I called Yavapai Plumbing and Heating (now Ace). John came out asap and told us we needed a new main line to house and also to contact for blue stake services. I did that and had them out within an hour. The next morning John and Daniel brought in the Bobcat and got a new trench dug for new main line. The service was completed in 2 days, but water leak was remedied on day one. John and Daniel went above and beyond in cleaning up the site so you would not even see that there had been a trench and rocks moved. Excellent job and a lot of care taken of property. Knowledgeable and dependable. I have been with Yavapai Plumbing and Heating for about 40 years and have been happy with them. Thank you John and Daniel! John also advised me that I could apply for an adjustment on the water bill with the town and I did. They approved it and credited the account for the water lost in the leak. Great to deal with.

1 Star - Misleading, Overpriced, and Threatened Us With a Lien…read more We had one of the worst service experiences we've ever had with a home contractor, and homeowners should be aware of how this company operates. We called Ace Plumbing to inspect an ejector pump. On the initial call, we were told that the $1,000 diagnostic fee would include pulling the pump, cleaning it, attempting to run it, reinstalling it, and determining whether it could be salvaged. We were also told that if the pump needed replacement, the $1,000 would be applied toward a quoted replacement cost of about $2,500. Based on that understanding, we agreed to the service and signed off on the estimate. Once the technicians arrived, everything changed. They pulled the pump but did not clean it, did not test it properly, and never reinstalled it. Instead, they immediately shifted into a hard-sell pitch and claimed this was a "specialty pump" and now the replacement would cost over $9,000 -- more than triple the original estimate they told us over the phone. They also told us that we "could not" install any other brand of pump without replacing the entire basin, which turned out to be completely false. We brought out another licensed plumbing company who confirmed the basin was fine and is replacing the pump for less than half the price Ace quoted, with no need for a new basin. When we explained that the $1,000 diagnostic was not performed as promised, Ace refused to negotiate. We offered to pay $500 for the time they were onsite -- more than fair given how little they actually did -- and they responded by threatening to file a lien on our property. And they did. We were shocked by how misleading, aggressive, and unprofessional this experience was. They changed pricing mid-process, contradicted what was promised on the original call, didn't perform the diagnostic they charged for, and then escalated straight to a lien instead of attempting any reasonable resolution. Homeowners deserve honesty, transparency, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Ace Plumbing or their management. We strongly recommend getting multiple quotes and verifying every claim they make before agreeing to anything.

HONESTY what a concept! The Alcorn quote "for the same service as other companies" came in THOUSANDS cheaper for a water filtration system. Not only was the Alcorn quote less expensive, when they completed the install we paid $200 less than the original quote.

Kevin, who claimed to be the owner of the store seemed amicable at first but quickly turned out to be very unprofessional. My contractor noticed a number of flaws in the installation of the water softener, which made it more likely that a leak will occur in the future as well as a number of other concerns which were highlighted in a written report of the work done to address Kevin's sub par installation of the water softener. My contractor was so concerned that he wondered if Kevin had a plumbing license and strongly advised me to report it to the ROC. I got a second opinion from my plumber and he agreed that the quality of installation was unacceptable for a company that charges a premium price. Given the severity of the costs I had to absorb in order to fix an already expensive purchase/installation, I can't in good faith trust this store to handle any more of my future water treatment needs.

My experience with the franchise staff here in Prescott Valley was excellent. They answered all my questions regarding the different options available to treat the water, including financing options. They returned my phone calls and we're very responsive. I also appreciated the military/veteran appreciation discount as this does help especially now with higher inflation. I did my own research comparing Culligan to another water treatment company that is available and recommended by Costco. The prices were pretty comparable between the two brands. I chose Culligan because this franchise is located here in Central Arizona, the staff was very responsive to my needs, the price was reasonable. Everything seemed to fit perfectly in the research, sales and installation of our water softener system. I highly recommend this system as it will reduce wear on your plumbing, and appliances. I noticed a big difference in the feeling of water and I'm sure I will have many years of good water quality with this company.
