What a wonderful experience! We came here on a whim and weren't disappointed. The restaurant was cozy, yet professional, especially for a building in a strip mall. The complimentary rolls were nice and fluffy. We would have loved to dip them in some sort of olive oil/butter blend, but they were still delicious on their own. The waiter was attentive and professional, giving us great insight when making our choices, specifically for dessert. We eventually decided on the mozzarella della casa as an appetizer, which was delicious and gave us reminiscent Rome vibes. It was most similar to a caprese with the addition of fire roasted tomatoes and peppers. We split our entrees, which were just as good. The linguine carbonara and pasta combo were huge portions. Excellent value for the money. For dessert we had a decadent cannoli and a limoncello, which stole the show. Overall this was the closest we got to real Italian cuisine in years. It definitely reminded us of some of the meals we had in Rome and Florence. We're excited to come back! read more

Cute hidden place on Phillips highway. Grabbed a bite before a movie. Clean and as you can see upscale ambiance with a relaxed atmosphere. The bread was delicious. Crunchy and airy. It came with dipping oil. We ordered a 16" pizza. Half was Leci's -Ricotta, pesto and red peppers and the other half was marghertia. The prices were reasonable and we would go back. Went to check out Leci's Italian Cafe place last night for the first time. The ambiance was cozy. Online it said they closed at 8pm on Sundays but they confirmed in person they close at 9pm because we were there close to 8pm. We ordered the calamari, shrimp cacciatori, and veal parmesan. Good portions but overall nothing special with the dishes. The shrimp cacciatore was indeed the best out of the 2 entrees. read more

Absolutely delicious!!! Izmena waited on us and was so kind! Ordered Yummy and Fresh homeade bruschetta- loaded with mozzarella on fresh bread basted with balsamic drizzle and basil! Mmm! Hubby had Linguine Carbonara and I had the Lecis special with manicotti, the best chicken parm I've eaten in 25 years and fettuccine Alfredo. My wife and I were looking to try a spot we haven't been to and Leci's Italian came to mind. As usual, we checked out the menu online to be prepared. I went for the Veal Piccata with spaghetti as I love the lemony flavors of the dish. My wife chose the Chicken Parmigiana paired with spaghetti upgraded to meat sauce. We also added a side of meatballs. The food arrived promptly, but my piccata was lacking that lemony punch I was expecting. I had to ask for some lemon wedges to add a bit of juice. I did sneak a bite of my wife's chicken parm and it was delicious. The meatballs were a great addition too. Service was excellent, though I did notice that the bill didn't match the prices listed on the menu. Maybe the prices have increased, but they haven't updated the menu yet? We stopped in for a quick bite before we hit a movie. Was not expecting much for a small strip mall restaurant....well were we surprised. The waitress was fabulous and took good care of us. The menu was full of Italian standards and good prices. The restaurant was clean with a bar and daily afternoon buffet. Excellent spot for quick Italian dinner. My Bestfriend and I tried this place on a Tuesday night and it's been one of the top three Italian restaurants I've tried in Jacksonville. The food was amazing. We tried lasagna, chicken parm, baked ziti, fettuccine Alfredo, Cesar salad, and their signature garlic bread. Literally everything we tried was great (which was clearly a lot for a table of two). The waitress was very kind and checked on us often. The food arrived in a reasonably fast time. I found this place out of the blue. Welcoming with a kind smile and seated. I made it to the buffet with about half an hour to spare. There's a salad bar if you choose. They have a pizza, stuffed cheese bread and about 7 dishes to choose from. The first was the lasagna. I personally like a little more meat and sauce with mine, but it was a good tasting dish. They had Chicken Marsala that was tasty with the chicken tender to cut with your fork. The Chicken Francese is divine. So tasty with the sauce done to perfection. There was tortellini in an alfredo sauce, it was good. I appreciate the cooked vegetables. Yummy and tasty cooked as veggies should be. I tasted the meatballs and they too were good. Old school Italian vibes here! We had a lovely dinner on a Friday night coming in about 7:30 they weren't too busy and we got a table easily. This is the kinda place where they treat you like family, like older couples coming in for their weekly Italian night ( puppy dog eyes) lol We got a few dishes, see pics and enjoyed everything! Leci's Italian Cafe is located on Philips Highway in a rather nondescript strip mall on the southside of Jacksonville, Florida. We went in on a Wednesday afternoon at approximately four o'clock in the afternoon and the restaurant was empty of customers except for us and the staff. Our server was extremely friendly and professional. She took our order. I opted to start with their cheesy garlic bread and for my entree, I went with veal parmigiana. The cheesy garlic bread was okay, but the garlic bread they brought with our meals was very good. It was much better than the cheesy garlic bread that I had for my appetizer. The veal parmigiana was also good. I also asked for my sauce to be spicy and I have to say that I enjoyed my meal. As an added bonus, they had a happy hour going on when we got in there that gave us ten percent off our total bill. Shoutout to Yelp Elite Karen H. for reviewing this place and posting photos of her takeout order! It looked delicious and is nearby to where I live so I bookmarked it a few months ago. We recently wanted some homestyle Italian food without having time to cook for a lazy and cold night in. I remembered Leci's and browsed the menu and their Yelp page. We called in the order and it was quick and easy. I ordered the eggplant parm based on the rave reviews and it came with my choice of pasta. I got it with fettuccine and a side salad with their homemade Italian dressing. My boyfriend got the lasagna (which was HUGE) with a caesar salad. We also shared a slice of tiramisu. Our total was only about $45 and we each got 2 full meals out of it. We are now big fans! The eggplant parm was so good and we both liked the sauce. This reminds us of one of our favorite old school Italian restaurants in Pittsburgh. So glad to know we have an affordable and delicious spot for takeout nearby. I ordered through uber eats because my car is in the shop. I am new to the area and was looking for a good seafood pasta. And Leci's did not disappoint! I got the shrimp and scallops alla Rosa, the shrimp and scallops were huge and perfectly cooked and the sauce was so flavorful and not too heavy. It was really delicious and plenty of leftovers for lunch today. Also got the Caesar salad and I am obsessed with the dressing. I wonder if they make it homemade had a nice herb taste to it. I would have never thought this was Ron DeSantis's hometown (2 of 2) - - - - - Other than Miami and Miami Beach, Florida's other main cities seem to have places that have Italian lunch buffets and Jacksonville is no exception. The one place that came to mind was Gubbio's, which I've patronized more than once, and which is now closed. Gubbio's was a funny place, with a wooden planked deck you walked up to and whatnot and a hilarious prerecorded message making you think you were headed to the Bellagio that played on its website and that added to its quirkiness. I had to find another such place and I was able to. Enter Leci's. They do offer that Floridian lunch buffet, as well as pasta and pizza off the menu. Unlike Gubbio's, Leci's sits in a more modern strip mall. It is very easy to reach. You simply drive along I-95, swing onto Philips Highway, and, in a short while, you'll be there. Yes, you can have more upscale cuisine that gets a 2 or a 3 and then have a more casual place, like this, that gets a 4. It's all about checking the boxes and just exactly how those boxes are checked. Here, for a fair price, you get pasta, pizza, a chicken or meat dish, and salad to which you help yourself. The drink will be extra, but will also be fairly priced. In this toasty area, it's either a cold soft drink or iced tea for me and they'll refill it. Locals who work in the area seem to show up for this buffet event. Note that the pasta and main chicken/meat dish rotate based on the day of the week (Monday through Friday). Lastly, the service was very casual and friendly. The owner was on hand and is a pleasant person. That said, I ate at Leci's (for the lunch buffet) twice in less than a week. read more

We had a late lunch yesterday and everything was very good. We were immediately greeted by a very polite gentleman. The restaurant seemed very clean and a nice atmosphere. As soon as he seated us our waiter took our drink orders. The menu is extensive so making a choice is difficult. I started with the minestrone soup. It was a very heavy tomato sauce base, but an excellent flavor. Their garlic rolls are the really good big ones the previous owners had 10 years ago. A side of pasta with meat sauce is huge. The equivalent to a full size entree most places. We also had the Philly cheesesteak with fries. Our waiter was attentive throughout the meal keeping our drinks full. Their recommendations are spot on, and they know the menus like the back of their hands. The food, well, there are no words to describe how outstanding the food is! Not once have I ever had something that I did not fall in love with that I say I'm going to get again. This time I did try something different and that was chicken Parmesan, however, rather than red sauce, I asked them to use the garlic and olive oil. They had no qualms accommodating my request, and I have to say it was outstanding! Now I am torn because next time I go, I'm gonna wanna get the same thing, but I've learned that I've got to get outside the box because there are so many wonderful dishes on their menu that I don't want to deprive myself opportunities to love something even more next time.
