Now additionally, as you can see, Habit Burger responded telling me to email them for more information, which is a joke because I've already sent them two emails a week ago when they wouldn't pick up the phone or answer my calls to the management. I will be wasting no more of my time dealing with this and will move on. The In-N-Out next-door should've been my first choice anyway. Two salads, two hairs. Both times I found a short black hair at the bottom of the salad. At this point I'm less concerned about bad luck and more concerned about who's prepping the lettuce. Make sure you check your curb side orders before you leave! This is the third time my order was wrong with a curbside order. Double check you have everything and that the order is correct! The first time, I didn't check. Drove away, and got home realizing I didn't have avocado on my veggie burger. I was not happy about that, especially since I paid extra for that add on. Second time it happened, I checked when they walked it out curbside to me. I walked right back in and asked for my avocado. This most recent time, same thing happened. No avocado on my burger when I paid extra for that. I walked in with the bag and asked for my avocado. This seems to happen a lot. So, if you pay extra for avocado, make sure you double check that it is on your burger/ sandwich. It seems they like to forget to put that on pretty often. That annoys me. The whole point of curbside is so that they walk it to your car and you don't have to go inside. I had to get out wearing my pajamas to go inside to ask for my avocado. Frustrating that they can't get this right. Anyway, once everything was correct, my veggie burger was fantastic. The veggies were all fresh, the wheat bread warm, cheese was goey, and avocado ripe. The veggie patty itself was hot and hearty. That's such a good burger. I added pickles too. Avocado and pickles are the ticket on the veggie! My husband got the new Sirloin Steak sandwich. He was disappointed with this and won't be ordering it again. He said it was not like the picture. It was the thinnest piece of steak. The bread was dry and it didn't have much flavor to it. My husband even poured a bunch of ranch on it to try to give it something and it didn't help. Not worth it. He prefers the char burger over this sandwich. read more

Ordered at the counter as they have 3 kiosks but 2 kiosks are out of commission and you can only use the kiosk if paying by card. The counter only has one cashier, so there could be a wait if coming during rush hours. When I ordered at the counter, they gave me a buzzer that goes off when my order is ready. Got a: 1. Double charburger with cheese, protein style (with lettuce wrap in lieu of the bun): 9/10 -1 star for the messy burger they made as they did not wrap it well: The paper wrap did not wrap all the way on the bottom so the minute I took a bite, the entire burger slid out and fell apart on the tray. I ended up having to assemble the burger from my tray. The burger was also a bit too salty. 2. Chicken Club Sandwich: 9/10 it was toasted really well, very crispy, and I liked that it had avocado/guacamole. They also cut it in half for me. However, they arranged the sandwich really weird as one half had more ingredients than the other half (like 75% was in one half and the other half only had 25% of the ingredients). 3. Oreo shake: 10/10, a really solid & delicious Oreo shake Otherwise, it was a good experience. They get really busy at lunchtime but they do their best to get orders in and out quickly. Inside it is clean and they have a self-serve jalapeño bar next to the drink machine. They also have Hibiscus Agua Fresca and a strawberry limeade along with the fountain drinks and shakes that they offer. However, on a random Thurs lunch, the agua Fresca and Limeade were already almost out. During the lunch hour, they were so busy that they did not refill it. One poor guy asked them to refill the Limeade and gave up after waiting 20 mins because the line was never ending so the worker never got a chance to get to it. Located right next to In N Out, it's a great option for fresh burgers without the immense wait. Of course the price is a little more for the fresh burger. My protein style Char burger with cheese ended up costing $9.09 (burger only, not the meal). There's about 13 tables inside with one large table that can fit a party of 10. There's also a couple of tables outside for those that prefer patio seating complete with the outdoor umbrellas. Love the open kitchen concept so you can actually see them making your order on the spot. First of all the Burger and fries were amazing!!! The little cashier was excellent at the beginning. The other two taking pictures of each other that left the little one alone during the diner time were not good. The dining room and restrooms are a mess and fruit flys all over our table. I went to order an ice cream cone after my food was finished and a sign stating Cash & coupons only is at the front now. I don't have cash so she instructs me to order on the kiosk for credit transactions. The one problem is that cones are not on the kiosk to order. I let her know and she tells me that she is sorry. The guy who was at the register. We decided to go ahead and put it for to go. Did not put any gloves on, put a napkin over my fries. And then proceeded to put my fries in a bag with his bare hand as he's hands are touching my fries.His name was Louie. There's many things that need to be improved here at this location. I ordered two burgers with bacon and the meat and buns were not hot they were a bit cold. I also ordered a side of onion rings and they were not cooked correctly. I thought it was bit odd that they had a tray on the counter with several fries and burgers sitting there until an order came up and they just grab those. That can be a reason why my burgers came out a bit cold since they were just sitting there. The customer service was subpar and could use extra training. I never really come to the Habit burger only because the one near my home is right next to In n Out but I decided to try something different then usual and boy am I glad I did!! The Santa Barbra Char is sooo FIRE to me I love the sour dough bread for a burger so not the Norm but so YUMMY. I was very surprised that they're fries were soooo BOMB and the GARLIC AIOLI condiment is sooooo DELICIOUS something I've never had with fries or onion rings!!! The onion rings aren't fat but really crispy I love the size and texture they actually break apart in your mouth which is a PLUS!!! I love it so much that we went back the next week and tried one of they're salads which was also super bomb for a salad for a burger spot ;) I'll definitely being going more since I'm tired of the same ol stuff!! Ian chose Habit today as part of a week long family lunch date we had planned to officially end the Pandemic! We had a good meal at this restaurant just now thanks to my sons selection. Mrs. loves Habit Burger. Ian loves all burgers. The selection today did not disappoint. Mrs. opted for their Portobello Burger. Ian wanted his usual Charburger. I wanted to try Brussels Sprouts and a Veggie burger. So I chose them and also had an Ahi-Tuna sandwich. We got a large drink and a large fries as sides with a meal. Total came to $43.90 with taxes for all this. All the burgers were delicious. Brussels Sprouts were cooked very well with Garlic. Each bite did its part to drench the fat from the Burgers down with healthy fiber! Veggie Burger was different, filling and did not disappoint. Ahi-Tuna is my go to at Habit Burger and the taste at this location was consistent with what I was expecting. Ian completely devoured his Charburger and his fries. He loved his lunch! Food was served fast. Employees were very personable. While we were dining, tables were being promptly cleaned as soon as patrons were leaving. Top marks! I haven't been to The Habit in a very long time until today. I was in the area & was craving for a good beefy burger, I saw online that they have portobello mushroom burger, so I decided to come here instead of their rival next door. I ordered the mushroom burger with side of sweet potato fries. The burger was very good and exceeded my expectations, it was beefy, juicy, decent portion & the portobello mushroom amplified the flavor. As far as service though, it was a little bit of a miss, the employee who took my order was kinda cold and gave an impression that he didn't want to be there. Good food, better than In-and-Out but slower and more expensive. You can order in person but no one really mans the cashier readily so you'll need to order at a cashless kiosk. I ordered a double burger for around $9.50 that hit the spot. Customizing on the kiosk just means adding more or less of whatever normally comes on it so it isn't as good as regular ordering. It automatically says no to napkins so I changed that to yes napkins. Came out 12 minutes later with zero napkins-- there are napkins customers can get on their own but why have that as a required item on the kiosk if it's not used? Both occasions a real disappointment: Terrible customer service , on both visits the staff were standing around deep in conversation not even a hello when I walked in . The food was bland and not up to par compared to other locations . I ordered dine in and they just left my food on the counter for 4 minutes while I was in the restroom. Worst place in the world don't ever go there my wife slipped and fell in a big puddle of water. No one did anything to help her. The lady got on the phone with us supposedly a manager, and said that my wife was making a big deal out of it that they had a wet floor sign up it smelt like raw sewage. They said there's a problem with the sewer and the whole place stunk and they just had people eat in there when my wife requested a number and the name of the manager, the lady went in the back and never came back, but we were at Verizon next-door so we had to go, but then when we came back in the lady was like oh you came back And all we ever got was a name to a manager no number no phone call from anybody nobody ever reached out to us nobody ever apologize nothing it's all on video cameras and everything this place is Jessica should be fired. Came here with my friend at around 9 PM since I picked her up from her work shift. They're open until 11 PM on Fridays, so that was great for us ! Everything is socially distanced from seating inside and pick up for food, drink, and to go orders. I only ordered the onion rings and lemonade but it came out in less than 10 minutes. The exterior was crispy and the interior was very buttery and the actual onion part wasn't too stringy or fake tasting like other places. This place is located right next door to in and out burger. A little history is the habit was created in Santa Barbara. On the menu there is a Santa Barbara burger which is two sourdough bread with burger patty with cheese and avocado inside. There is plenty of parking. The staff is friendly and make sure they correct your order. I had a problem one time where I wanted the new family meal bundle, but she charged me individually. It came out to more than the value price. I told her about it and she quickly changed it but gave me 50 percent off. I am not sure if she knew what she was doing on the register. The food quality is good. The burger was nice and char. The cheese was melted on the patty and everything taste good. The fries were a little salty. The last time I came was because I got an email about a free promotion on a chicken club sandwich I ordered thru the app it was super easy and I picked up curbside ... the food is always amazing and the service is too sometimes the curbside takes a little long for my liking that's the only thing that kinda gets annoying . Don't bother tipping for curbside! Learn from my experience. You won't get your food any faster than if you'd left no tip. Even though my food was ready and COOLING on the counter, I still waited 12 mins after receiving a text that it was ready, even with a 20% tip. Had to go in and get it myself. No customers at the counter, so not that busy. Food was lukewarm, of course. Done getting curbside here. Even with a tip, they still suck at it. Ordering inside only from now on. TLDR: Curbside tipping is underserved at this place. You won't get your food any faster. Just order inside. read more
