Our friend from Jacksonville introduced us to Salento Colombian Steakhouse, and I'm so glad they did. The food was outstanding, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt very welcoming and family-oriented. The fresh juices were my favorite--so refreshing and instantly reminded me of my travels to Colombia and Ecuador. I also loved their homemade chimichurri sauce and ended up using it on everything, from the grilled steak to the tostones. If you're looking for authentic Colombian food with great flavors and a warm vibe, I highly recommend Salento Colombian Steakhouse.

My aunt and uncle and I came here for dinner tonight. It's been quite a while since I've been here. I completely forgot how ginormous the chicken breast was! It's like four huge breast combined as one. The flavor of the chicken was great and I really loved the vegetable kebab. The salad was fresh and the salmon was a little dry, but tasted OK he said. We had a wonderful server who had a gentle smile and was very pleasant. The restaurant was very busy but very home like feeling, which is a great ambience for Friday night. Watching the teams work together seemed like one happy family, and it makes you feel warm and embraced when you walk in the door.

The place is unassuming but has a lot of charm! The staff are nice, kind, and full of smiles. The food was served in hearty portions and very appealing. I ordered a papaya drink, very fresh, an appetizer of fried plantain with cheese and guava sauce, and a marina combination for the entree which came with a tilapia filet, 4 shrimp, salmon, and 2 vegetable skewers. The plantain with cheese and guava sauce was new and surprisingly tasty. That's a first for me and I'd definitely enjoy it again. The entree looked great and had minimal seasoning. I added the sauces to add flavor and heat. All in all, it was too much in one sitting so I took it home. I would recommend additional seasoning for the seafood & a lemon to squeeze over it and wake up the flavor.

The moment that I opened the door and walked into Salento, I knew I'd made an excellent choice. You probably would not expect to find such a charming restaurant located within a typical shopping plaza. I loved the entire vibe from the decor to the staff's gaucho uniforms and the friendly welcome I received as I entered. My server Diana was amazing. She immediately brought me some mint water to enjoy while I browsed the gorgeous menu (had to get a pic of it). I decided on the 8oz Flat Steak with corn cake, fried potatoes, & green plantains as my three sides. My steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the sides were delicious too. Especially the potatoes- I'm not sure how the skins were still intact considering how soft the inside was of each potato. I love Colombian coffee so I had to order a cafe con leche to enjoy with the meal. I drink iced coffee 99% of the time, but I could not resist & it was worth it. I even loved the mug so much that I bought one to bring home. This was the best meal I've had in ages! I can't wait to return or possibly check out their second location in Silverleaf.

Food, service everything is top notch. You can't go wrong here. Everything we have tried has been great! The chicken, steaks, ribs, sausages, pork, soups, sides. They don't really have a lot of desserts to offer I've tried the flan and red velvet cup but they are very good. I highly recommend this place.

The food here is so fresh, clean and has so much flavor! The guacamole was well seasoned and very creamy. The food was not overly seasoned, they are very light on the salt, which i appreciate! The chicken was nicely grilled and tender. The bandeja paisa was very complete and the serving was big! The only thing i did not like was their flan, it was overcooked, it had a curdled texture, the sugar was burnt, and the flan had a crust on it which is most likely from being overcooked. The ambience was very nice, they had good music and i really liked the staff's uniform. Service was a 3/5, our server started off great and then she went missing for a good hour, the host had to help us out by giving us to go containers and had to call our server so she could give us the check. But she didnt check back with us, she handed the food over and didnt come back. I know things get hectic, but we wanted to go and could not.

I have been to this location a few times before. I decided to go here for lunch yesterday. Parking was slightly difficult to find being that it's a shared parking lot. In after having to wait a couple of minutes, I did manage to find an available parking spot. The service was very good that day, and the restaurant was slightly crowded as well. For lunch I decided to order their yellow rice with shrimps and fried green plantains to accompany the meal. It also came with a tiny salad as well, which was fresh and very good too. I also love their various grilled meat selections. They grill it very well. I'm definitely returning here soon, because I love various types of grilled meats.

A spur of the moment decision to eat at this tucked away restaurant was quite a delight. Walked in on a Friday night and was seated quickly. Our waiter, Cesar, was prompt and attentive. The menu is extensive but he helped to explain the details. We ordered empanadas and we're given the ability to choose 2 different types - went with Hawaiian and beef. Took a few minutes but were hot and delicious when they arrived. For mains, I chose Bandeja Paisa and my husband chose the butterfly NY strip. We both got red beans and rice as sides. I'm used to a little more spice in the red beans I like (but those are Cajun so understandable), but these were very well cooked and delicious in a different way. Overall an wonderful, spontaneous date night meal. We will be back!

This was my first time at Salento. Went with my manager and coworkers for lunch. The food was amazing. I ordered the combination and everything was delicious. So much food I couldn't eat it all. The server was attentive and the restaurant was clean and spacious. You can't go wrong going to Salento. Will definitely go back.

This place is phenomenal! The food was absolutely amazing and my fiancé and I were highly impressed with the level of service, quality of food, and the menu prices. We appreciated that the ambiance wasn't super upscale, which allowed for more casual dining experience while still receiving high-quality food and service. We had the empanadas and the Salento special!

A friend invited me here for my birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant . The customer service was great. My steak was grilled perfectly and not overly seasoned. My sides complimented my steak. Definitely Traditional Colombian steakhouse.

Excellent! Did not expect to find a superb steakhouse in a strip mall. This is an absolute must-try. They are a little different if you are unfamiliar with South American steakhouses. They have skirt steak and short ribs on the menu, which are not generally found at an American steakhouse. Some of the cuts are similar to those in America, but are served and prepared differently. The service is top notch, which is expected in a high end steakhouse. I would absolutely positively go again. Try the beans.

I come here every chance I get! The arepas are so wonderful, but my absolutely favorite thing on the menu is the burger where they use large plantains instead of buns--it's a mess, but a delicious mess. Pictured is the Marinara Combination, which was so fresh and is perfect for sharing (or not). Even the menu is an experience and feels like an elaborate picture book. It's definitely worth the splurge!

I'm from Miami where good Latin food is basically on every corner fighting for your attention so my expectations were HIGH. I decided to gamble on DoorDash and stumbled across this Colombian spot. Dear Jesus what have I been missing? First, I ordered the tostones with chicharrón and let me tell you those pork pieces were crunching louder than my knees getting out of bed in the morning. Absolutely amazing. Then came the breakfast plate with rice and beans, scrambled eggs, and steak. That steak was so good I almost stood up in my hotel room and started singing romantic Spanish ballads to the container. At this point, I'm not even ashamed to admit I'm probably ordering from this same place again tomorrow and maybe the next day too while I'm here working. The delivery driver is about to know me by first name. 100% recommended. Whoever is cooking back there deserves a raise and possibly a vacation.

The guac with chicharrones and tostones was my favorite out of everything, crispy chicharron, crispy tostones and a very creamy guac that was to die for! The delicias plate was a smaller portion of the bandeja paisa and it was perfect without being too much. Loved it!
