Top notch service and amazing sushi right here in Chalfont. Smaller, more intimate setting but they are able to accommodate a larger party or 2. We started off with the seven spices Edamame, which was a very tasty treat. I ordered the Black Swan off of the special rolls menu and it was by far one of the best tasting rolls I've had in a long time. It will literally melt in your mouth. We were told all of the desserts are home made so we just had to try the semi liquid chocolate cake and it surely did not disappoint. Absolutely loved our first trip up to Hachi! I wanted to try somewhere new for my birthday dinner and though it felt sacrilege to not go to our favorite sushi restaurant close to home, I'm surprised to say this place ties or potentially beats our old favorite! Really nice atmosphere, music was a little loud... kind of like I was shopping in Express, but I stop noticing after a while. Decor is great too, you'd have no idea you were in a strip mall. Menu is extensive and creative with lots of interesting flavor combinations. I wish I would of "prepped" and read the menu online before we went because I was a little over whelmed at first. We will have to come back again because there were way more things I wanted to try and my stomach is only so big. We had some kind of lettuce wrap and a chicken meatball app which were both very good. The chicken meat balls were a little bit dry, but the flavor of the sauce was good enough to negate the dryness. The lettuce wrap appetizer was by far our favorite app. Just the right balance of spice and the freshness of the fish was so delicious. We ordered the shiitake and fried shallot (?) roll, vegetable roll, No.07 Volcano, and Snow Mountain rolls. All were beautifully presented and wonderful flavors! We also ordered dessert, tempura bananas with ice cream... I think my fiancee would eat fried bananas everyday since having them. Very very good! The peanuts, mango, and honey on top were a really interesting and tasty combination. I didn't anticipate writing this much, but if you made it to the end, congratulations. If you appericiate good Asian food you want to come here with friends or business clients . Leave the kids at home if you can and focus on the food and atmosphere. The best new secret in town is no longer a secret to Ivette and I. Located in the New Britain Village Square (think Blued Dog Family Tavern and Genuardi's) Hachi offers a great variety rolls, sushi and sashimi selections. The menu also includes noodles, rice and tempura. The décor is simply beautiful... as in beautifully simple. The restaurant has been open for 2.5 months and already has a bunch of fans. The couple next to us said that they've been there "a bunch of times already" and everything they've had has been very good. Make reservations before you go. You are bound to wait if you don't. We went on a whim and found ourselves walking over to the Blue Dog Tavern to wait for a table. BTW the Blue Dog has the 2014 Anchor Steam seasonal. Make sure to give it a try. I am glad we waited rather than changing our dinner plans. Appetizers: * Wakame Seaweed Salad * Yellowtail Serrano They were both delicious. The salad portion was big enough for Ivette and I to share. But the Yellowtail Serrano stole the opening act. I don't recall the last time I had yellowtail that fresh. The Serrano portion of the name is what made me order. I was curious about what I thought was a fish and ham combination but... no ham in this plate. The presentation is what makes you look twice to make sure it is indeed yellowtail for it looked like a beautifully arranged pieces of thinly sliced serrano ham garnished with jalapeño and olive oil. Ivette avoids jalapeños like the plague but this time she was eating everything. This is a must-have item. Main Dishes: * Rainbow Roll * Roasted Beet Avocado Roll * Pad Thai with Fried Tofu (chicken and shrimp were other options). The rolls were among the best we've had. All the ingredients tasted very fresh. You will definitely taste everything, specially the roasted beet... unless you make the mistake of overdoing it with the soy sauce. Pad Tai? I was almost scraping the plate! I love rice noodles and this will be one item in their menu that will be hard for me not to order over and over. Dessert: * Wild Berry Toban Mango, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, kiwi and a crunchy pie crust top served in a boiling hot covered pan. Ivette and I carved out our portions and finished it all. Constructive comments: Our server did a superb job serving the table. She paid a lot of attention to placement. A little more attention to keeping the table clean would have been awesome. Nothing to worry about though. I would have been nice touch. The entrance to the kitchen is a nice-looking curtain that doesn't always close. I don't particularly care for having a view to the kitchen. One of the owners came to our table a few times to make sure everything was to our liking. We could tell that he is genuinely interested in creating the best dining experience to his customers. First time here. Came for lunch. The food was pretty solid. I had the salmon teriyaki bento which came with a deliciously moist and generous size piece of salmon, tempura veggies & shrimp, 2 potstickers, and a standard sushi roll. A small salad and miso soup came with the meal. The hubby had the coconut curry chicken bento which he enjoyed. We both had tea to go with our meals (green tea for him & peppermint for me). The servers were very friendly and the atmosphere wasn't stuffy like some other places I've been to in the past. Our bill was lower than I thought it would be, which allowed us to pick up a few goodies at a bakery which was a few doors down. . I definitely recommend this place for lunch. The quality of the fish wasnt too good but the plating and ambiance was nice. This is byob and they do provide you with glasses and ice bucket. Sushi dinner was just okay but I really liked the ginger dressing on the salad that came with the entree. The seafood udon soup was disappointing because all the seafood looked old and bad. I've been to this place a couple of times after hearing a lot of good things about this place and also that it is somewhat close to where I live. The inside of this place is really modern, chic, and a really nice place for a date. Parking is plentiful as it is situated in a shopping center and you can easily find the place as there are flags of the restaurant in the lot right directly in front of the entrance. Place is wheelchair accessible as well :) The sushi is the real gem of this place. Everything that I've had here looks fantastic and are delicious. You can definitely tell that the chefs here take great care in preparing every roll. Being a fan of scallops, I had to try their Spicy Scallop Roll and it exceeded my expectations. You can definitely tell that the fish and other ingredients were really fresh. The presentation of every plate was amazing and bordered on being too nice to eat. The desserts are also great and the Creme Brûlée that I had was one of the tastiest desserts that I've had in a while. The food is on the pricey side; however, given how good all the food is, it is justifiable in my opinion. I will definitely be returning to this place. Okay so this is just an update, still 5 stars but just want to leave some feedback. I ordered some king salmon sushi pieces and was really disappointed when the fish was very cold and the rice was very warm. That should be a foundation. Also got the "Aromatic Duck Roll" which was good, nice flavours but I would just tell someone reading this to order something else, like the waitress said it's nothing special. I only ordered it because I thought it was the same duck dish that I had gotten before. I still highly recommend Hachi and will be coming back many of times. read more

I almost don't want to write this review, because this place was THAT good. We have visited Hachi a few times now, sitting both at a table and at the sushi bar. It is a BYOB which is a big plus when you're having sushi since the bill can add up. The place is small. The seating is limited. And on the night we were there, they ran out of wine glasses. We were offered chilled beer glasses, which worked just fine with our Sauvignon Blanc. The decor is very clean and modern Asian. Perfect for a date night. You don't feel like you're in a strip mall. The staff is friendly and attentive and will offer recommendations. Most importantly, the sushi is fantastic. We tried two new special rolls on the last visit that we LOVED. The Manhattan Monkey is to die for. And the Hachikaze was a close second. Sashimi was fresh and delicious. The Hawaiian Poke is incredible and the Tuna Bites are also good as an appetizer. The Boston Monster is also good, but doesn't quite hit the level of the Lobster Dynamite at Ooka in Doylestown (although overall, I'd have to say Hachi is better!!) I don't think you can go wrong here. Next time, I hope we still have room for dessert. Our server told us they are homemade. read more

Gorgeous serene interior, lovely staff and an extensive and creative menu. They offer a lovely specials section and the ceviche just melted in our mouths! Went for the first time a few weeks ago. I usually go to Wild Ginger. This might be my new spot! there were some really interesting rolls and it was tasty. The booths are comfy and the atmosphere is really modern and cool. The waitress asked if we wanted anything else like dessert and we said no thank you. Love finding new hidden gems locally- this place is great. Been here a few times eating in and for take out. Hibachi dishes are a bit on the small size ( we were hungry) but food was all tasty. We had a mixture of rolls and hot food including teriyaki salmon, beef, chicken, tofu and other appetizers. Baby Bok Choy was a little salty for my liking but I don't usually like a lot of salt in my food. We had 3 orders of Gyoza- it was a big hit with all the family, big and small! I made reservation for a Friday night dinner with my fiancee by phone. We ordered their spicy seafood soup and it was delicious with mussels, shrimp and noodles in it. A special spice made it unique and savory. We then ordered black swan, Philly and Cali sushi rolls. They all tasted great. Black swan was pretty fatty because of the unagi eel which was expected but still delicious. Service was fast thu it was pretty busy. Waitresses were very nice. You can sit on the bar and watch the chefs making those rolls in such a delicate way. They don't serve alcohol here. Their coconut brule was pretty good as well.
