We went to this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. We started out with a complementary bread basket with pita bread, and some kind of dip Next, we had Kibbi appetizer They were a little dry. Next, we had one lamb Shawarma wrap and one beef Shawarma wrap. Both sandwiches came with french fries. The wraps were very full of meat and came with pickles and vegetables and sauce. You can't go wrong with a visit to Habibi's it's a family run restaurant and that gives this place an authentic advantage. The dining area is vast and very middle eastern the music is ethnic and adds to the ambience. The young lady who help me me was wonderful. Happy and helpful she guided me through the choices. I hate to leave a bad review but the bathroom was filthy. There is a dirty cloth chair and rags on the floor around the toilet. The little bit of soap in the container was watered down. Found this spot on google maps in search of Mediterranean food. The restaurant is located in vibrant North Attleboro neighborhood. The interior is eclectic with plenty of seating for couples or large parties, including a descent bar. Service is personable, wasn't a fan of the packaged pita bread delivered to the table. Others probably like the covid-esk delivery. I asked for mine to be take out of the plastic and warmed up. Delicious with the olive oil and sesame seed dip. Ordered the lamp shawarma. It came with a crispy side salad, picked veggies (not a fan) wrapped up in a soft pita with plenty of tahini sauce. Superb. The mixed grill looked great. The food was good, ordered a cheese burger wrap that I loved, others ordered a kebab platter which was really tasty too and serving sizes were pretty good. The server was so nice and friendly! My girlfriend and I love Habibi's. Their menu is broad and everything we've tried is delicious! The service is always great, the owners are lovely people, and their staff is top notch. Though their dining space is smaller than most, it's a warm and inviting atmosphere with a quiet, friendly environment. Take out from Habibi's is always great too, I remember once I stopped by for an order, and it took longer than expected. While I was waiting, the owner offered me a water, on the house. You don't always see friendly service like this much anymore. Being of Middle Eastern descent myself, Habibi's gives me an authentic experience that reminds me of my father's cooking. Great new find in North Attleboro. I now have a go-to spot for Mediterranean food! Stopped in on a Friday evening around 7pm. It seemed like the to-go orders were keeping them busy as opposed to the dine-in. When you walk in you'll notice the restaurant is divided into a dining area and a pick up food area. I was immediately greeted and was able to pick my seating over in the dining area. My server Katie (not sure of spelling) was super awesome!! She provided drink recommendations, helped with picking out my meal, and checked on me throughout the evening. I ended up going with the mixed grill for 1. It comes with rice pilaf and veggies. I added the Fattoush salad, which is a delicious fresh mix of veggies...to include fresh mint, parsley, and crunchy pita chips with a light vinaigrette. The mixed grill for 1 is a perfect size for 1. You get a sampling of each of the meats served on top of the rice. I like spice so I asked for the side of "house spicy" which is their hot sauce. It was nice to add to my rice and meat and mixed well with the garlic aioli and hummus. Each of the meats from the mixed grill were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. My favorite meat was the beef kabob. I really enjoyed the evening. Food is amazing, service is great, and the overall vibe within the restaurant was just a win. Phenomenal food and great service. We ordered the Hummus, Chicken Shawarma Lunch Special with the Fattoush Salad, Lamb Kafta Kabab Pita Wrap, and Baklava. My favorite was the Fattoush Salad. Our waiter Katie recommended it and it exceeded my expectations. My friend's favorite was the Lamb Kafta Kabab Pita Wrap. I also really liked it. The Kafta was really juicy and flavorful. It balanced perfectly with the pickled vegetables and hummus. The hummus was also delicious but the pita that came with it was a bit stale. It seemed like the pita bread was pre-packaged rather than fresh. The hummus serving was a reasonable price for a large serving. Honestly, some of the best hummus I've tried. I was a bit confused about the baklava. It was decent but nothing special. The service was really great. They continuously checked up on us and answered our questions. You need to try this place! The food is so good! Everything is fresh and I feel good after I eat it. The owner is usually there and he is always helpful with suggestions. Interesting experience at this restaurant. Started out friendly and pleasant, but went downhill when they messed up one of the orders and tried to add insult to injury by saying that that's how it should be eaten. You can't agree to accommodate a minor request, not follow through and then chastise the customer. They offered to fix the blunder but resorted to being petty and making it worse. The food itself was average overall in my opinion. The fatoush salad was pretty good. The chicken kebab was nicely seasoned but dry. The beef in the shawarma was good but the sauce was a let down. We weren't sure if we had to go inside to order, but once we did service was quick and friendly. I'm from an area where middle eastern restaurants are abundant, but I have yet to find a good one locally. Decided to try this place based on good reviews. The restaurant was fairly empty at 6:30pm on a Friday night. We were told to sit anywhere. Looks like they own two storefronts/spaces that are connected. It's not a fancy place, but also not quick serve. We originally sat in the window, but it was too cold and moved towards the kitchen. I don't think it's quiet anywhere in this bustling restaurant so don't look for a romantic dining experience. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We started with Lebanese wine (both a white and a red). It was very good. We ordered two dinners and a side of tabouli, but all the dishes came out separately. The tabouli didn't have any cracked wheat which is strange to me since my grandmother made it for years and I've eaten it at other restaurants many times. Tasted like watery, unripe tomatoes and parsley. It was missing the lemon, wheat and that ripe tomato taste. The baba ganoush, hummus, falafel, and rice pilaf were very good. The bread was the large thin pita, cut into triangles. Not made in-house. We finished with dessert. I always like to try baklava. The baklava was okay, but was very thin (one layer) and drowning in clear simple syrup. I'm not sure if this is how these menu items are made regularly or if they ran out of some ingredients. I have been coming here since it opened. The expansion has been great since there's definitely more ambiance. Service is unfortunately imperfect, thus my 4 stars instead of 5, because the food is AMAZING. I generally have the Lamb Kafta Kabob (pic) dish, which I can never finish and bring home for leftovers. I gotta tell you something. One of the best things I've ever eaten in my life is Knafeh. It's a glorious cheese dessert unlike anything we have in traditional north American food culture. It's this magical gooey cheese with a buttery crust that can be either a semolina cake or a crispy shredded filo dough, but it's always topped with a sweet syrup and pistachios. As you can imagine, I will go out of my way to get my hands on some of this stuff, and that's how I found Habibi's. I've been to places that I thought had knafeh, but once I got there, I was left disappointed because it was untrue or they only made it on holidays. I learned, so I called Habibi's first and verified that that they had it every day, which was awesome. Next step was to loop my better half into it and make a day out of the adventure, so off we set to get some cheese dessert. The drive was lengthy, but it was interesting to drive through some of the cities between Newport and Habibi's. One of the cities was literally over 300 years old! That's almost as old as my dad! Parking was easy and plentiful on the main street where the restaurant was located, and was free of charge. Inside, the restaurant is eclectic. The first room is more of a small café, and the second room is a mishmash of a very large bar, an entertainment area, and some banquet space. Also, they weirdly have a lot of jewelry on some stands in the café area, which was super strange to me. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and were seated promptly. The menu is huge, and the only thing I knew I wanted to order was the knafeh. The waitress, although very nice, was very persistent in trying to get our order, which made me feel rushed. Finally we decided just to get it out of the way. We started with a spiced cheese roll, which looked like an eggroll but had cheese instead of veggies. It was good but nothing great, and I got bored with it after eating one. After that I ordered some hummus for the table, which was the most tahini-forward hummus I've ever had, and pita which was cold, inflexible, and pretty lackluster. The entrees were a lamb kofta wrap with fries for him, and the falafel plate for me. His wrap was very standard, and the fries were nothing special. My falafel came with a salad which was very brown and not appetizing at all, as well as virtually flavorless rice, but very zesty pink pickles and decently flavored falafel. For dessert I ordered a glass of Merwah Lebanese wine, which was not as good as my favorite Lebanese wine, but that's rough because Chateau Musar is some of the best wine anywhere and it's tough to compare anything to it. For him, we had some baklava which was crisp and yummy, and the star of the show was the knafeh which happily did not disappoint. Oooey , gooey, sweet, crunchy and perfectly hot! Delightful. Prices were fair, servings were plentiful, but overall seasoning and quality left gaps. The lettuce issue was something they absolutely could have seen and not served, and leads me to believe they need to implement more quality assurance between cooking and serving. Dessert is the real star, and is the reason that I will return. I spoke with someone over the phone and they said I can order a whole TRAY of knafeh, and I probably will in the future. Starving after shopping at outlets and found this place ten minutes away. We asked Kelly our server for recommendations and she set us up with some great selections of shawarma, falafels and salads. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. Pita bread is the only thing not prepared there, but everything else was so good that it wouldn't stop us from going back. I took my son to Habibi's for a quick lunch the other day. We had driven past many times & finally decided to go in based on the positive reviews & our love of Mediterranean food. Right away I noticed that the inside needs some major assistance....It didn't look very clean & there were tons of gauges in the walls that were poorly touched up. Service was great. Our waitress was really nice & attentive. We were the only people dining at that time though, so it would have been bad if she wasn't attentive! As for the food, the hummus was DELICIOUS. Very fresh. However, the pita was definitely store bought & gross. I've had better pita that's store bought! I ordered a greek salad, which was satisfactory. Nothing special. I was in town and looking for a Mediterranean restaurant and this was the closest one. I was really excited to go there. There's street parking available of which we were able to get one and we went during the week. We ended up parking across the street and having to cross. The light at the crosswalk makes a really loud sound when it's time to cross and stop....it's unlike anything I've ever heard anywhere. You can even slightly hear it in the restaurant. I'm not sure if there is a private parking lot just for this area as it is a small downtown area. The sign for the restaurant wasn't that obvious and didn't stand out that much we almost passed it. The restaurant itself on the inside is quaint, clean, and has a nice ambiance. I like how they set up each table with a nice table cloth and fresh flowers. When we got inside we were told to sit wherever we wanted. Almost everything we needed was already at the table. We had our menus, glasses, napkins, small plates, and cutlery. We chose to sit by the window tucked away in a little section. There is a lot of seating available at this restaurant. We placed our orders and the food came out about 20-25 minutes after. There was one gentleman there taking everyone's order. The food was OK. I ordered the falafel platter which came with rice, falafels, and some sauce. It did not come with pita, so if that's something you want you have to make sure to order it separately. The prices were fair, for two meals we spent around $25. read more
