With salad but barely filled half way in the half-sized to-go box, for $18. Came with a side of "pita bread" but it's actually pieces of flour tortilla... what?? Biggest complaint is the wait. With only 2 people ahead of me, having to wait over 30 minutes for my food. I see only 2 guys working in the kitchen and one of them is the cashier, ON A LUNCH HOUR. We arrived around probably 5:30pm on a Sunday evening and ordered on the kiosk, and it didn't take long at all for us to get our food - I'd say probably 10-15 minutes. The store was fairly empty. We got the chicken shawarma plate and the chicken shawarma wrap and we were both very satisfied. The baba ganoush I included with one of my sides for the plate was really good as well, and the fries my boyfriend got were also delicious and crispy. Service is also amazing and they checked up on us. The store had a very warm and inviting atmosphere as well, which makes it a nice to place to dine in. I was a little disappointed this time because I ordered sweet potatoes, and it didn't come with my order. I guess I was a little peeved that it took so long since I was the only customer, but I should have checked the entire order before leaving. The guy who handed it to me even tried to double-check, but sigh. I also didn't get the right sides because I only got hummus and not tabouli, too. Sad story because I remember it tasting pretty good the first two times, but it was closer to their opening. The pita bread tasted like plastic, and it smelled very strange. That weird aftertaste kind of permeated through the rest of the dish. However, the beef was very tasty by itself. I also had an issue ordering online with Grubhub for pickup before, so I had to go in-store to order. The rice is different than what I am used to as it is yellow and seasoned. It was not bad, just different. Fattoush and Hummus are pretty standard anywhere you go, and these fall right in line with the rest of them. The menu is bigger than I am used to at these kinds of restaurants which in intrigues me to try other menu items. Restaurant: There is plenty of parking and seating at Habibi Grill. It is located in a large shopping center, which means a large parking lot. You should have zero issues finding a spot. Inside there is plenty of tables! Notes: Habibi Grill prides itself in serving Zabiha (hand slaughtered halal meats). I also got the hummus and tabouleh, which they said they make to order instead of making it in advance and letting it sit. Clean and tidy space - huge plus. The family that owns the place are welcoming and patient. They took the time to explain the dishes we were thinking about. They gave us a plate of stuffed date leaves (highly recommend!) and also offered to give us baklava. I got my kid the chicken nugget plate which I appreciate them offering, but you're getting Walmart nuggets for $9. From ordering to taking out we spent 40 minutes, for 3 plates, one of which was frozen nuggets. My DoorDash driver waited a good 20 minutes for my order. Maybe calling ahead to pickup would help? I have yet to try their mint lemonade, it was sold out both times. They are the nicest people and their food is good. But the wait time makes me think twice before coming again. read more
