I was pleasantly surprised by this place! The food was reasonably priced and my hibachi chicken was great. The mushrooms are so good! It's not super quick but not slow either. It's a seat yourself restaurant and they'll bring a menu to you. The entrees have the option of being hibachi (served with mushrooms and carrots) or teriyaki (served with broccoli and carrots). We both got hibachi so I can't speak to the broccoli but I'll probably ask them to just leave off the carrots next time. It's a coke place and they have a good fountain. Our food came with a bottle of yum-yum sauce if you wanted it. We did pay at the counter and there was a charge for using a card. They have a drive-thru window which is probably what I'll use in the future. But I definitely see this being my go-to Asian takeout for the future. read more

absolutely do NOT recommend going to this place. Food is incredibly unsanitary as we found this hair in the food. When we arrive at Hachi Express to pick up the food they hand it to us without a receipt. When we got home we opened up the food to discover one of our orders was completely wrong I am pescatarian and they gave me chicken. And the other shrimp plate had a hair inside. we called to speak with someone at the restaurant to rectify the situation and they said they would have their manager reach out after we gave them our name and number. We called several times throughout the week and every time the manager was "busy" or "not there". Finally today we speak with the alleged manager who tells us it's been too long (a week) and that she can only refund for the plate that was incorrect, while there was this hair inside the other. The manager hung up on the phone on the middle of our conversation after I asked why they could only refund 1 plate. When I called back again for the 4th time the manager would not disclose her name and pretended to be a server at the establishment. Customer service was awful, food is greasy and unsanitary. Got called fat and broke by one of the waitresses other than that they should rename the restaurant and call it fat waitresses with no neck talking abt other people being fat and at the end of the day it's not even Japanese they just cook rice, chicken and soy sauce. The girl with no neck called me culo gordo and looked right at me. if you have a food allergy you should probably tell them to cook it separately. They made fun of my friend for his ariat boots but they were wearing Walmart brand shirts, and great value vans, foods always great just the service was horrible read more

Honestly, this was really good for a quick lunch. I ordered chicken and scallops and they were cooked perfectly. The service was prompt and everyone was friendly for the most part. My only complaint is maybe add some music or radio? It was awkwardly quiet at times. Not worth taking off a star though. I'll be back for sure. read more

Went to this establishment tonight. Out of 20-25 tables they had one that did not have dirty plates and dishes from prior customers. There was one waitress that watched us come in and sit down at the one clean table. I waited about 10 minutes and she still had not come to our table. After 10 minutes I could count 3 times the waiter had made eye contact with me. In came another family of 4 of the same race as the waiter. Immediately she began to clean a dirty table off, take their drink order, and food order. I immediately got up and left without saying a word. I will not cast a shadow on the doors of this establishment ever again. The place was nasty, the service was piss poor, and they showed who the customer really was tonight. read more

Remodeling great, food disappointing, have eaten Japanese food cooked by a friend from Japan and her food was delicious, Limited choices, prices where to high, waitress couldn't understand English spoke mostly Spanish, and on the phone while taking our orders, and swept the floors while we where eating.
