Another visit, still among the best pho places I've eaten at. Service is friendly and quick, restaurant is clean and inviting. The pho broth is rich and hearty. The add ins - brisket, meatball, tripe - are fantastic. Also tried wonton soup and fried dumplings. The wontons are bite-sized. At first this was off-putting until you realize that the big wontons are a pain to cut in half or try to slurp off the spoon. Bite sized is the way to go. Fried dumplings are excellent. This spot is close to my jobsite and i was craving pho. Clean, big dining room and they welcomed me right away. I got the #1 Pho, all kinda crazy meat & a Thai tea- $20. Avoid this place at all cost . This took almost 1 hour for a pork chop dish and sampler appetizer. Most competent Vietnamese restaurants would take 15-20 minutes at most . Stopped by after visiting Florida botanical gardens figured we would get our toddler something healthier to eat besides fast food. One of our favorite Pho places to eat. We come here a lot, maybe too much. lol! I get the flank steak and beef pho, soooo good. My husband always gets the combo Pho (warning it has tripe in it), he loves it. We also love the pork dumplings, pork pot stickers and I love their spring rolls (Vietnamese style). However the pork dumplings are a little bigger than we are used to. It's in a strip mall, but when food is this good who cares. Oh we have never tried it, but the other customers rave about their Boba drinks too. When in the mood stop in! Also great for those one or two days of cold weather get here in Florida! read more

For entrées, we ordered the B1-The Spot Special rice vermicelli bowl and the SP7-Combination Crispy Pan-Fried Noodles (pork, shrimp, chicken and beef). Both dishes were great and a ton of food. I left a great review several weeks ago. Great and fresh food every time we have gotten takeout. But.......we bought the combo rice a couple of weeks ago and it was super oily and the amount of meat was drastically different. They also left out the shrimp! This rice dish is something we always ordered and looked forward to but this last time it was a major disappointment. I hope that this won't be the new norm. If it is then we will not be coming back. I also hope that owners or management see this post because there are 4 adults that order from my home. That's a lot of lost business. read more

I really enjoyed my visit here. It was very clean & upbeat. The waitress was very friendly & attentive. The food was great! The shrimp fried rice was the best I've had out this way. When I say that I mean it. Because I eat Thai a lot out here. It's the only thing my daughter eats when I do. So trust me when I saw it's very good. The food at the resturant was good and a very good amount. The ambiance was good. The Service was terrible and the main reason I am writting this review as the service waiter was being short when asked if he could provide extra sauce he was short and rude (He did bring two countainers which was nice). he then was refilling our drinks and was being too fast with it and had some drop on one of my friend. he didnt notice as he headed off. we didnt want to cause a scene so we cleaned it up as we thought he was busy. when we processed payment he watched as people put tip in and when givin a tip he did not like started being more rude. then he made a scene stating I work for tip. when I brought the situation to the manager she stated that he works for tips and that its our fault ... this is not service nor accountability. I understand days our rough and customers are not always right but creating a scene and being rude in customer service is not acceptable behavior for a buisness. read more

My go to for Thai! First let's just compliment this staff! I have never come in a place that does such an exceptional job with hiring! The pick up is as good as the way in, fast, fresh and perfection. I may be Caucasian but Pho is my cold remedy every time! This is beautifully flavored and homemade and extremely tasty! This was a pleasant experience. I ordered Pho Dac Biet. The broth was tasty and the noodles were perfect. The meat? Most of it was good but some was fatty foods for my taste. That was okay though. I just ate around it and enjoyed every bite. This restaurant is located in the Largo Mall. My friend said she often buys the pho for her kids if she gets out of work late and that she likes it. Took her word because I know she makes a huge pot 2-3 times a year at home. This and the fact that the reviews were high on Yelp encouraged me to stop in today. Very good. TOO MUCH time has past since I had my WONDERFUL dinner here at this hidden gem on the backside of a busy shopping center on the main street near my hotel where I stayed during my trip down to the Clearwater area, but I want to give this place HUGE praise, before too much more time flies by!! If you're in the Largo/Clearwater area and are looking for something other than the standard (but perfectly acceptable) "beach fare," THIS is where you need to go!! Two restaurants in one, go for a sit down meal from their EXTENSIVE Asian fare menu (lots of great Vietnamese/Pan-Asian choices!!) or have a quick, fresh, AWESOME sushi burrito (sort of like an extra FAT sushi roll, full of all your favorite sushi choices) from "The Spot," which is what I chose. The toughest part was deciding what to order... EVERYTHING sounded wonderful, and I wanted to try it all!! It's easy to miss places like this if you're on vacation, but I recommend getting off the "tourist strip" every now and then to check out some great local "hot spots," and if you live in the area, DEFINITELY check this place out!! I didn't complain I take it home and after finishing my drink I found this at the bottom. I am so disgusted. Won't be going back. Got a burrito too, not sealed. Super messy and not what I wanted. Pretty Good We've been here for to-go orders in the past. I have lower expectations for to-go since the food is never as hot and fresh as at the restaurant. This time we ate in the restaurant. The restaurant is clean and bright and the service is good. We started with the Bao Bun sampler which was delicious. We moved on to the appetizer sampler. The chicken wings and spring rolls were pretty good. The shrimp and Crab Rangoon were only OK and I wouldn't get them again. Moving on, the Spot Special Banh Mi was very good. The Eye Round Pho was only OK and had a thin flavor. The Chicken Stir Fry with Vegetables was pretty good with a nice flavor, but the chicken had an overly-tenderized and spongy consistency. So, it was hit and miss. I would go back for the Bao Buns and the Banh Mi. read more

Ordered crab Rangoon, pot stickers- both delicious. I ordered pork pad Thai, good but really heavy sauce. Vietnamese sandwich was good just not cut through so it was a little hard to eat. Spicy beef noodles were good, a lot of fat and cartilage to take out but broth was excellent. Boba is prepackaged but good. Great little fast food place, busy and service is quick. Picked up Bánh Mì, egg rolls, and a boba tea takeout for lunch today and Ha Long Bay did not disappoint. The food was well packaged and traveled well. The egg rolls maintained their crispiness and had a great flavor. The spot special sandwich was filled with so much flavor. The roasted pork was probably one of the best bites, especially when you add in some pickled carrot and cilantro to it. The baguette was fresh and made a perfect vessel for all of this yumminess. Don't let the name fool you. They have so much more than the sushi burritos, which are awesome by the way. They have a huge menu in their sit down section full of great options. The Spot Special vermicelli rice noodles is so damn good! The lo mein is incredible as well. I have yet to try something I don't like here. Do yourself a favor if you haven't tried other menu items and do so! You won't be disappointed. For COVID I have never seen anyone not wearing a mask and staff cleans each table when someone leaves. I live in Indiana but discovered this restaurant while vacationing near St. Pete 3 years ago. Last week was my third consecutive year visiting the area and I ended up going to The Spot THREE times within 7 days but could've gone more. On my first visit last week, I had a sushi (salmon) burrito with poke sauce, spicy mayo, cucumber, avocado and extra masago. They don't skimp on their portions which I appreciate (I can throw back a hefty amount of sushi despite my size) and every ingredient was very fresh and delicious. If the burrito alone wasn't enough to put me in food heaven, they put a cherry on top with the little bag of shrimp chips that come with each meal. Visit #2 of last week: I got the grilled pork sandwich...so so good! Their sandwiches come with butter mayo, pate spread, cucumber, cilantro, pickled carrot, daikon, and jalapeño. The bun reminded me of a French baguette and was great! Whatever sauce or marinade they use on the pork is outstanding. I ate it so fast, I felt like a human vacuum. Wish I had taken a pic but like I just said, it vanished too quickly. Visit #3: I got the exact salmon burrito from visit 1 AND pork sandwich from visit 2... I'd sell my own pinky toe in exchange for the owners to move this restaurant up to Indiana... TRY THIS PLACE OUT, you won't regret it!! read more

We ordered The Spot Pho - a great mix of beef from flank to meatballs. The broth was super flavorful and it was served with the traditional sides of sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeño. Excited to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. We also ordered Chicken Pad Thai. It was a generous serving, sweet to taste. Definitely what you would expect from traditional Pad Thai - minus any spice. The California roll was average but still delicious. My daughter finished off her meal with a Mango Boba tea. Great service from Leigh!! I told her we were going to the movies in 50 mins and she was quick to get our order out. Plus she was quick to offer to let me pay before we were done so we could leave as soon as we were done. She was delightful and provided great service! My daughter had chicken fried rice and love it. I had beef pho. It was good but not the best that I've had. They have a sushi spot and it's getting lots of great reviews on their sushi burritos. If you love sushi heck them out.
