I've visited this location a couple times, and it's been just ok each time. I personally don't like when menu photos promote a dish a certain way, and then it comes to my table and looks nothing like the photo in regards to presentation and portion sizes. Last night, my bf and I ordered the apple pie crisp and the ice cream was practically melted, not centered in the dish, and the amount of crumble was not filling the whole dish. Felt like the chef skimped and got lazy. We will still return. Just disappointed in portion sizes with this location because that's the main issue I have usually. read more

Came here with Chooksedo Sam and Nima. Loved the service here! They paid attention to the little details like filling up half filled water cups, asking for menu back to order more, etc. It was so attentive of them to put that much effort into our table. Got the street corn cup and it was good. Wish that there was more like. Also got the macaroni and cheese side, but it was Tootoo cheesy that it overwhelmed me with the saltiness from the different types of cheese. It was all just too much. But, I love the scattered TVs and the mini ones with the different activities to do on them. This location is located right next to 680 on the berryessa exit. Usually fast service here! We tried the new chocolate cinnamon shake for the first time and it was good, very cinnamon forward! I always get the Crazy Spicky Skillet it is so good! It comes with chicken, chorizo, jalapeños, potatoes, and mushrooms! Our waiter was patient however he could use a bit of some help to be a little more successful with servicing our table of 11. Upon bringing our food. The t bone steak was not cooked to our preference. The fish n chips was absolutely burnt and apparently from the manager there is nothing extra to do as the air fryer is timed and that's how it's served. Completely burnt Besides a terrible service and experience. This place could totally benefit from a real supervisor that can lead and prep servers n kitchen folks to succeed. This is the Denny's where Nvidia was founded. We came here on a weekday morning for an early breakfast. Thankfully they're open 24 hours. The server was very kind and gave us unlimited coffee refills. She was very welcome to chatting about how Nvidia came to be at this very restaurant. Order the grand slam breakfast, A salmon main, and grilled cheese sandwich with fries. The portions are very generous and prices are affordable. The grilled cheese seemed like it was cooked on bad oil, but otherwise everything tasted good. I like that the pancakes were very fluffy. I just had dinner here yesterday. Food wasn't terrible. I would have given it 3-4 stars just based off that. I'm giving it one star because of our server. I don't like it when orders are taken without it being written down. Why risk getting the order wrong? I'm not impressed if you get it right without writing it down. Also, when I tried to make substitutions on my order, he stopped me from making them. I should have been able to. How do I know this? The official website allows me to. I didn't want hash browns and toast, I wanted potatoes and pancakes. The person taking our order wouldn't let me make substitutions. I've been going to this Denny's since I was a child. They updated and remodeled interior. I usually go here later in the evening. It gets busy and they are limited with waiters/waitress. They do their best and the service is quick. I still love the OG plates like The Club, Chicken Fried Steak and Grand Slams and their Garden Salad is still my go to with Ranch dressing. The parking lot is well lit also. read more

This may not be THE place when it comes to quality eats but it does the job when you're hungry. Conveniently opened 24/7, my visits tend to be late late night/early morning. Service is guaranteed to be welcoming but depending on the staff, food can take a bit longer than others. While the food being served is always 50/50 when it comes to satisfactory, the zesty nachos always comes out flawlessly. Haven't been in years and my expectations were pretty low given how many stars this place had. Well, to my surprise we were greeted and seated within minutes. Our server, the older asian guy, was the only server but he was running around serving the whole place and did it very quickly and politely. We ordered fairly quick as well and we waited all of less than 10 mins and our food was here together. We never had to ask for extra things as he brought whatever we asked and he did it so fast while serving others and seating costumers at the same time. We order the standard breakfast stuff and our visit from seat to paying the bill was like in half hour. This was by far the fastest service and didn't seemed rushed. We caught the hostess walking by, and asked if we could get refills and napkins. She said okay, but brought only napkins, and we waited some more for refills on coffee and water. The hostess seemed a bit brusque, on the other hand our waiter was, quick and professional. I will drive a little further to the Alameda location, because the Newbury location is not as great, or team conscious as the other location.

We hit the Brunch hour and the place was rocking. We were able to sit right down amazingly. There is a fabulous patio to people watch and enjoy the California weather. Our server Charles was really great. He walked us through the menu giving us the 911 on watch to order. Most of the plates were perfect shareable bites. Making it easy to try multiple plates and really get your inner Foodie on. We started with the Seasonal Banana Pancakes with crushed walnuts and cinnamon maple syrup. Inside the pancakes were fresh bananas and the walnuts were crushed very small but added a great texture. Moving on to the Chicago Steak sandwich don't get confused but in Chicago they refer to Roast Beef as steak. The Au Jus dip was very flavorful without being a salt bomb. Loved the potato roll they used all round a killer sandwich. Going a little outside the box we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The pineapple slaw with this amazing peppery chutney type sauce played so well with the acid of the pineapple. Another must have sandwich. I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good. When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. For the price and quality, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.

Otherwise, Bloom was slightly lackluster for me. Nothing terrible, but I prefer Sweet Maple as a brunch spot.

Never go this place Racist! I didn't wanted to start my message with the word RASIST, but i have to do this because of todays experience. I was in the area with my wife and felt like dining at your restaurant, we were greeted at front desk and were offered a seat. We requested for a cup of coffee first. Server (ELIAS) served coffee and slice of toast without a tray, which he dumped it on the table rudely. First I thought this might be due to busy schedule. But I was wrong. Secondly while he was taking our order he treated us like we are ALIEN from other world and as we came inn by mistake. He brought our order on the table, I requested him for coffee refill,He took our cups and literally brought empty not even 1/4 of cup full, saying we ran out of coffee and he will bring more once it gets ready. I requested him to get some creamers and he left ignoring my request. I made eye contact with him to remind him that I asked him for creamers, but he ignored and kept on talking with his coworkers. We kept waiting for coffee and creamers for 30 min. which we never got, I called the manager (Maria) who came after 20 mins I told her whole matter. While this all was going on the Sever who was passing by around the table talking with co workers kept making funny faces and had no regret,as he did intentionally I have been to different locations with my kids and family, but this was most worst experience ever. read more

Denny's in general (regardless of the location) is just CRAP. That's all there is too it. It takes them at least 15 min for the workers to even acknowledge you when you walk in... Seriously, they act like it's a hardship to service their customers. I paid $45.00 for the worst bunch of food I've ever had. My daughter's Chef Salad, that made her so sick, she had runs all night. She was only 14 at the time, but complained that the meat and hard boiled eggs didn't taste very fresh, so I demanded a refund, but by that time the damage was already done. Then they charge about 6 bucks for onion rings. The onion rings were not beer-battered or gourmet in any way, shape or form! They looked and tasted like they were straight from the Oreida bag. And don't get me started on the COLD chicken strips, which tasted freezer-burned. Now, we all know that Denny's obviously uses store-bought, frozen and can foods, so at least be honest enough to charge below standard value!!! DAMN! For almost $50 bucks, I could have taken my 2 children and got a QUALITY meal from Chili's or AppleBee's!! Anyone who thinks they're gettin a good deal at Denny's, must have very low standards. Never again will I step foot into a Denny's Restaurant again. There are too many other good restaurants out there, to be playin around with this useless, dump of a franchise. read more

after a long week of dealing with the death of a loved one, just got done making funeral services for her, we decided to stop by and have breakfast here at denny's ... but that was a great mistake... out waitress rocio was so rude... yes we had a baby with us that was crying but working in a family restaurant you would expect that ... she was so rude making faces to the baby .... even making noises of how she was annoyed... we tried to order a side of pancakes and she said not we can't.... this lady thinks she is the main waitress there i have been going there for years... never had a problem like this.... but one thing is for sure i will never let her wait on us and thank god they have great waitresses like yuri & juana and more... so if you ever go there make sure you stay away from her.... and no i did not leave her a tip... you get tipped in my view for how you treat your customers... oh and besides that i have never been charged for ranch that should go with the food until today. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. Last month I walked out after sitting 20 mins. without being addressed, today after waiting 45 mins (11:47) for my meal, I called only to be addressed by the "General Manager" who was animate that they do not deliver so I cannot possibly be upset that may meal is not here. They passed the order to DOORDASH who texted me at 11:07, stating they were in route, I was less then 5 mins away. Well off to Hazel's to get a BLT from there. PHYSICAL ABUSE BY DENNY'S STAFF-------- The other day at Denny's a 60 year old homeless woman came inside the restaurant. One of the staff members spoke with the homeless woman and before anyone knew it he had grabbed her by the arm. She started telling him to let go of her arm and when she turned to walk away he punched her square in the back. Then everyone went back to eating and that person went back to work and management did nothing about it. Not only does it enrage and disgust me that someone would abuse another human being like that, but it also makes me realize that my lack of faith in humanity is not misplaced based on the fact that the management of this establishment did nothing to remprimand (or call the police, or fire) the staff member who hit a woman in the back. read more

There's nothing else open at 3AM. If you need to buy a water bottle in the middle of the night, go to Denny's for a free water cup or two, and spend the money you would have spent on the value menu, instead, or a delicious Slammin' Soda made with Sprite & Strawberry for the same price as a water bottle. $6 for 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 1 sausage and 1 bacon is way better than a large bag of chips and a bottled water. Better yet? Being greeted by a super charismatic, friendly, energetic, genuine, and kind server known as Sanh. I had no idea I was going to leave with a huge smile on my face and positive energy from buying water at 3AM. He makes me want to come back. When does he work? This is my new late night spot -- forget convenience stores! read more
