    Family style

I like this restaurant, but Cerritos was not my favorite location. We ordered the family style meal. It took a while to receive our food at the table. Food was ok. Most of the chicken was dry, the meat was hard to chew, the rice was colder than the meats and didn't taste as if it was cooked enough. It seems they rushed the food out. The avocado salad had avocados that were not ripe yet. The place itself is maintained cleaned with a vibrant aesthetic. Our waiter was kind and helpful. The three stars are more for the quality of the food. I would come to try eating here again despite the bad experience today with the food.

Kabab Crush delivers a satisfying and well-executed meal with their Beef Kabab Combo Plate. While it's a bit on the pricier side, the portion more than justifies the cost. The plate comes with three filet mignon skewers, each incredibly juicy, buttery, and tender--clearly cooked with care and quality ingredients. The rice is another highlight: deeply flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning, making it a perfect complement rather than an afterthought. The combo also includes pita and two sides; I chose the hummus and yogurt cucumber, which added a nice balance of richness and freshness to the meal. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, as the food does take some time, but it's evident everything is made fresh and to order--well worth the patience. Overall, a hearty, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared plate that earns a solid 5

Finally doing this spot justice with a review because this is hands-down hubby and I's favorite Mediterranean place. We've been here a good five times and I'm finally writing a review--better late than never. Parking is easy and there's a decent amount of seating both inside and outside. Ambience-wise, it's your typical fast-casual, in-and-out vibe. Nothing fancy and not super pretty inside, but don't let that fool you. Once the food hits your tongue, it's game over. Hubby and I are creatures of habit and always order our usual plates. He gets the beef and lamb kebabs, and honestly the portion sizes are so generous that our plates are interchangeable every single visit. A must-have side is their Mediterranean salad--get the large so you can save some for leftovers the next day. For my plate, I always order the red cabbage, hummus, sumac onions, and of course the Mediterranean salad, and it is always absolutely delicious. For the entrée, I go with the chicken and beef shawarma. The meat is perfectly shredded and pairs so well with their fluffy rice, plus the generous amount of garlic and tahini sauce. The only downside I would say is the pita bread. I personally don't care for how dry it can be, but to be fair, the best pita bread I've ever had was in Athens, Greece, so it's very hard to compare when most pita breads here are premade. Service is always fast and on point. This place is an absolute must-try if you're craving Mediterranean food. Happy eats!

This is one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants. They have a whole page of sides to choose from. I had the Mediterranean salad and the Mediterranean potato salad with rice and chicken. I didn't specify chicken kebab and they gave me a different chicken and I didn't like it. It was my fault. They were nice enough to cook me chicken kebabs to replace the other ones. It was totally delicious. Everything here is so good. The people are really nice and they go out of their way to make sure that you're happy with your meal. Thanks to everybody for fixing it for me so that I totally enjoyed every bite.

    Chicken shawarma box

Best shawarma place ever. I'm usually picky but I loved every single item I got. I got the small chicken shawarma box and I enjoyed every single atom in this box. The man that helped us was polite and the vicinity was calm. it's very fresh in here and nicely decorated.

Husband and I shared a large chicken kebab plate (3 skewers) with tabbouleh, hummus and half rice/half salad and wow, such a solid place for a solid price! Chicken was so juicy and the rice was way more flavorful than I thought! Salad though did not disappoint so I'd be torn between getting more rice or doing half salad again. This is a regular place for our friends who got lamb kebab plate and beef kebab plate On a side note...I docked a star cause of my confusion. It could be an issue of transparency, so if anyone can shed light on it, great. The total WITH tax came out to $74, which is what the worker sbut card got charged $76.22. When I asked about it, she said it's tax but the $74 already included tax so...?? Is it an additional card charge that I wasn't aware of?

Chicken Shawarma. Dry and chewy but flavor was good

Much better this time around. The chicken was not dry and was very flavorful. Fairly good portion but I think they could put more chicken in the shawarma plate. Overall, a great lunch spot that's filling and tasty.

Food was ok. I got the combo plate with chicken, lamb and steak. Added rice and hummus and onions. It was a busy saturday and almost all tables were taken. Thats a good sign that this place gets business. People are saying the portion sizes are smaller, but they look fine to me at a decent price. Overall a pretty good meal. The only items i didn't care for was the rice and the chicken tasted a bit dry. The steak and lamb was ok. It wasn't succulent or juicy like the steak\chicken i get from the kebob shop down the road and they have the better rice also. The garlic sauce tasted good. The service was great. Vivian at the front counter was very nice! =) Food rating: Combo Plate, chicken, lamb, steak 7.5\10 Out of all the nutella baklava i tasted this was good 8.0\10

I absolutely love the food here. We got the chicken shawarma plate with hummus and salad. The protein was very flavorful and seasoned well. I loved their garlic sauce & hummus, and the salad was so refreshing! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We came closer to closing and got our food after about 10 minutes. I would definitely come back to try all their other dishes!

this was delicious!!! we got the chicken, beef, and kefta skewers with the potato salad & everything on this plate was super flavorful and seasoned extra. I loved their garlic sauce & hummus, and overall would just come back to try this all again! the pistachio baklava felt buttery, but not super flaky. service was super sweet & we got our food after about 10ish minutes! it was still a little busy on a Monday night, but plenty of tables to sit at. great & chill date night place!

Food: 10/10 it was something new for me and the flavor of the chicken did not disappoint. The beef is good, but it's definitely different than other beef I've tried. I ended up giving it to my bf. The Mediterranean salad was really good! The potato salad had an acquired taste, and so I didn't eat it. I can see why others like it. Service: the cashier didn't greet us, but he was just waiting there for us to order. When we took a min to look at the menu, he finally asked what he could get us. He was nice after, though and was able to provide us with suggestions. Amabiance: it's a random hole in the wall type place. It's small, but it has outdoor seating as well. I would recommend ordering ahead because we waited about 15 mins maybe more for our food.

Stopped by for lunch yesterday. You order at the counter and they call your number when your order is ready. There is a small dining area indoors and seating outdoors as well. We decided to eat indoors. Place was clean and seating was spaced out well. I ordered the beef shawerma comes with pita and rice and I selected hummus and Mediterranean salad as my 2 sides . The meat was very tasty and was even more delicious dipped into the white garlicy sauce it came with. All staff were friendly and efficient. Didn't have to wait long for food after ordering .

    Franky G.

Chicken shawerma taste wise was ok. My chicken was very cold and it wasn't wrapped right. Took forever for my wrap and the people in the kitchen were laughing and loud. I won't be coming back.

That's not all, tip will also be requested when checking out. Our Visit: My family and I have visited Elena's before and had a good experience, which is why this visit was so disappointing. This time, we noticed a clear drop in food quality, portion sizes, overall service and an unexpected new surprise on the bill. I came in with my wife, our two young children (10month old and 2 year old), and my mom. Unfortunately, the pita bread was stale, a portion of my wife's chicken was undercooked, the portions were noticeably smaller than before, and the server completely forgot my mom's drink. Those issues alone were frustrating, but what really stood out were the added fees at the end, fees that were not charged in the past. We were charged a 20% "large party fee", along with an additional "service fee". When I spoke with the owner, he explained that their system automatically applies a large party charge to any group of 4 or more people, including babies who don't even order food. That threshold seems unusually low, especially since most places consider 6 or more a "large party" and from my experience typically don't consider babies 2 years and younger as occupants. Even more concerning, none of these fees were clearly communicated to us beforehand. Being surprised with multiple charges at the end of a meal feels misleading and leaves a bad impression. To add to that, after already including these fees, the payment process still prompts customers to leave an additional tip. I've only seen this type of fee structure at higher-end restaurants and for more people, not at a casual spot like this, and even then it's usually disclosed upfront. If a business is going to charge extra, the service and overall experience should reflect that. My recommendation for Elena's, if you want to make more money, just raise your food prices so your customers at least know how much they're going to spend at the end. Not slap surprise charges at the end and force your customers to pay. On a positive note, at least they were playing Fast and the Furious on their TV. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL. Please be aware of their shady business practices.

The foul (bean dish) was delicious, and when we asked if they could add a little extra to it, they were happy to accommodate us. The service was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. And don't skip dessert--the baklava is some of the best we've ever had. I understand they've recently changed how they make it, and the result is outstanding. We ordered: * Hummus of course - which was delicious * Babaganouj - which was creamy and extremely dippicle [sic] * Beef Kafta Kebab - just lovely * Taboulah Salad - that was excellent * Fool or Ful depending on what Mideast country - was deepened with fava beans * Alamaza Lebanese beer that paired perfectly with our dinner. The staff here were friendly, helpful and accommodating. I've been gone from Los Angeles close to five years now, and every time I come back, I get a nice surprise like I did at Sunnin.
