Called on Friday, 10/10 - P and F closed until Tuesday, 10/14. Tried to work with LG technical support - impossible to do what they expected - have you unplugged the unit? How am I supposed to do that as a 66 year old woman - I cannot pull the unit out to unplug it and plug it back in?!?!?! Extremely frustrating!!! Heard from Haylee at P and F on Tuesday. She said that the extended warranty would not have covered what she believed to be a worn igniter switch. We scheduled an appointment to replace that part On Friday, 10/17. Technician arrived early and completed repair in a timely manner. He was very knowledgeable and answered our questions regarding the igniter switch and its replacement schedule. Appreciate the punctuality and professionalism of the P and F staff - still cannot comprehend that using an oven for its intended purpose - baking/roasting - wears out the very parts that should support those uses!!! My last gas range/oven lasted for 22 years - not 14 months!!! They didn't build it - I get that, but what a warped world we live in when appliances planned obsolesence kicks in at 14 months!!! After our dishwasher died a slow, lingering, ultimately smoky death, the mister wanted to get a…read morenicer, quieter replacement. After picking out the one that best met his stringent requirements, he called around and found only a few places that carried it, and only one that did their own installation: Central Appliance. He purchased and set up the delivery and installation appointment over the phone, and was in contact via email after Hurricane Sandy delayed the delivery. The delivery and installation went very smoothly, with one exception: a small rock got caught from our driveway in the bottom of the dishwasher while bringing it upstairs, and scratched our tile floor. The installer was very apologetic and said we should contact Central Appliance directly, which we did, and Merry (manager? Owner? Person in charge that had handled the entire transaction) had a tile company come out and fix it up promptly. All in all we were extremely satisfied--we never had to step foot outside!--and would recommend Central Appliance to anyone in the area looking for a trustworthy, experienced dealer. By the way, Merry told the mister that Central Appliance is the only authorized Bosch dealer in the area, and that the other company who said they "had a guy" to put in the dishwasher used CA as their contractor for Bosch repairs. So they appear to really be the experts.

I have a small outdated kitchen with little functionality. After a couple weeks I had an amazing kitchen design that not only made the most of my budget and space, but Allison tweaked things several times when I changed a sink and range size. Her attention to detail was excellent. I met Molly while working with Allison. She is like the Siri of appliances. She had a wealth of information at her fingertips and even scoped out some options for me. When the time came to look seriously at appliances it was a total waste of time to go big box stores where they couldn't even answer simple questions and told me nobody made 18" dishwashers. ‍ Molly spent over 2 hours pouring over details of ranges and fridges with me and worked out 3 packages to choose from. Additionally she looked at who had rebates and promos available. BEST offers everything from budget appliances, scratch and dent specials to very high end choices for the discerning customer. I always prefer to support local business and am pleased with my experiences. It's unfortunate that people are less likely to post positive experiences (and I've heard so many about this business) and mostly complainers run to post their experience. They would have never been in business so long in Rutland and Woodstock if they weren't doing things right.

Unfortunately, the washing machine has never worked. Their service people came out and misdiagnosed the issue repeatedly, ultimately instructing us to re-wire our outlets and install non-code compliant outlets. Bad advice, and that was ultimately proven to not be the issue. As we tried to fix the issue, the manufacturer's warranty lapsed. Reluctantly, we paid an additional $500 out of pocket (on a $1000 machine) for their service techs to come back out and install various other parts, but without ever fixing the machine. From day 1, the machine was a lemon. And to this day, the machine is not working. Best's sales staff's proposed resolution is to charge us full price for a new machine. Phone calls to management go unreturned. They give bad advice, don't stand behind their work, and clearly don't care about fixing issues for their customers. Needless to say, we've taken our business elsewhere and will never go back to Best for any reason. Do business here at your own risk. Zero stars.

I purchased a house in December 2025 that had appliances that were purchased from Best Appliance…read more The drawer in the GE Profile gas range below the oven is bent, which makes it unable to close evenly, and the freezer on the GE Profile refrigerator has been not holding temperature since the day I moved in. The builder told me to get in touch with the appliance store which I did and they have been telling me for over two months that they're going to order a new gasket for the freezer and that they have ordered a replacement drawer for the gas range. Today I called to get an update and I find out from one of the managers that they don't intend to do any of that... so they were just stringing me along for a couple of months! The manager says now he's going to call GE appliance repair and give them my information and that's how they're going to take care of it. Therefore, I would not recommend buying an appliance from this store because they will not always tell you the truth and string you along for a couple of months if something's not working just right and basically wash their hands of the appliance once it goes out the door. The manager said when they delivered the appliances, they were in perfect condition and what happened to them between that point and when I bought the house is not his problem.
