We haven't eaten here in at least five years, so we were incredibly excited to give it another go. Naturally, prices have gone up--we've actually been around since this place's "birth," so watching a two-skewer combo skyrocket from $13 to $23 was a bit of a jump. Still, we fondly remembered their generous, delicious portions, so we placed an online order. ​The website didn't give a readiness time, but remembering that they used to prepare everything fresh and take their sweet time, I told my husband we should wait a bit before heading out. ​When I walked in, the employees were chatting and laughing, which was nice to see. Then I noticed a pile of takeout orders sitting on a shelf. Hungry as I was, I silently prayed none of them were ours; I utterly despise cold food. I gave my name to the cashier--who skipped the greeting entirely--and was told it wasn't ready yet. I said thanks and took a seat. ​While I was waiting, another customer asked about her order and was initially dismissed with a "no." After a second look, the cashier called her back: "Oh, this is yours. It's been ready." No apology, just a cold shoulder. The customer was understandably ticked off. ​The real plot twist, however, happened when I got home. Apparently, "two skewers" now translates to a grand total of five pieces of chicken. That is definitely not what it used to be. To make matters worse, my worst nightmare came true: the food was cold. I like this restaurant, but Cerritos was not my favorite location. We ordered the family style meal. It took a while to receive our food at the table. Food was ok. Most of the chicken was dry, the meat was hard to chew, the rice was colder than the meats and didn't taste as if it was cooked enough. It seems they rushed the food out. The avocado salad had avocados that were not ripe yet. The place itself is maintained cleaned with a vibrant aesthetic. Our waiter was kind and helpful. Finally doing this spot justice with a review because this is hands-down hubby and I's favorite Mediterranean place. We've been here a good five times and I'm finally writing a review--better late than never. Parking is easy and there's a decent amount of seating both inside and outside. Ambience-wise, it's your typical fast-casual, in-and-out vibe. Nothing fancy and not super pretty inside, but don't let that fool you. Once the food hits your tongue, it's game over. Hubby and I are creatures of habit and always order our usual plates. He gets the beef and lamb kebabs, and honestly the portion sizes are so generous that our plates are interchangeable every single visit. A must-have side is their Mediterranean salad--get the large so you can save some for leftovers the next day. For my plate, I always order the red cabbage, hummus, sumac onions, and of course the Mediterranean salad, and it is always absolutely delicious. For the entrée, I go with the chicken and beef shawarma. The meat is perfectly shredded and pairs so well with their fluffy rice, plus the generous amount of garlic and tahini sauce. The only downside I would say is the pita bread. I personally don't care for how dry it can be, but to be fair, the best pita bread I've ever had was in Athens, Greece, so it's very hard to compare when most pita breads here are premade. This is one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants. They have a whole page of sides to choose from. I had the Mediterranean salad and the Mediterranean potato salad with rice and chicken. I didn't specify chicken kebab and they gave me a different chicken and I didn't like it. It was my fault. They were nice enough to cook me chicken kebabs to replace the other ones. It was totally delicious. Everything here is so good. The people are really nice and they go out of their way to make sure that you're happy with your meal. Husband and I shared a large chicken kebab plate (3 skewers) with tabbouleh, hummus and half rice/half salad and wow, such a solid place for a solid price! Chicken was so juicy and the rice was way more flavorful than I thought! Salad though did not disappoint so I'd be torn between getting more rice or doing half salad again. This is a regular place for our friends who got lamb kebab plate and beef kebab plate On a side note...I docked a star cause of my confusion. The only items i didn't care for was the rice and the chicken tasted a bit dry. The steak and lamb was ok. As much as I want this place to be authentic I am having doubts, their portion is good and definitely on the pricey side for a take out place. I also feel their meat is too saucy and always drenched too much in humus or that tangy sauce which you can't take the grilling or charbroiled taste anymore. Back at Kabab Crush. Privately owned middle eastern restaurant. Tiny crowded place, tiny crowded Kitchen. Simple menu. Really good food. I was here a few weeks ago for some shawarma. I really liked it and i wrote a review about it. I am back this time for some Kabab. We were a party of 3. It is customary in the middle eastern culture to always share food with friends and family. So, i ordered a few things to share. To start with. I ordered a plate of hummus with beef. This dish is eaten with Pita Bread. The dish was good but it is disappointing that they only give you 1 pita bread. Which is hardly enough for half the size of the dish. So, more pita bread please. Then i ordered a Fatoush salad which is a traditional middle eastern salad. This one was made with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green bell pepper and topped with fried pita chips. The dressing is a lemony vinaigrette. I also ordered some skewers of chicken, beef and kafta kabab. The Kafta is ground beef mixed with parsley, onions and various spices and then grilled. Everything turned out really good and cooked just right. The service is friendly. I'll be back for sure. I definitely recommend Kabab Crush. read more

Love me some Mediterranean and this was a good stop! Portions are generous, staff was friendly and helpful, and flavors are mostly good. A plate is definitely shareable between two people (unless both people are famished). Ordered the veggie entree with hummus and beet salad and subbed out my pita for some dolmas (thanks for letting me do that!). The dolmas were a bit too oily for me and somewhat tart; they were not my favorite. The veggies were cooked well, the hummus was smooth, and the beet salad was super tasty (I would have also maybe added some nice spice/seasoning to it instead of what just felt like plain beets). Love this place! A quick Mediterranean spot that has good dishes. We always either order the chicken shawarma wrap, shawarma combo (a burrito with a side of fries), or a plate. All equally delicious! Each wrap has the perfect combination of veggies and garlic sauce. They don't skimp on the meat either! Myvrummy is satisfied with a wrap and most of the time, I have a little bit left over for later. They make everything as you order so it can take about 15-20 min to get your food, but it's worth it. Service is quick if you order there, I usually order about 10 min ahead and pick up. Seating is a bit cramped, and usually I see ppl sitting outside rather than in. Ordered the Lamb and Chicken Breast Kabobs entrees and a side of Falafel. Each entree comes with two sides of your choice. We chose the cucumber salad, baba ghanoush and tabbouleh. Perfectly fresh and healthy deliciousness. The chicken is still very tasty but the LAMB IS FIRE. Tender moist and flavorful. They have also improved their rice. It used to be OK but now it completely makes the plate sublime. I used to get this kind of food from my local Zankou Chicken but lately they have not been very consistent, but this place was Reffered to by a co-worker and I have to say it is currently our favorite go to at this time. My favorite is the chicken kababs, I normally don't order chicken breast because it's always very dry and not very flavorful but not here their chicken breast kabob is probably the best I've had.
