I ordered take out on a Thursday afternoon. I struggled a bit with the website because there wasn't any descriptions attached to the menu items. When I grabbed the menu, there were plenty of descriptions so I've attached the menu photos to Yelp. I ordered the Okra Stew and it came with a large side of Rice that was flavored with Mediterranean spices. The stew was delicious with carrots, potatoes, okra, and chunks of lamb meat. Everything was balanced and tasted amazing. It was really good with the rice too if you like to mix the two together. $19.99 (A little pricey for soup) The Greek salad was very good, chopped up with fresh white onions on it. The Greek dressing was fantastic. $10.99 (Would be even better if you can add chicken to it - I'm sure they would be if you asked). Chicken Shawarma was a special for $9.99 made with fresh veggies. The chicken was a little dry, but still very good. The veggies did a good job of blending it all together.

Rating: 4.5 Came to try this newer middle eastern restaurant for dinner. Wanted to give it a try as it looked promising and there aren't many authentic middle eastern restaurants in RI. Parkings are available. Inside is on the smaller side and only has few seatings. Luckily it was not too busy and was few middle eastern customers which seemed to be regulars. We sat down and looked at the menu. I ordered lemon and mint juice and lamb kabsa. Tried ordering mango juice but was not available at the time. Lemon and mint juice was refreshing. Sort of like lemon slushy with mint. Lamb kabsa was excellent. Large piece of lamb meat that falls right off the bone and spiced rice with great savory flavor from the lamb that must have been cooked together. There was also side of tomato base sauce which brings some acidity to the fatty meat and makes it refreshing. The service was good overall. They did seem to offer tea or coffee as self serve but didn't realize until after finished eating. Overall the place was very good and may be my new favorite go to spot for authentic middle eastern food. Price is on higher side but not too bad comparatively to other place. I would go back to try out their other menu.

Our first time experiencing Yemeni cuisine and we enjoyed ourselves very much! The restaurant is small, only about 7 tables, so you need to be lucky or patient, but the staff is warm and welcoming, and it's good to see families there and folks of all ages. The restaurant also does a solid takeout biz. We chose a variety of dishes to try: falafel & hummus, baba ghanoush, fattoush, okra stew, lamb mandi, mushakel khothar, and their homemade tandoori-baked flatbread. This latter - with their excellent baba ghanoush drizzled with a peppery olive oil - was outstanding. I could eat this all day (and night!). So tasty with an irresistible smokiness! The lamb mandi was a lamb shank, very tender, and the basmati rice pilaf was subtle and mild. It came with a piquant garlicky and vinegary condiment that added the right amount of kick. The fattoush was also very flavorful and colorful. The okra stew and mushakel khothar (a vegetable stew) were mildly seasoned and unctuous. The falafel had a very crunchy outside but was a little bland for our taste as was their hummus. Overall an enjoyable and pleasant meal ... but that tandoor bread -wow!

I enjoyed my experience! This is a new location of only a couple months that provides indoor seating and a total of 5 seating tables, and take out services. Their menu is limited but very solid and delicious. I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was very soft and well seasoned chicken with rice under, lettuce shreds and dressing. My partner had a lamb dish and it was phenomenal! The meat fell from the bone very easily and was flavorful. Not a lot of places can do lamb well, much less a fall off the bone dish! Lamb was obviously cooked for the proper time, and for a couple of hours. We were served mint lemonade juice and it was very refreshing. The staff was attentive and prompt so the service, and it was observed that they are on top of cleaning! Tables and linens were changed, and a peak in the kitchen was seen to be clean! The entrance is wheelchair accessible. I throughly enjoyed and recommended this new spot to others to try it out!

AMAZING food, cozy interior. We got the chicken mandi, lamb mandi, and okra stew. All were amazing but the lamb was the most juicy. Service could have been a bit faster but we were still in and out in an hour. Would definitely come back. The complimentary tea at the end was a nice touch :)

Don't sleep on this spot!!! We stopped in on a Sunday evening after my husband found it on Google. Staff was super friendly and kind! Prices were good for portions. We started with hummus and their house made bread and it was such a good choice. Followed it up with the lamb kabsa and chicken Mandi. The lamb was cooked so perfectly and both dishes had such flavorful good flavor. They had house made tea too for everyone to try and we loved it! Would totally recommend this spot to check it out. I know we'll go back to try new items off the menu!

fab Yemeni halal food hits rhode island! came on eid day and had a table for us reserved simply by calling same day. super hospitable servers. they were slammed but kept attentive service for us. it was quite warm inside in this heat wave so needs better air conditioning. the interior design is sweet and minimalist, and reminds me of someone's new home. we got the Mushakal veggie stew as a starter even though it's an entree so we could try that fire bread. each of us got a different platter. i got the lamb haneeth and it was fall off the bone lamb! generous portions for the price. friends got lemon mint and fries to enjoy. it inspired me to think about yemeni fusion like what would a tandoor lamb mandi sandwich wrap look like or what would a flatbread with chicken mandi, cheese, and parsley taste like? i am excited to see how their menu fares over time.

Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

The fries were great, sandwiches were also really good! Would like to come back and get one of their main dishes as they all sounded pretty good. We got the bread pudding for dessert (sorry forgot the photo) but that was really good!! Would get again.

There was a strong Korean presence, which always feels like a good sign when you're looking for something authentic and a bit outside the norm. I was especially excited to try gopchang (grilled intestines), and it ended up being both new and oddly familiar. The texture is definitely different, but not off-putting at all. When you think about it, sausage comes from similar ingredients, so it's not as foreign as it might sound. Having had sweetbreads and offals before, some of the flavor notes felt recognizable, which made it easier to appreciate. Other items, like the thin-sliced brisket, were more familiar and just as enjoyable. Everything we had was fresh and well-prepared. The space itself is clean, bright, and welcoming, with K-pop videos playing and a solid selection of Korean drinks like soju and Milkis to round things out. The side dishes were creative and accessible, including corn cheese, steamed eggs, house salad, and japchae noodles. The egg fried rice was excellent as well, and a great complement to the meats. Our group ranged from adventurous to more cautious eaters, and everyone genuinely enjoyed the experience. Cooking at the table took a minute to get used to, but it was part of the fun and easy to pick up. Service was friendly and helpful throughout. The ventilation was very good and not overly smoky, which can sometimes be an issue at Korean BBQ spots. It is a bit on the pricier side, but for a special occasion or a night out to try something new, it felt justified. This works well either as a fun date night or with a small group so you can try a variety of dishes. Even dessert was a highlight, creative and well executed. This is the kind of place that feels like a special night out, and we would absolutely go back.

The dishes are rich, occasionally greasy, but oh boy--are they packed with flavor! Curry, coconut milk, and spices play starring roles in most of the dishes. The fish soup? Absolutely delicious. It can be a gamble to try fish-based soup, but I trust how most Asians prepare it, so I went for it. No regrets! Here's what we enjoyed: Nanu Pork Dumpling: A sweet, scrumptious twist on a cooked sushi roll Mohinga: Fish-based soup with rice noodles, egg, cilantro, scallions, and fried split chickpeas (so delish!). Some awesome crispy appetizer (see pic) paired with hard-boiled eggs came as a side dish. The couple who own and run this spot are incredibly gracious, patiently walking us through what to expect from each dish. The wife is the head chef, and her passion shows in every bite. Place just opened when we went so we were quickly sat down as we were the only customer. The seating is limited as there are only 3 tables available. We ordered Burmese Milk tea, Fried chicken (Sweet), Nanu chicken dumplings, stir fried noodles, and Basil Chicken with rice. Fried chicken wings were crispy, sweet and savory. Nanu dumplings were topped with scallions , fried onions and spicy mayo and were delicious. Basil chicken was flavorful with hint of spice from basil. Stir fried was also topped with fried onions and was very flavorful as well. All the food did come with plastic containers so it's easy to take home if you have leftovers. First time trying Burmese milk tea and was good but I think I prefer Thai milk tea better. Overall the place was very good. Food was great, service was good and price was fair. Only downside was that the place is small with limited seating and the place was hot because it's summer and there is no AC. They have fan and we sat in front of it but was not good enough. I would order take out next time. Other than that it's a solid place.
