That is rare for a restaurant as busy as this one. I started with #5 Goi Cuom Tom ($5.90 for 2 pieces). Rice paper wrapped shrimp spring rolls with a tasty peanut dipping sauce. Each roll had 4 medium sized shrimp inside. Then I ordered #69 Hu Tieu Xao Hai San ($16.90) seafood stir fry entree. Chock full of large seafood chunks plus tofu squares. I haven't been to Thinh A Kitchen for a long time. It used to be one of my must-visit places whenever I was in Tampa, so I was excited to come back for an early dinner. The pho and Vietnamese vermicelli were still decent and enjoyable. However, I was quite disappointed with the tofu pudding and desserts. They did not meet my expectations, and unfortunately, we ended up throwing about $75 of dessert away after trying them. I hope the restaurant can improve the dessert quality, as the main dishes still have potential. Future Christina, this is what the kids like. They have a kids menu and on it there's chicken nuggets and french fries! We were shocked, but this saved us with one son. The other absolutely demolished his steamed rice with grilled chicken, which was surprising. He also really liked the eggroll. I got an avocado smoothie and the shortrib dish, which is always a favorite. My husband got the chicken teriyaki skewers and added more skewers. They came and they were huge. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I also tried the banh Xeo (Vietnamese shrimp and pork belly crispy pancake). It was delicious! The pancake was cooked perfectly and the flavor was very yummy. It came out with a lot of veggies on the side. I don't have any complaints about this one at all! I definitely loved it and it's really hard to find someone to make this good. For my drink, I got a strawberry slushie. It wasn't bad, but I probably wouldn't get it again the next time I come. I had a pretty good experience here in all, and will definitely come back the next time I'm in the area. I recently was recommended Thinh An by a friend, and now I see why. This place is an absolute machine for Vietnamese food! They have so so so much to offer on the menu, plus a hot bar for lunch, plus baked goods, plus a refrigerated section for deserts and other items. Looking to try something different than our usuals, we ended up ordering the Banh Xeo and Banh Hoi. When the plates arrived, we were surprised by how enormous they were - there was more than enough food for one person. It was refreshing to see the amount of fresh greens that accompanied these plates. The dishes had good flavor and did their job at satiating our Vietnamese food cravings. After consuming our meals, we walked over to their "market" area where they had locally baked and made goods - from sweet deserts to savory appetizers. We ended up scooping up some premade Chè Ba Màu and a quart of tofu pudding with ginger to go. Definitely a neat market if you want something quick, fresh, and delicious. They served fried Tofu and Hot and Cold Tofu. In the early morning, hot or warm Tofu are scoop up in a bowl served with honey. This is one of favorite street food in many Asia countries. We got in too late and missed the hot/warm Tofu. We order two phos (Pho Tai and Bun MQC) and two vermicelli bun. The phos were well prepared. I have Bun MQC, a vermicelli noodle soup with spare ribs, mushroom meatballs and Vietnamese ham. The scallion, onion, cilantro, bean sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeno made this a wonderful meal! They definitely are all about turnover as we felt them pressuring us to leave once we finished our bowl of pho.
