We have tried the Gyro wrap, Gyro Platter, The Works Platter and Chicken Shawarma Platter twice each now to be sure of consistency. HOWEVER, this most recent order did leave us questioning couple things. Chicken Shawarma was dry this time and seems to have shrunk in quantity AND the pieces were VERY chopped up so didn't really get a good bite. Not much sauce/flavoring either. Compared to our first time ordering this... super disappointed. Not sure if we will order this again because of quality/quantity control. The Works... the size of the grape leaves seemed to have shrunk in half?? Not anything close to what we got the last time ordering this combo platter. Taste was great but it went from "busting out the seems fully wrapped" to "single bite size". Also, they missed the yogurt that comes along with each platter. Last time they missed some add-on sauces we paid extra for also. We even called to ask they double check the sauces because we didn't receive the correct items last time. I really like The Green Olive's Salmon Kebab Plate. The salmon is grilled to perfection and all the veggies (yellow and green zucchini, red onions, red bell peppers) are so delicious. The plate is served with homage hummus, rice, house salad, pita bread, and their famous green sauce. I usually order a side of garlic cup and an extra chicken skewer on the side. The Chicken Kebab Wrap is also very delicious. They provide catering: $15 per person for a choice of 2 meat and $17 per person for a choice of 3 meat. Additional cost per person for shrimp or salmon. My hands down favorite Mediterranean restaurant! Their food is always so fresh and delicious. My favorite things to get here are the steak kabobs and their green spicy potatoes. Good mediterranean food can be hard to find, so, when visiting California, I'd definitely recommend stopping by this place. Located in an industrial strip mall this small but quaint restaurant is tucked away amongst other businesses, and with no signage above the doors it can easily be missed. I ordered the salmon kebab with grilled vegetables instead of rice. Chunks of salmon squares served on skewers and separated by grilled vegetables was a visual masterpiece. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing as did the grilled vegetables. The dish was served along side hummus, a side salad and pita bread. I did find the pita bread a little more crisper and flaker than I'm accustomed to and it did lack a bit of flavor. With that said, I throughly enjoyed my meal. Kudos, to the entire staff. First off....I didn't even know this place was here. We live in Whittier and would drive all the time to the Downey location. This SFS location is SUPERIOR!!! The food feels and tastes more authentic. Super fresh and never misses! Lucero is CRAZZZYYYYY NICE. I don't think I've ever met anyone so nice. Hard to find gem within an industrial complex. A tip to find this is its right across the rail tracks on Stage Rd. Small restaurant but very inviting to customers. A lot of customers come in to pick up their orders. They do not cook the food unless you order it. First time here my wife was looking for a Mediterranean restaurant that's close to the gym we just stepped out from. Cashier Anthony is so friendly and even suggested for us on what to order. My wife got order #1 beef kebab plate and I got the chicken kebab plate. Although suddenly my wife saw "the works plate" that looks really appetizing so we plan on getting that next time we come back here. The food came out well prepared and was served by Anthony who was also manning the register. The pita bread is nice and thin. We even got extra garlic sauce. Hummus came with a delicious olive oil and that was the one I had to try first and it was awesome. Chicken kebab was hot and moist on the inside. The salad that came with the food was tasteful with the sauce they mixed it with. I asked for more salad and less rice however the rice also tasted good. My wife had me try a slice of the beef kebab and it was also juicy and not dry. Kudos to the cook who cooked this fancy meal.
