We had to take a phone for repair a few doors down so we came here while we waited for that. We had a GREAT meal. These are like, the smash style patties so they have that nice crispy edge to them. I got mine just the way I like it; swiss, tomatoes,avocado and mustard. Also tried the onion rings. And they had Stubborn Root Beer (YUM!!) the burger was really good, just the right size. Onion rings were a good, perfectly serviceable battered rings, but a little salty. Partner had a breakfast sandwich and LOVED adding their special hot sauce mix to it. He said it was a little unwieldy to pick up and eat sandwich style, but tasty nonetheless. The inside was clean, but the seating was sparse. However, the outside seating was very good, and a great place to people watch. My only real complaint is the medu ordering screens were hard to navigate, since the only place to "grab" the screen for scrolling was over easily clickable burger options, so going through the customisation list was like accidentally ordering MANY toppings I did not want and then having to carefully go back up and unselect them and then try not to re-select them on the way back down. He had such a welcoming, amiable quality naming the other fellow smash burger joints in the area that he himself would recommend trying. It was then that we learned about his use of New School American Cheese, which they use for the burgers. This American cheese aspires to use premium quality ingredients that allow for a sexy melt that oozes on the smash burgers in an unprocessed sort of way. I find this to be a critical decision, and is one of the reasons why I continue to go here! But my review today really has to be for the Jumbo Ripper which I ordered with the tater tots. These smash burgers are pretty damn good and the tallow fries are the icing on the cake for me. Been here with my family and tried their 1/4 lb burger with their tallow fries. I thought it was good but I wasn't sure if it was worth coming back. The burger felt underwhelming. The meat patty was huge being bigger than bun. I know Tallow fries are much better for you compared to other oils so I love that they were crisp to perfection! I recently came back when attending the Dom Dolla takeover at San Jose City Hall. At the concert, we were getting a little bored and wanted to eat so Sixth Street burgers were surprisingly open. They organized the line differently and their wait time wasn't bad at all for your order. I got the 1/2 lb burger with tallow fries, and it hit a bit more than the other time. The quality of beef is very good. To enhance the flavors they have many different ranch sauces that include jalapeño ranch and chipotle ranch. Sixth Street Burger also has their own orange sauce that really takes the burger to the next level. The onion rings and milk shake were solid. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. As any lover of ranch will know, there is good ranch and bad ranch for dipping fries, and I'm pleased to report that Sixth Street Burger serves great good ranch. From top to bottom the meal was solid and I left without a single complaint. Beyond the food itself, the service was some of the best I've experienced in a while. Workers stopped by our table multiple times to check in and see if we needed anything, to offer drink refills and hot sauce, etc. It was a level of service you would expect from a nice sit-down restaurant, not a counter-service burger joint but it was greatly appreciated. I can see that I'm not the only one excited about Sixth Street Burger as it got pretty packed, even before noon on a random Tuesday. The atmosphere is super casual, no frills with a menu stacked full of shakes, appetizers/sides to share, and mouth watering smash burger options. Right as you enter, you'll see kiosks on the right hand side which makes ordering a breeze. If you need to pay cash, I believe you can pay at the cashier as well. You'll need to find street parking nearby. Luckily the meters nearby are quite affordable at about $1-$2 per hour. The unhoused people outside can be aggressive so I would recommend coming during daylight if you're a solo diner. Smashburger - The meat patty was juicy although being thin in size. As far as seasoning goes, it was VERY well seasoned. Like to the point where is was too salty especially drenched in their housemade sauce and pickles. Bun was pillowy soft and delicious on its own. Overall, the burger was salty but not enough for me to stop eating. I just had to gulf down a few cups of water. Onion rings - Super crispy, tender sweet onions inside. Paired perfectly with the ranch. Highly recommend! French fries - Addictive in flavor and unique in taste being fried in tallow fat. My only note is to put less salt on their meat patties. Other than that, everything else is great! Sides are equally as good as the burger itself. The meal is quite filling and so much more satisfying than an in n out burger since the quantity is much more and the options are much better here. Interior is sparkling clean and the servers are so friendly and outgoing. The fries were good, the onion rings were good, and the shakes were a 10 out of 10--absolutely incredible. The tater tots were so nostalgic and really hit the spot. Honestly, we enjoyed everything we ordered. The burgers are very filling. I only ate half of mine and took the rest home. The next day I had it for breakfast and it was still amazing.
