The drinks were well crafted, and tasty. The food... the flavors were amazing! My date ordered the bowl. Every ingredient perfectly cooked, and executed! Never had anything like it. I had a pork belly taco & flautas. Amazing! No joke. The pork belly was so delicious & cooked to perfection. The flautas were really tasty, but I wish they wouldn't serve it over a bed of sauce. We spent a weekend in Atlanta and were in the mood for some reggaeton, so we walked over from a nearby lunch spot to check this place out. We had already eaten so we were just looking for tasty drinks and a fun vibe. We didn't have reservations, which seemed to be an issue when we first arrived. I completely understand that it was Mother's Day, but it was already after 2:00pm and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were repeatedly told that it would get busier later for brunch service. Once seated, we quickly ordered drinks. The music was good, but there wasn't much reggaeton playing at first. After a quick chat with the DJ, the vibe completely changed. We were treated to a fun set featuring Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny, Ivy Queen, and several other great mixes. That definitely elevated the experience and made for a really enjoyable afternoon. The main downside was the service, which felt a bit unfriendly. I noticed other tables receiving pitchers of water, so I asked for some as well. Instead, we were brought a bottle of Fiji. When we asked for the pitcher instead, we were told it was only available for guests ordering brunch. Since we had each ordered multiple drinks, the policy felt a little odd. We knew someone and they said we can get a "VIP" section which was the first time I've seen a VIP section slightly off to the side with no barriers and just a table and a few chairs. Nevertheless, the music was popping. It was mostly perreo y reggaeton. Bathrooms are in the back right corner and the line was dumb long. Dance floor was alright. Mostly people posted up. Felt like high school all over again. Be ready to climb some stairs to get to it. It's not a ton of stairs, 3ish flights of stairs, but after a few drinks, you can find yourself ending up sliding down it rather than walking. Nothing too spectacular in my opinion. I have been to Habitat quite a few times in the past, but they have all been in the evening. This time around, I came around 6pm on a Sunday. I came with my wife and two of our other friends. We just came for drinks, and ended up getting some things to snack on as well. We got the hummus and guacamole, and then two of us got some espresso martinis and the others got some vodka sodas with lime. The service was really good. Albeit, it was a Sunday late afternoon, so it wasn't too busy. The times when I have been on a Friday night, the service has been terrible. I am not too sure about parking here, as we Ubered. Though some people suggested garage parking, it's $12.75. I suggest parking "valet" for $10. Though I'm not sure why it's called valet because you park yourself. Waitress was amazing for the most part, I hate that I can't remember her name. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and made sure we were good. For food, we had guac, chicken tings costras (tacos), and the carne asada fries. The guac was great and fresh. The tacos were so tasty, but absolutely 100% overpriced for what you get. Cute decor and plenty of photo ops, but the overall vibe wasn't giving Tulum. The rooftop was somewhat mediocre. My friends introduced me to this rooftop gem in Buckhead. I loved the vibe! Our server was Jae and she was awesome (definitely ask for her when you go). They have Taco Tuesday and a happy hour that ends at 7 pm (I'm unsure if HH is daily throughout the week). My friend ordered a Texas margarita and I had the happy hour mango margarita. We added a shot to our drinks because the mango margarita had a little too much juice. We ordered the mezcal old fashioned and the coconut mojito next and loved them. The food...omg. We had the chicken tinga and shrimp tacos on flour tortillas (just in case you don't prefer corn tortillas) from the regular menu. They were soooo good - well seasoned, tasty and a good portion size. There are plenty of places around the rooftop for photo ops. I definitely recommend that you give it a try it when you're in the area. Minor negatives: There are only 2 restrooms. It wasn't a problem tonight because it wasn't very crowded because it was a Tuesday night but I could see it possibly being an issue on a busier night. Upon entry there's a security guard who frisks male patrons and checks the purses of female patrons. As someone who's dined all over the city/world, I've never experienced something like this outside of my club days in my younger years. I know times are different in the city but none of the other Buckhead restaurants that l frequent do it. This is an interesting place, for sure. First of all, the parking was $10. Then, it should be noted there is a dress code. My date was made to take off his hat and leave it with security who then gave him a pat down and requested him to leave his pocket knife as well. It wasn't until we were seated that this made any sense to us. They turn into a night club at 10PM. we came here for dinner and drinks with an 8:15 reservation time. We were disappointed in the table/seating. I do not feel the table is an appropriate dinner table. It was tiny and uneven. The uneven table actually resulted in a spilled drink. Expect drinks to be 15-20 per cocktail. Our entire tab was $104 for 3 cocktails, a soda, chorizo queso, 2 tacos, and carne asada fries. The steak was flavorful and the drinks were incredible. I learned I love mezcal. also, the chorizo queso had thick pieces of sausage. The costras were extremely greasy with the only redeeming quality being the steak. Overall, given the table was not a real dinner table, this was not a $120 experience. Maybe $75 AT BEST. I feel the experience was inflated due to location and "vibe". It is an instagrammable place for cocktails but I would not return here again for the kitchen because the prices do not reflect the fact that you will be leaning over a tiny coffee table, hoping queso doesn't drop in your lap. An appropriate name would be "BAR and Kitchen" not "kitchen and bar" because the tables are more for a bar environment instead of a nice dinner environment. 2/5 dinner experience** I'm sure it's fun to drink and dance here, but given this was a dinner reservation, I would've preferred a real dinner table for the overall dinner price of $130 total for two people (parking, drinks, food, and tip). Came here with a few friends for a girls night out. We had an odd initial experience but it got better. We made a reservation but were late so we were told we wouldnt have a seat. However, there were tons of empty seats. We talked to the hostesses and asked why we could sit at the empty seats and the stated that we could sit but we would receive service from a waitress which I thought was odd. Once we sat down a waitress came over anyway to serve us and let us know that one of her table had gotten up and we could sit at her table if we wanted. From there things got way better. I have visited Habitat multiple times over the years and always had a good experience--until my most recent visit on Friday, March 28, around 1:00 AM. My sister and I were waiting in line for the restroom, and as we were about to leave the women's restroom, two men suddenly forced their way in and aggressively tried to push us out. When I turned to confront them, one of the men physically assaulted me, slamming my head against the wall. What was even more disturbing was the complete lack of response from Habitat's staff. The restroom attendant, who witnessed the incident, did nothing to intervene or assist afterward. When I reported the assault to security at the front entrance, the guard remained seated and showed no interest in investigating. One staff member did accompany me back to the restroom in an attempt to locate the individuals, but they had already left. Given the severity of the incident, the indifference from both staff and security is unacceptable. This establishment failed to provide a safe environment for its patrons, and I strongly urge others to be cautious when visiting. I will not be returning, as I no longer feel safe at this venue. read more

The ceviche plate was very small and I don't think it should be considered an entree plate. It had oranges and tasted like orange juice. I wouldn't get it again. The cocktails were amazing as always. I had followed Habitat on Instagram for a while and it always looked like a vibe so when I got a chance to go I didn't hesitate. Me and a friend went on a Thursday night and honestly it wasn't too busy. There was probably about 20 people there total. I've heard that on the weekends it gets PACKED! The bar is a lot smaller then I was expecting, and there are only 2 bathrooms which I'm sure becomes a problem on a busy night. The aesthetics at Habitat are amazing it feels like you're in Tulum. Absolutely beautiful decor, the drinks are also top tier. I ordered margaritas the whole night, and they were all amazing. S/O to Chris! He knows what he's doing. The music was also great. This is my kind of spot! I joined a group here for some additional birthday shenanigans on a Sunday afternoon. The bar is located on the upper level so you do have to take stairs up. The walkway to the bar is decorated so cute( see video for reference). Upon walking in we were greeted by staff and given the option to pick from several sofa and table sections. We opted for the one furthest away from the entrance. We were a group of 7 and were comfortable sitting in this section. Our wait staff was stellar. She provided each of us with the menu on our phones. She was also happy to offer both drink and food suggestions. We did have to wait until l5pm to place food orders, but we were able to order the salsa, guacamole and chips prior to 5pm. Several people with my group ordered alcoholic drinks. Everyone loved the ones they had. Some suggestions from the group would be the CARAJILLO, CHUKUM, snd CHAMAN. However, I have a feeling that you can't go wrong with any of the cocktails. The guacamole, salsa, and chips are A++++!! I ordered the Chicken Tinga Costras. The description for Costras is Corn tortilla, cheese crust and salsa (2 per order. The description for the Chicken Tinga is Chipotle marinated chicken, lettuce, crema, salsa verde. Essentially these are chicken tacos inside of a cheese taco shell! When I tell you that the tacos are everything I was told they would be!!! Parking: the parking lot in front is tiny and was coned off when we arrived (valet only), so we parked in the garage across the street and paid for parking. RACISM & DISCRIMITION REVIEW I visited Habitat on a Thursday- ladies night, depending on who the lady is. This would have been my second time within the same month attending on ladies night. Both times I sat at the bar and was serviced by a male bartender by the name of DAVID. This time I brought a guest with me. My guest ordered 2 food items, a shot, and a margarita with a flavor. She was notified it would be an upcharge, and that was not an issue. Once we finished dining, we asked to close out. They use the electronic machine that is brought to you to insert your card. My guest and I were paying cash for our separate tabs. Our complete individual totals were shown to us. My guest paid, I counted out cash + tip, and as I was handing the bartender the cash, he said, "Wait, I forgot to charge you for your margarita." I paused for a second not understanding how after receiving a final total, literally in the process of holding the cash out for you to take from my hand! He begins to say that he forgot to add the margaritas on both tabs, but since he already took the cash out of my guest's hand and not mine, he can go back and add it to my tab. He proceeds to say, "I could add go back and charge your friend for her drink but I'm going to be nice and not, but you have to pay for yours." I immediately understood at that point that this was personal! I asked to speak to the manager, JOSHUA. While explaining myself, the bartender continues to insert himself into the conversation. "SHE HAS TO PAY FOR HER DRINK! YEAH, I FORGET! BUT I REMEMBERED BEFORE I TOOK THE MONEY OUT OF HER HAND! I COULD STILL MAKE YOUR FRIEND PAY, BUT I DIDN'T! The manager then says I have to pay or give the drink back. I did just that, once I returned the drink I explained how hurt I was from the boldly blunt racist discrimination. Being that that WHITE guest that was with me was not charged, did not pay for her drink that was more expensive than mine, and was still able to keep her drink. While I, a BLACK woman is being told to pay or be forced to have my drink taken. Once the manager clearly understood the blatant unfairness, he then told the bartender to return the drink to me because they as a restaurant can not do that. About allowing one customer to benefit from the bartender's mistake. The bartender proceeds to say, "I don't see how this is right to let her have the drink. " I was shocked to see an employee questioning the manager's final call in front of a customer. I appreciate the manager acknowledging the discrimination and correcting it in the end. I was very hurt by the whole situation, but like I said this is my second time within the same month that I have come to the bar. While there, this same bartender DAVID, serviced me and a few others at the bar. Offered all those at the bar a shot, including himself, while excluding me. I don't in any way ever expect anything free so I did not see any issue, but upon this last visit, he made a mistake but going out of his way to ensure that the other patron received a comp item and not me. Was just disrespectful. I have been coming to Habitat for years, since the first week they opened, and used to enjoy the establishment, but after the treatment in the last 2 visits. Was looking for a rooftop to have a dinner out for my nephews 35th birthday. Came here on a Thursday night around 7pm and it was a slow night. As soon as we walked in, we were seated right away. With it being a slow night with not many tables, the server seemed to take a while to come over to the table. We ordered drinks and appetizers and once the appetizer came out, we ordered our entrees. Once we got our entrees, the server didn't come back to check on us. We had to flag her down to order additional drinks and again flag her down for our check. The food was absolutely delicious. The flavor combinations of the dishes were very unexpected in a great way. There was a DJ and he was playing some great music to vibe to. The ambiance and decor had a great feel. If you are looking for a rooftop with a view, this is not the place. It's on the second story of the building and there isn't much of a view. read more

This place is cute .. it has a weird electic vibe. But once you're drinking you get into the groove a little So we arrive around 9 and was told by the hostess dinner is no longer being served and she seated us outside in the egg chair until around 10 and told us it's reserved and we had to stand at the bar the entire night while my feet hurt. We got served by this nice bartender named Chris he was knowledgeable about his tequilas however those drinks were super overpriced not even in NY where I'm from charges that much. Ooo let me not forget to mention these 2 bathroom they have going on the line for the bathroom is by entrance/exit. You can die before you use the bathroom. I've been here a few times during late-night weekend hours. Overall, I'd say the drinks are pretty okay, mediocre for the price. The music and vibe is good, but getting a drink at the bar is a nightmare! read more
