I was on my way to Costco and was in the mood for something different for lunch and I remembered that there was a Jersey Mikes on the same corner of Harbor and Orangethorpe. I looooooove the Big Kahuna sandwich which is a Philly cheese steak on steroids. It has tons of meat and extra cheese with peppers, onions, mushrooms, and jalapenos. Once you finish it, there is usually a lot of stuff left to eat off the wrapper that fell off because the sandwich is so big. Their sandwiches are a little on the expensive side but even the regular size is pretty massive. I dined in and the tables and dining area were all very clean. They were not super busy when I was there around 2pm on a Friday afternoon. The employee who took my order was very friendly and we even chit chatted for a bit when I was paying. Parking can be a challenge sometimes because this little corner of the shopping center also has a Verizon store, Habit Burger, and Taco Bell and In-N-Out Burger is also right next door. read more

I come this location often because it's close to my kids school, my church and home. I am always treated nicely, online and in person orders have been on time and created promptly. I like the atmosphere and energy the young people working bring. Unfortunately I have had to witness customers being rude, petty and unkind for no reason. I will however continue to come here. Made a quick stop here during the quarantine and it really hit the spot! There were no other customers in the shop when I was there, but the guys behind the counter were all chipper and eager to assist me. They joked around that my husband and I were their lunch rush--pleasantries to make the experience fun. They prepared my sandwich perfectly and toasted the meat on the grill without hesitation when I asked. The only thing I wish this location had was sweet Maui onion chips. Service: 2 stars Food Portion Consistency: 1 star Food taste: 4 stars Stopped by last Friday, for the first time at this location, because we spotted it while we were driving in the area. All the Jersey Mike's in our area have closed down. Once we entered the store, there was only 1 person in front of us and no acknowledgement once we stepped into the awkward line, even though there were at least 3 workers in the front of the restaurant. The to-go orders/uber eats/etc. are on the tables to the left once you step into the store. We ordered 2 regular-sized #17 Mike's Famous Philly (Grilled onions, peppers & white American cheese), but the sandwich sizes were not the same. The bread was cut by a woman worker and when we were being rung up by the male worker, he even asked the woman worker if the smaller sized was a "mini"! I mean, if your own worker can tell the difference of about an 1" in difference, there's a problem. Since the orders were rewards, we didn't want to spend more time "asking" why the sizes were different because the restaurant was getting crowded in the corner when ordering and the workers were not very kind to begin with. Due to the pandemic, people can grab bottles of soda, tea, or water from the fridge, instead of using cups and the soda fountain. The taste of the sandwiches were great, but the service can be improved greatly, along with consistency in sandwich sizes. Maybe have a ruler gauge on the counter so it's even for everyone. The cost of the sandwiches and meals are already high enough... It's no wonder that Chipotle had so many people dining out on the patio or consistently heading in to the restaurant for their orders. With this experience, I am not surprised why their locations are closing one after another. Also, there is a sign on the door requiring people to wear masks (which I agree with during the pandemic), but when we entered, the person ordering was not wearing a mask over his mouth while ordering. Only wearing a mask under his chin. There were workers around him, and this guy was a paramedic, according to his shirt -- which I can only assume would have higher contact with those who may have COVID-19. He only put his mask over his mouth once he spotted a cop walk by to Chipotle. The workers here did not even enforce the mask policy. He could have spread the virus in the air, and possibly even onto the ingredients on the counter. Parking lot was pretty full for a Saturday afternoon, so one may need to park a bit further. read more

Yes, I did go to this store an hour before closing. Having worked in restaurants for many years, I know the feeling of trying to close early and having people come in. Too bad though, but at least greet me with enthusiasm. The guy serving me showed little to no emotion and it was an awkward couple of minutes while trying to decide what to get. I got their Original Italian with wheat bread, Mike's Way. Paid about $8-9 for a regular size that included two pieces. The girl that made my sandwich looked so sad and depressed while slicing the meat and putting it on my sandwich. The regular size is a total rip off. That was the smallest sandwich I have ever seen in my life. I wonder how this place is when they get busy during a lunch rush. Please hire some new people that actually need the job and can provide great customer service. Tried to enjoy lunch with the hubby today and I am just totally disgusted. After handling greasy bacon, the employee was about to dip his greasy gloves into the veggies to make my husband's sandwich, who doesn't eat pork. Had to ask him to change his gloves. The sandwiches tasted great, but I couldn't take more than a couple bites because I was so uncomfortable. I help homeless people all the time and I'm so not a privileged Karen type, but to allow a filthy, incredibly smelly homeless man to stand inside the restaurant digging through the trash can 4ft away from me is just crazy and unsanitary. I can't shake off the smell of urine and feces that wafted in the air. He was clearly on drugs. He wasn't a customer and everyone was uncomfortable trying to eat. I had to ask an employee to ask him to go, he did, but the guy came back inside 30 seconds later and nobody did anything. We grabbed our food from the table and ate in the truck. Fullerton has a major homeless problem but the staff should be addressed on how to handle it. How can anyone enjoy their $40 lunch when it smells like a dumpster and you don't feel safe. The store is small and I would recommend using the mobile app to pre-order. It's located in a place with tons of other dining options. So it's busy, and parking is scarce. It's also not easy to socially distance while ordering. Due to the small space what you order and they assemble the sub. The tap pay at the register also doesn't work. I love Jersey Mike's but this location you would be safer doing a mobile order. You will earn points towards free subs and you won't have to wait or be cramped in the small store. read more

I was pretty upset since the food was for my child who has a 30 minute lunch and she couldn't eat it. I wrote a complaint on the Jersey Mike's website and the manager/owner called me the next day! I wasn't expecting a phone call and once I picked up the phone, I was ready to argue my case. However, she was quick to resolve my complaint in such a pleasant way it left me happier to buy from this Jersey Mike's than the other location that I usually purchase from.
