Charburger with Cheese
Kate C.

This is a great fast casual burger spot. Everything seems on the healthier side and the burgers are awesome. I just had a regular old cheeseburger with some fries which were lovely. I went with friends and tried the tempura green beans and they were so so. They basically just tasted... tenpura. Fairly flavorless. If there was some seasoning in the tempura these would be the bomb! The service was nice. Nothing crazy good and certainly not bad. I'd go again!

Charburger with Cheese, onion rings, and cucumber lemonade

First time trying Habit Burger and I got the Charburger with cheese. It is their most basic cheese burger with lettuce, tomato, onions, and mayo, but it was really good. Onion rings were hot and fresh, and the ranch-style sauce made them even better. I'd compare the burger to Shake Shack, which I like a lot. They've also got some solid homemade drink options like cucumber lemonade, regular lemonade and sweet tea. They also have a Pepsi fountain drink machine. I'll definitely be back to try the Santa Barbara burger.

So good! For a fast food type place Habit does it right! First I love you can go in and order at the self check out, do it all yourself, next the options! Burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, chicken nuggets, lots of choices. My favorite is the burgers, so good! Fresh and savory I thought they tasted great! I also liked the salads too! Gotta try the tempura green beans too! Quick, easy, better quality food, love it!

First time trying this place and enjoyed it. I really like the box option they offer because it's great for sharing for a decent price point. I had the teriyaki burger and it had a good flavor. I won't say this is my favorite burger of all time but it's definitely a good choice.

Little to much on the burger for me...Santa Barbara avocado on sourdough bread burger.

6/3 as a blood doner I got notification that if you gave blood at the One Blood red bus there, one would receive 2 coupons for Habits charbroiled burgers. I never had a burger here so I thought that would be good (and I brought my husband and sister) to donate too. I got the Santa Fe avocado burger on sour dough and thought...I'd preferred just the burger; too much stuff on it. Others got the burger, fries and onion rings with no complaint. I think it is very community nice to offer these burgers for giving blood.

We decided to try a fairly new to the area fast food / burger place. The interior and exterior were both very clean. There's a light to turn in from Baymeadows which is a huge plus in traffic and plenty of parking. You order from a kiosk and we didn't see any staff members until we were texted our food was ready. The food was ready in a few minutes and very good. The grilled onions on the burgers were great. We'd ordered a double cheeseburger & water and a cheeseburger meal for lunch. It was a little under $20, so very reasonable. We will definitely go back for another visit. The only negatives were that no staff members were around to ask questions and the options are limited on the kiosk if you wanted light condiments, or extra -- it was yes or no. Also, the kiosk asked for a tip. I feel tipping well for good service is extremely important, but when I hadn't seen an employee, have to place my own order & pick it up, plus get & refill my own drinks -- I really wasn't sure what an appropriate tip would be. I'd like to be given that option after I've had my food.

First time I had Habit was in cali and it was cool to see one here. The burgers are seasoned well for sure its not bland at all. The staff are so friendly and fun to chat with. We got a cookies and cream shake and it was so yummy. The space is big and clean. A good spot for fast food burgers :)

Burgers and sandwiches are super solid, but I really love their sides! Love their fries and onion rings, but I especially love the tempura green beans.

Today while driving my husband around for work, we decided to hop over to Habit Burger & Grill off Baymeadows. It was right around the corner from one of his work sites, and I had a BOGO Free coupon from signing up for their app and rewards program. I've only been here once and it was for a Yelp event a few months ago. The hubby hasn't had them before for so it was a nice little opportunity for him to give it a try. For a fast food chain burger, its not bad, but it's not great. I think for folks who work and live in the immediate area, it's a good little option, but not something I personally am going to drive across town for because I crave it. Today, being a perfect example of that. We were in the area, i had a coupon to make it a good value for us, so we drove over and spent less then $15 on lunch for the two of us. We shared an order of the tempura green beans. I absolutely LOVE these so much, and bonus, they have really good ranch! We shared a Strawberry Limeade to drink. Sweet and tangy, but definitely not something I could drink more than 1 of. I also like that they have a little pepper bar with jalapeños and pickled banana peppers.

Single Charburger with Cheese and 50/50 (Onion Rings & Fries)

Stopped in at this west coast counter service burger place inside a converted Arby's on Baymeadows Road for lunch today. The parking lot was crowded upon arrival but I found a spot and got in line to order. They have self serve kiosks but I got in line bc I had a coupon for a free burger. The place was filled with lawn care guys, medical staff, business professionals and proved that a good burger knows no bounds. After waiting for a couple of other people to order, I was greeted by the lady running the cash register at the counter. She was kind, polite and helpful (my coupon was expired but she found a way for me to get a free single char burger with cheese anyway after consulting with her manager). She also explained to me that the 50/50 side option lets you pick any of their fried sides, I opted for fries and rings which come with a side of ranch. I ordered water to drink bc they carry Pepsi products and they are not my fave. After ordering, I received a digital token to wait for my order and found a place to sit among their combination of 2,4,6 and 8 person tables and high tops. Everything was clean and taken care of, to include the bathroom but they were out of soap (I attribute this to the lunch rush). The music was a little loud for my taste but it did not bother other patrons. I waited about 15 minutes for my food, but when I got it, it was worth the wait. The burger was freshly cooked and comes topped with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, pickles and mayo. The 50/50 side was a little small but their ranch dipping sauce was awesome. Good place for a quick-ish lunch with friends or a solo meal while at work.

Food was 10/10! As far as the service is was just okay. They have a bunch of high schoolers working in there so we had to keep asking for things that should've been giving to us & they gave me the wrong thing for my side. Ex. The manager didn't seem to be interested in making sure we are good or fixing the order.

i wanted to try the new west coast California based charcoal broiled burger joint on Baymeadows Rd. Our east coast similarity is soon to be defunct Burger King. Burger King was my first job out of High school so I love flame broiled. I did not just want a burger so I got a grilled chicken instead. I know during Lent seasonill have a fish offering. I can not wait. I saw the scan to irder machine at the entrance. I put my order in and viola I had my order in minutes. I had to ask for it. It was just place on the counter idly.. I misspoke and received a text that my order was ready. From scan to text. How refreshing! The dining room is so spacious. However there were no sugar free options I saw except diet coke. While eating, Alannis Morrisette was playing on the radio. What a terrific time to spend lunch at Habit burger and grill. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and wheat bun with grilled onion and barbecue sauce. Delish. However, the fries were just fries. Off to the drink arena. I walked over to the drink counter. I had a cucumber limonade but I had to settle for the diet coke. The drink was a liitle too sweet. Alright for the Habit experience! It was one for the books. $20 for the meal, tip and gift to charity. Next visit I want to try one of flamebroiled burger and taste the Habit!

Even though we had a reservation, it didn't seem to make a difference. We waited about 15 minutes just to find a host or hostess to be seated. During that time, we saw several other groups leave because no one was available to greet or seat them. It wasn't the best first impression and definitely set the tone for the visit. Once we were seated, the food was excellent. You can really tell that everything is made from scratch, and the quality and freshness stood out. The Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts, topped with garlic aioli and Parmesan cheese, were delicious and packed with flavor. I also ordered the Kale Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, which was fresh and well-balanced with house greens, Parmesan cheese, and Caesar vinaigrette. My little ones ordered the Crispy Southern Fried Chicken Fingers with fries, and they both really enjoyed their meals. Overall, the food was definitely the highlight of our visit, but the service and lack of organization upon arrival could use improvement. If they can address the front-of-house experience, it would make for a much better visit.

My friend ordered us the Pork Belly Kimchi Fries, I got us an order of the Cheese Curds, and for my entree I got an order of the Asian Sticky Wings. I probably would have never ordered the kimchi fries on my own. Sometimes kimchi can be fickle and really hit or miss. It was definitely a hit here. More on the sweet and tangy side but worked really well. Fries seasoned perfectly, and the pork belly cubed and cooked to perfection. Out of all of the times I've been to Wicked Barley, these fries have to be one of the best items I've had from there. Cheese curds were pretty basic. Tasted great, but nothing to write home about. If you like Cheese curds, you'll enjoy theirs. I originally had my eye on the jerk chicken wings and I was warned by the waitress and my friend that they are REALLY hot. Jerk chicken is generally one of those thats right on the borderline of too hot for me. To give you an idea, if you're familiar with Butthutt BBQ's jerk chicken, theirs is as far as I can go for spice level. So I switched it up to be safe, and I am glad I did. Sweet and sticky, these had really great flavor inside and out. Would definitely get these again in the future. Brought a couple home to the hubby and he seemed to enjoy them too, and he normally doesn't like, what he refers to as, "sweet meat". I had three different beers in my favorite tasting style, sour. They were crispy on the outside, warm on the inside, and filled with flavorful meat. The sauces paired perfectly with them and made an already great appetizer even better. For my entrée, I ordered the Bandeja Paisa, and it did not disappoint. The meats were the star of the plate. Everything was juicy, cooked perfectly, and seasoned just enough without being overpowering. The steak was surprisingly tender despite being well done, with just the right amount of fat. The sausage had a great snap, the egg was perfectly jammy, and the chicharrón was absolutely incredible--crispy, crunchy, and easily one of the best I've had. I didn't try the sweet plantains since I'm not a fan and they couldn't be substituted. The arepa was good, although nothing particularly memorable. The only parts of the meal I wasn't impressed with were the rice, which was a bit too salty for my taste, and the beans, which lacked flavor and were underwhelming. For dessert, I tried both the tiramisu and the chocolate cake. The tiramisu was just okay--it wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out, and I wouldn't order it again. The chocolate cake, however, was outstanding. It was incredibly moist, rich without being overly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, Salento does an amazing job with their meats, and that's what I'd recommend most. While a couple of the sides and one dessert didn't quite hit the mark for me, the empanadas, Bandeja Paisa, chicharrón, and chocolate cake were all excellent.
