I've been meaning to get here and finally did on a rainy Friday night about 8:45 PM. Perhaps that's why the vibes and energy was low? Parking is free in their lot but it's not a ton of spaces. I'd arrive early or ride share. There's an officer checking IDs and purses at the door. It's giving club but that's standard now in Atlanta. We were greeted by a hostess but opted to sit at the bar. The DJ was playing music and there were a few other patrons there. We ordered the Friday Night Flights (4 frozen drinks for $20), wings and a cocktail. The wings were small, on the greasy side and didn't really taste like lemon pepper seasoning was added. The frozen drinks were good (as expected) however the Pina Colada machine was broken and another drink wasn't available but on the menu. This took away some points. Problem.... limited parking, eventhough it does have its own parking lot, it's small. The location is cool, it can be difficult if you come from the wrong way. Let's finally make it inside. They do have outside seating, in the front. It is a decent size inside. There is table, booth, and bar seating. They do have a full bar. It is a daiquiri bar we know, so plenty of flavors to choose from and you can mix it up. I had a flight, I let the bartender pick and she did good! No I don't know my flavors...smh! Me and 3 friends sat at the bar. I liked how the had a decorated Christmas tree by the front door. We were greeted as soon as we came in the door. Once sat down a bartender came and asked had we been here before, which we had not. She told us what drinks were available and ready to drink. We were a little disappointed because it was a Friday even after 8pm and they had some our favorite Daiquiris flavor not ready. They made it up with free taste test of some of the others they did. Where to even start... well let's look at the positives: It's bigger on the inside. If you look at my profile you'll see that a 1 -2 star is not common for me. I try to be realistic and understand that sometimes, a place just isn't for me. And I feel like this is one of those spaces. Servers are inattentive (she just went back to her hookah, others on their laptops) and seem inexperienced (I'm asking about the flavor not the "strength" of the mixes) , food (had the shrimp and they were really good... came out super fast) and drink is expensive, it's too dark, the decor is a choice and the music is just too loud. Like sure crank it after 9pm but at like 7pm it was a lot to take in. And hookah... I need my people free. If you really want daiquiris and don't want to go to the battery to Fat Tuesdays, then this won't really hurt but just drink your drink and leave cause I can't imagine being here for more than 30 minutes. I wasn't crazy about the zucchini sticks. The drinks were decent. Make sure your expectations are low when you come here. We love free parking, this spot has free parking and a good happy hour. Got daiquiris for $5 or $6 I forgot which price but they were good along with $3 well shots which I wouldn't do again I'd stick with a daquiri. The menu has the strength level of them and it's easy to mix and match. The service was good, my friend had good wings and fries. Huge portion and yummy seasoned fried, but my partner said the fried fish sandwich was a bit too dry. We both agreed that the fries were great. We went in on Sunday around 1:30 and it was empty. Staff was super attentive and our food came out quickly. It was also FREEZING in there! Overall, a cool place to get some frozen drinks and catch up with friends, but I'd be mindful on what food options to select. Saw this spot in our way to our original location and decided to circle back after we done. Good decision. We sat at the bar and Ben was great! They let you sample as many flavors as you want before you make your decision. I opted for the DUI with Sour Apple. I'm not a huge fan of frozen drinks but it was good. The food menu seemed to have a good selection. All the dishes we saw come out looked good but we didn't have any. Vegan options are limited to a few side selections. Many years ago I used to go to the Original Daiquiri Factory in Midtown so I was curious when I learned that this location had popped up in recent times. Went early one afternoon and it wasn't too packed and the spot wasn't filled with hookah smoke so we were off to a good start. Sat at the bar and ordered a daiquiri to drink and the crab legs to eat. I like that they have a variety of flavors and they let you mix flavors for the daiquiri so you can get the perfect combination of your choosing. The crab legs were tasty but could have had a little more seasoning added to them while cooking. The bartender was friendly but you could tell she was initially quite busy running around and not being able to check on us as often as she probably would have liked to (I think they may have been understaffed or between shifts at that time). All in all, it was a good enough experience that I would definitely go back to dine there, if I can arrive early enough in the evening. read more

Daiquiri Factory midtown is an Atlanta staple that has moved to West Midtown off Howell Mill. The chain has many locations but grew to fame due to its old location off W. Ptree Road. The new location is rather New and offers a more crisp clean patio with nice lighting. Inside is modern and clean with a DJ and ample staff. The food isn't anything to brag about but is your normal bar food. This is totally a drinking spot so don't come here expecting the food to be amazingly good. This visit I ordered the shrimp platter which I found very generous in the portion! I do think they need to ditch the steak fries though. Just my opinion. My only con is the parking situation here. There is a lack of parking and I did see a small $5 charge. I had to park across the street at a body shop as many others did also. I'm curious how long that will last!?!!?... Last time I just had wings. This time I had the grits and shrimp po boy. Let me tell you those grits are one of the best I've had in the Atlanta area. Nice and creamy and flavor!! Ben's selection of music was top notch, his music had everyone singing and it brought back all the best memories. To top off the good music, our waitress was amazing. Shout out to Kiki, she said she was new (maybe new to Atlanta because she was way too nice). Now onto the food... I've been coming here since they first opened. I used to live in the area. Since day one their beyond burger and fries are always fresh and so delicious. I order my beyond burger well done (and add mustard). The fries are seasoned to perfection and come out hot but it must be the steak fries kind not the crinkled ones. I would say though, I'm not a fan of the mayonnaise - tried making Fry Sauce (if you know, you know ) and their sprite was a little weak. They were.....but what made me mad about our experience was the food. My girl ordered the crab claws. It was 22 bucks for them. They came out and she ate one. Her look was like, that's not tasting right. She had had another just in case it was a bad one and then asked me to try it just to make sure it wasn't her. I tried it and it was hard and dry. When the young lady came back, we asked for the ticket and told her the crab fingers were overcooked. She came back and said we gave yall a discount on the crab fingers. WTF?!?! So you felt it was OK to charge us STILL? She said because we ate a few. WE ATE 3 and left the rest. The discount was 8 bucks off of the 22. So each of the those 3 fingers cost us 4.66 a piece? This was my first time coming to this location. It is a nice spot that offers food, their signature frozen drinks, a full bar and hookah. I like that we were greeted with smiles and all. We were seated pretty quick as it looked like we beat the crowd as time passed. It's a nice size inside and they have a cozy patio as well. I went with three other friends and we enjoyed our time there. Our waitress( also bartender) was very knowledgeable about menu in which she was able to answer all of our questions. I ordered the southwest egg rolls which were really good. You only get two egg rolls cut in half which seems a little small for the price but they were good none the less especially with the sweet dipping sauce that comes with it. The flavor was on point with the southwest tang you expect. My friend ordered fish ribs for the table since we were all curious about that menu item. They were really good! Each piece has like three to four bones that run the length of the piece. It was very meaty as well which was surprising. It was seasoned perfectly and you get a good portion. I also order the catfish sandwich without the bread which it came with a nice size piece of fish. I was so hungry I started eating before I took a photo. Lol The seasoning was great and fried nicely. I also tried my friends chicken and waffle which was the weakest dish on the table. The chicken was not seasoned well and a little dry from over frying. Other than that everything was great.
