I found this hotel last minute and because of the awesome location of Grandview I canceled the reservation i had somewhere else. I am so glad i made this choice! The room was very spacious, offering a refrigerator and microwave. The little touches like providing bottles of water, Q tips and toothbrushes made a huge difference as well. The room itself was unsullied in cleanliness and the bed was surely comfortable. The patio is peaceful at night if you care to sit out on it. The TV was huge with DirectTV, but i never really watched it to be honest. The Location of this hotel is pure gold. Steps from the beach, not a mile. It is at a fraction of the cost of it's neighbor and offers free parking for (1) vehicle in the garage. Everything is incredibly easy to get to from this hotel and was the saving grace of our vacation.

Absolutely beautiful hotel for the price. Great staff and incredible location. Room was incredibly clean and surprisingly big. Also huge 65 inch tv in even the most basic room. 10/10. I will be coming back here for business and personal travel.

Very basic. Room isn't very "cozy" bed was alright comfort-wise. Parking in garage underneath but fills up. The elevator is scary and the cleaning product smell throughout the first floor is so strong... I think they are using concentrated cleaner and forgot to dilute it. It's in a good location for walking to shops and restaurants. If you want to drive then plan on 30 mins to go only a few miles.. literally. The view from the balcony was better than I thought I'd get for the price. There is not much privacy between balconies or even surrounding homes. I could see into the neighbors home. We could probably hold hands.

I found myself in Los Angeles working for a week I didn't want to stay near LAX. I wanted to see the beauty of the beach and be able to explore LA. I have historically stayed at larger hotels in the past. You know it's important to earn points. Upon checking in I was greeted by the owner. I had arrived several hours early to check in. He made my check in extremely easy. He took my bags and had them in my room once I came back from my meeting. When I walked in to the room I was beside myself The minute you walk in you feel safe. They have numerous cameras in the garage and outside the building. The fresh clean smell of the hotel was pleasant and not overwhelming. The room was like something you would expected at a five star hotel in New York. I was and still am extremely impressed with the hotel. Your seconds from the beach, fine dining, shopping and entertainment. My room was large and had everything I needed and more. The view to the beach are amazing! The price was extremely affordable. I'm still kinda stoked because I have paid more in the past for so much less. After staying here I am a firm believer of supporting a small businesses and forget about points. Trust me you will not be disappointed when booking your room. The next time I leave the mountains of East Tennessee for California , I'll only stay at the Grandview Inn. Thank you for making my stay one I'll remember for awhile Shine on!!

Great Hotel with excellent service, Krishan was a pleasure to deal with. The rooms look exactly like the website pics, clean, nicely decorated, roomy and affordably priced for the area. Easy parking is another bonus! Literally a few steps from the beach and Hermosa Beach Pier. Tons of food choices and shopping within walking distance and Starbucks just around the corner as well. We visit Hermosa Beach once a year and Grandview Inn is our new go to Hotel!

The front desk staff, who I assume might also be the owners, are a hoot. They are very kind, fun, accommodating and helpful. My husband always comes with a million questions and called them three times before we booked our stay with questions. They never got annoyed and were happy to answer all his questions. The room almost looks more like an apartment studio which was super cool. Very clean and COVID safe. It's right next to the beach and you can easily see the ocean if you get a top floor room. All rooms have a balcony as well. The parking garage is convenient and safe if you're driving. We will be staying here again when we come back to Cali.

Special thank you to Aliyah for making my birthday weekend helpful, and being able to accommodate an early check in. I'll definitely be back again and highly recommend this spot.

**Good Night, Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite**…read more Since 2020, The Beach House in Hermosa Beach has been my preferred staycation destination. Although the front desk staff often made me feel more tolerated than celebrated, the stunning views kept me coming back and with no room service available, my interactions with the staff were limited to check-in and check-out, allowing me to enjoy my visits in peace. After my mother passed away in July 2025, I chose this hotel to help me cope during my first birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas without her. The beach has always served as my sanctuary. However, during my last stay in December 2025, I unknowingly left with an unwanted holiday gift: BED BUGS. That's right BED BUGS AT THE BEACH HOUSE, HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA! Throughout 2025, The Beach House was my only travel destination. In January 2026, I began to notice itching, and by February, I was experiencing severe reactions without understanding the cause. One night around 3 a.m., I spotted a bug crawling on my pillow. After killing it, taking a pic and asking Google to identify, I discovered it was a bed bug. Having lived in my home for over 50 years without any bed bug issues, I was shocked. I immediately contacted an exterminator, who confirmed the presence of bed bugs, likely brought in during my December visit. Given that my only travel in the past year was to The Beach House, I knew where they originated. Fortunately, I caught the problem early, but it still cost me $2,000 to eradicate them before they became an infestation. I stayed on the 3rd Floor in an Ocean Front Suite I guess you can say I got more than I bargained for. SHAME ON Beach House Hotel Hermosa Beach for not maintaining a higher standard of care to protect guests from BED BUGS!

The area has several boating clubs, a few seafood restaurants, hotels and event venues, and some small bars. It is definitely a quiet area that closes up early in the evenings. The hotel itself is really very lovely, though I wouldn't call it fancy. I will start by mentioning a few things that I didn't like. First, it is really too expensive. Likely it was more expensive than usual, as we booked late and they only had suites left. Also, I didn't like that the hotel restaurant and room service stop serving food at 10. Even after the wedding, when several people tried to go to the bar, around 10:30 on a Saturday, they stopped serving drinks. Further, we arrived to check into the hotel around 10PM on Friday night and were informed that all of the restaurants in the area were closing, so we had to drive to the next town over for dinner. I guess the area this hotel is located in is a bit too quiet for my taste. I also didn't like the $49 per night valet parking, with zero self-parking. Now, on a positive note, I enjoyed the welcome drinks, which were two mini strawberry daqueries... they were actually not too sweet and quite stiff. The staff was super friendly. They were always available and tried to be helpful. Whenever we went to the lobby they would give us bottled water. In the restaurant bar, they gave us free coffee and Diet Coke to take to our room. Our room wasn't overly impressive for a suite, but it was still very pretty. I loved having a view right on the harbor walkway. It was nice to walk out of the hotel and be right on the harbor. The balcony was a lovely place to sit with coffee. They also have an outdoor bathtub right on the patio. I love when beach hotels have outdoor tubs and showers. The room was comfortable with plenty of outlets and digital color-changing lighting. It was very clean and modern. All in all, I think the hotel was more expensive than we would choose had it not been for a wedding. However, I really did enjoy my stay. It was a friendly hotel with nice views and a bit of a resort vibe.

I drove my car and had asked about parking right before we arrived. I had called and talked to the front desk manager and asked about a vase for flowers which he didn't have. I asked him if he had this a regular glass there and he said yes. The day before I arrived and because this was booked by my girlfriend's son, I didn't know the sleeping arrangements saying we needed it two beds. I called and got voicemail the day before and someone called me back about a couple hours later. I asked if there were two beds in the room and he said no there's a bed and then there is a fold out sofa. I said oh great I will take the fold out sofa and let my girlfriend take the bed. When I arrived at the hotel with my car, I didn't know where I was parking and it wasn't. The hotel is on the beach, but it's also in a very crowded area. I went in and spoke with the front desk guy. He said his name was Chris. He hurriedly explained how I could get to the parking spot and that was CF because of the instructions he gave me. After finding the parking garage, we did receive help from Chris to unload our luggage. My girlfriend is much older and I didn't allow her to carry anything so it was just me and him. We proceeded into the hotel and after we were in there... Yes, the room seemed nice and a little standard for a boutique. I immediately heard people on the floor right above us walking back-and-forth and there was no way that that was going to work out because she had traveled all the way from Denver for this and we had traveled from North Hollywood down to Hermosa Beach and.just a lot of travel, which made us weary When I asked about getting another room, which I knew it was full because it's pretty small Hotel he said he had put us on the first floor because he thought that we would not be able to climb the stairs to get to the second floor. I told him we're both able, and even though my girlfriend is older she is limber enough to climb stairs. I think he saw the concern on my face that we might leave because we hadn't unpacked anything so he did ask the people who had moved in to the top floor to switch with us. It was nice of them and they said yes we will switch. As we were getting ready for eating our food which we ordered in, I noticed there was only one wine glass and one fork. One spoon. So we managed through it for eating. As we got ready for bed, I unfolded the sofa bed and there was a huge urine stain on the mattress and now I had to find sheets. I could not find them anywhere and called the number to get help. Chris then texted me and said "I've I received many calls from you today. If it is not urgent, you could just text me and ask me. There's no need for you to call me repeatedly" Now he was inferring that I could not call him so to speak. he texted me to let me know where the sheets were. I had called him the day before and talked with him that I would be using that fold out bet. I think it was his job to point out where the sheets were when we moved into the room. I feel that because we were senior citizens we were disregarded! I asked him on text "is this how you treat senior citizens "? And I told him that I am a customer here that has paid for the room already. The next morning, the Keurig coffee maker did not work and there were only two coffee pods for both of us. Not enough I ended up at the market trying to get coffee for both of us. I didn't bother calling him about the coffee maker. I was already just too disgusted with his attitude towards. when we checked out, he was nowhere to be found.

Linens are crisp and clean. For a king size bed room, you only get two face cloths, two large towels, and two hand towels. In-room "Dove" products are nice.
