    Norteno omelet

We came for breakfast and the charming atmosphere drew us in immediately! From the vanilla cappuccino to the Norteno omelet it was such a wonderful tasty Sunday breakfast. The service was exceptional. Will be back to try the lunch menu soon!

Came here for breakfast after a hike and loved this place. Food was great and the inside of the restaurant is really nice with a cool aesthetic. They have a relaxing outdoor seating area as well. Service was quick. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with an ice Carmel Macchiato and they were both really good. I would definitely come back here and even try their lunch. They do get pretty busy and the parking lot fills up fast, which is a good sign of how popular this place is.

First time here! Yummy food. My friend took me, she said her family go quite often to where her son calls it the "Blue place" they love it! I was able to order my food without cheese!! Staff was friendly! Next time I want to leave room for dessert. Cute decorated.

Very cute restaurant, quick and friendly service! I came with a group of 11 (including me) and we got seated fairly quickly. It was around 10 am. Our waitress was very lovely! I ordered the Huevos Divorciados and they we pretty good! Both green and red sauce lacked a little bit of flavor but after some salt and cholula, it was delicious! The potatoes were nicely seasoned and the beans were great. To drink i got an iced chai latte ($6) with espresso (an extra $2) and it was not great.. it was an interesting flavor (one that i didn't enjoy) and for $8 i expected more. My coworker got the french toast and it was delicious! (you really cant go wrong with french toast) Overall, they had a huge selection on the menu and I'll definitely return to try more thing!

This spot just opened. It used to be a Molina's. They have done a fantastic job in redesigning the place. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I had the chorizo and scrambled eggs. I enjoyed them. I also had a cafe olla, which was delicious, but did come out a little cool. Their menu has some really cool features, like a coffee flight. Will definitely go back to try some of the breakfast items.

This is a beautiful restaurant that makes you feel like you are not in Tucson. It gets really busy so you may want to expect a wait or go really early. The decor is beautiful and they have a lovely courtyard. The food was very tasty and the sauces were delicious. Our service was good too and it's a nice spot for breakfast / brunch.

Friend and I wanted to try this place to see how it was. Walking in, the place is EXTREMELY noisy. Something needs to be done to the ceiling to abate the noise level. The place was crowded. We had a 10 minute wait to be seated. The server brought us menus and drinks once we were at a table. Friend ordered the Taco Dorados (beef/potatoes, rice); I ordered the Hacienda Platter (tamale, beans, beef machaca). Friend said the tacos were delicious; they looked to be fried which is the way we like them. The machaca was really good with plenty of onions. Friend rated this place 5 stars; I would rate it a 3, so a 4 wins. The reason for this rating is: 1, The noise. I had a headache within 5 minutes. 2. No complementary chips and salsa. In fact, there are no chips and salsa on the menu. 3. My beans were soup. Not one solid or partial bean in the very tiny bowl. Plus I had no spoon to eat them with, only a fork. 4. A very small plastic container with "salsa" sauce. I used that up in the first few bites. 5. The flour tortilla - there was one small flour tortilla wrapped in foil. 6. The tamale had no meat. I understand that can be a normal way to make and serve a tamale. I've never seen one before in Tucson. The masa was sweet and tasty though. 7. The server never came back to our table to see if everything was satisfactory. We didn't see the server until we were handed the bill. Maybe this food comes from a different part of Mexico? Not what we typically see in Tucson? Not sure. The main part of the meal was very good (machaca and tacos). The rest, not so much. If I go back, it'll be with different expectations.

The Enchiladas Poblanas are absolute perfection--smothered in a rich, velvety green cream sauce and served with fluffy rice, smooth beans, and a crisp salad. On top of the incredible food, the restaurant features beautiful decoration that creates a wonderful atmosphere, and our waitress was incredibly nice and attentive. Fantastic food, gorgeous space, and top-tier service! We celebrated brunch for my fiance and he loves his birra tacos also. Highly recommend

First time here. We tried to go last weekend, but it was very busy on a Sunday. No parking. So we decided to try it on a Monday. I made sure they had mimosas because brunch is not brunch without one for me. The employees were so nice and the service was fast! My chilaquiles divorciados were delish!

Hacienda Azul, what a cute new Mexico restaurant. The food was really good. My daughter in-law and I had the red sauce Chilaquiles. My husband and son had the Huevos Motuleños. Coffee was really good. The service was great our waitress Alexa was awesome! Can't wait to go back again

I am sooo happy we have this restaurant in my side of town now!! When we got to the restaurant, it was very busy but since we were just two of us, we got seated in about 15 mins. Host was welcoming and sweet, a perfect person to have as a first contact. I do need to mention their decor! It is so pretty! I have passed this place MANY times but I had no idea they had a terrace! They did such a good job with their interior. It feels warm, there are good amount of space in between tables, love having a sink outside of the bathroom ( as a person who ALWAYS washes my hands before eating) . The music they played was very nice as well and the volume was perfect. Last but not least, I absolutely loved their food. I ordered Chile Relleno with sweet corn tamale with Poblano sauce. I'm a sucker for shrimp culichi and the sauce tastes like that and it was delicious. They have good selection of coffee and if I was a coffee drinker, I would definitely order coffee flights. They looked so good. Next time I need to try their dessert!!! Our server was great. She was busy serving and being a barista but still provided excellent service. This will be my go-to breakfast/lunch place now and I couldn't be happier that it's so close to me!

Great quesabirria and friendly service. It has a fun aesthetic inside. We got our food quickly.

First off, this place is beautiful inside. The colors, different tiles and textures throughout make it a very comfortable and refreshing atmosphere. The music was good and not too loud. The waitresses had on matching shirts and jeans which I thought was cute. We weren't promptly greeted when we walked in but our server made up for it. We ordered pineapple mimosas and really liked how they came with a small personalized bottle of champagne and glass of juice. For entrees we had the hacienda platter and the chilaquiles divorciados. Both were good with some yummy flavors. The tamale in the hacienda platter was a little dry and adding salsa to it helped. The machaca was delicious! The green chilaquiles had a sweet and tart taste to them that was a little different for us and we preferred the red ones instead. Overall we enjoyed our meal and would go back again.

The interior is visually congested, not in a bad way but with lots of decor, seating, movement areas and etc. It makes a feeling of the space being busy and distracting. I prefer calmer spaces but it's not terrible. Service was prompt, frequent and wonderful. An older woman came by and asked how we wanted salsa and made us a bowl which was INCREDIBLE! So savory, spicy, fresh and left me wanting more. (You get a certain amount salsa and chips per person than you gotta pay). It was literally perfect. We weren't super hungry and wanted to share, to us the serving was more than enough for two. We enjoyed a house rocks margarita, grilled steak fajitas with rice and beans, sides of sour cream and guacamole and also some chips and salsa. It was all very well made, came out steaming and was very satisfying. The space felt cold to me, but seemed fine to all else. So just a note there if you run on the warmer side. I don't know if they do reservations, but I would imagine on some nights it would be a good idea seeing as they seem very busy.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient, checking in so often (perhaps too often) to make sure we were taken care of. He made us feel welcomed right away and kept everything running smoothly throughout our meal. As for the food, the birria tacos were amazing, packed with rich, flavorful meat and served with a delicious consommé dip for dunking. Every bite was better than the last. With Rodrigo's outstanding service, combined with the great food, this was easily a five-star visit. If you go, do yourself a favor and ask for Rodrigo, he'll take great care of you!!

Pretty good. Pretty good. Of the four of us who gathered to dine here last Friday, (late summer of…read more2026), three in our party raved about their meals, and had nothing but high-praise for the experience. We three, actually loved everything about AMELIAS. Us three (*let's just call them "the cool ones"), were wowed by the taste of our food and noted that the plate presentations were kinda cool-- and a little "more-fancy" than what is typically placed down upon the table at your typical Mexican food restaurants. AMELIAS adds a bit of "pizazz" and "decorum" to their menu items--like edible flowers that float in your margarita, or wavy lines of crema that dance on the seas of flavorful sauces that accompany the tamales, 'chiladas, and relleno plates served here. Three-forths of us also noted how attentive and friendly those who served us were. And... we (the cool ones) also all noticed how the warm, cheerful, and welcoming ambiance and decor of the place added to the enjoyment of our meal. (*Play Debbie-downer walk-up music) One in our group...(dramatic pause)... was notably quiet and reserved when it was her turn to rave about her dish. This person, smiled and shared that she thought her food was, "pretty good." But, now that I think about it...her praise was kinda limited, and she, indeed, was a bit reticent. I would find out later, as we lay in bed that night, that one in our group had not enjoyed her meal as much the other three had. Apparently, the cheese and chicken enchiladas dish that was ordered was not to this person's liking, and she added that she thought the service was "just okay". Not wanting to bring-down the mood of the evening, this person played along and didn't criticize. Now, I am not trained in psychology, but if feels like...(how do I put this delicately?)... okay. (*the writer thinks for a bit). Sometimes... when one in our party does not get to pick the restaurant that we are going to try, it seems to me... that...(dramatic pause as I try to find just the right words to say this).. I seems to me... that...This person is just, "not going to enjoy" the place that was picked, no matter how good it is. There! I said it. And while I'm on the subject... your mom is just like this too. And now you know the rest of my story. Let's summarize: AMELIAS is a very good restaurant and you will enjoy the heck out of your meal. Unless, of course, you insist on being the one who picks where your group goes out to eat-- and you don't get your way. Then, you will find it to be, "pretty good", but complain about it later in bed. (I know this is supposed to be a restaurant review, and not a mini-soap opera. But I hope you enjoyed our little dive into the psychology of relationships.) Until next time, this is the guy who will be sleeping on the couch for a night or two if my beloved happens to read this. (lol--she will find humor in this...and, of course, disagree with my "junior-psychologist" interpretation of why she thought Amelias was just okay. )
