snack needs with good working hours. Nothing special about it though to make me go wow.
