ordered over door dash food was so gross and they put in the ingredients I didn't ask for

Did anyone experience stomach pain today? I am in excruciating pain right now. I had a burger for lunch and sweet potato fries.

I don't allow myself fast food burger & fries more than once or twice a year. For many years it's been In & Out. I recently saw a nationwide Consumer Report's survey showing Habit Burger came in first with In & Out second. I figured I'd give it a shot. I tried to replicate a double double so I got the double char cheeseburger and fries. The first bite of that burger was an instant hit of smoky flavor and quality beef. The burger was every bit as good as In & Out as far as quality. The kicker was that smoky char taste. For me, that put it ahead of In & Out. My experiment told me this; the fries are at least as good, the burgers better and if my full stomach was correct, the portions are bigger than In & Out. I also had to try the onion rings that In & Out doesn't have, they were excellent. In & Out will probably never see me again. My only problem now is keeping to my once or twice a year regimen. read more

Ordering from the Habit was a breeze, online ordering is available and pick-up is available within not much more than 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the Habit is nestled in a parking lot a long, LONG way from where we currently live, and it was a hassle to get to, to find, and to get the hell OUT of... We became very lost and the whole trip took almost an hour, itself. Granted, it felt worth it. The burgers were stellar, and gotta love those Idaho potato fries. (We are moving back to Idaho in just a matter of days.) Wish it had been more convenient, super yummy, totally inexpensive for the portion size. Wish they'd offer a side of fries with every burger, bet they'd get more business that way! I visit this location every so often and its not the best. They've messed up on my order twice with in 3 months. How do you forget to put bacon and avocado in the club sandwich, I guess with its operated by teens and people who don't care what can I expect? The food services are excellent, but the bathrooms were filthy. Overflowing trash cans and toilet paper all over the floor. The 1 bath needs the exhaust fan serviced n also the toilet requires the handle held down for it to flush. The employee's were told about the conditions. As I was seated for about 30 minutes and I seen 1 person go into the other bathroom with 1 roll toilet paper. No gloves or cleaning solution was seen to be used. read more

Living in the area, I frequent this spot periodically. It all starts with a call to their customer service center , where the customer service rep recognize's my phone number and order history. Within' minutes my #2 double char burger is getting ready to be thrown on the grill and assembled. I'm told to walk up to the pickup counter upon my arrival in 10 minutes. Once I arrive, I avoid all the hassle and hungry customers and am back in my car within another 10 minutes. The food, as usual looks delicious and meticulously prepared (in my experience). The bun is not soggy, the lettuce crisp and green ,and meat throughly cooked. Overall, a solid meal and great customer service for under 10$. 5/5 read more

Food was sub par, possibly because my pick up order was supposed to be ready at 11:30am but I didn't get my food till 11:50 after my burger and fries had been sitting for 20 minutes, but most importantly the customer service was straight fugazy. Don't come here unless you wanted to be treated like ordering food and giving this establishment your money is an inconvenience to all the employees. If you hate your job quit and don't make the experience for all the customers who support your business uncomfortable and feeling awkward. Won't be giving this place my business ever again read more

when it comes to fast food hamburgers in oxnard its either in n out or The habit. The double char burger is Awesome, plain and simple. Its what a burger should be. Also they have onion rings which are really good for fast food. Everything taste fresh and I have never had any problems with food I have ordered. This place never fails, I love in n out but consistency can very, by that I mean sometimes the burgers are just sloppy, but I have never had this problem at Habit. All in all one of the best burger places in Oxnard and you wont be disappointed read more

I went here for dinner because it was right next to the hotel I was staying at. I bought a chicken bbq sandwich with fries and a drink, it came out to $10.00. My favorite burger joint in the area for sure. Everytime I go there it's always a treat. This is what a burger should taste like in my humble opinion. The employees are always nice and ready to help. I try to go before noon because it get very busy at lunch time but when I do go at noon the short wait is worth it. There is plenty of parking also. read more

Since moving to the area we've been on the hunt for THEE burger joint, a charbroiled big juicy burger place. After asking around a co-worker recommended The Habit. It was good but definitely not what we had in mind. It was just your typical everyday burger and fries, nothing special. They were o.k but we probably won't be back anytime soon. read more

This review is regarding the manager not so much the food. I've eaten at this Habit for many years & have always enjoyed the experience. Today, December 9, is the exception and most likely my last visit. I asked my husband to order me a mushroom char (sells for $4.50) but with a veggie burger instead of the meat burger. My husband was charged $2.00 extra for the veggie burger. (Total of $6.50.) When I questioned the manager why the extra $2 I was told the veggie burger is more expensive. I questioned that cost and I said at that cost I should have ordered a regular char burger & just the veggie patty on the side & switched the meat out myself. (Incidently she told me that cost would be $2.15 to do that. She was very rude and told me she would give me the meat burger on the side this time but next time I would be charged more. Checking, the cost of adding mushrooms to the veggie burger would be an additional charge of $1 and the veggie burger sells for $4.95. Why nickle & dime your customers? "A person can bend over to pick up a nickle while a dollar bill flies over your head". Or in my case many $$$ because I won't support rude management with my business. Not a money issue but a relations issue. However on the bright side my dog did enjoy the burger patty! read more

This is my third time at a Habit and I'm just not a fan. I'm a vegetarian so I get the veggie burger. The flavor is just ok and both times it's totally fallen apart into a huge mess. The servings of fries & onion rings were pretty sparse. My kids finished them off in seconds. Kinda disappointed. read more

I went here with my wife and man it's been awhile! My wife had the Char burger with the sweet potato fries which she liked. Then I had the Pastrami sandwich on sour dough and I love it! I haven't had a pastrami sandwich in a year and this hit the spot. The Char burgers and pastrami sandwich are my go to meals. read more

I have been remiss for not calling out this Habit Burger Grill on Vineyard in Oxnard before now. For quite a long time now whenever my wife and I have a craving for a good hamburger the first place that comes to mind is this restaurant. Fresh ingredients, each one made to order, absolutely delicious with out fail and to top it off superb and professional staff. Even though each order is made specifically for you the wait time is very negligible. And lest you think the only thing they offer are superb hamburgers you have to take a few minutes to study their menu. From Mahi Mahi sandwiches on a variety of breads to fresh crisp salads they have a great variety. And for a real treat try one of the ice cream cones or sundaes. Another thing I'd like to commend they for is their cleanliness. You will be hard pressed to find another restaurant that is kept as meticulously clean as this one. Truly impressive.
