I went to Hacienda Lighting to find a new ceiling fixture for my child's room. I wanted something "western" something "rugged" something "cowboy" but nothing that was too theme or didn't work with the rest of my house. The associate worked with me, and took me through some catalogs to find just the right piece.They ordered it for me and it was delivered in a timely manner. I can't imagine buying lighting like this online, talking to an associate and being able to touch and see the various finishes was extremely helpful. Sometimes its nice to "shop local" and talk to someone who knows their business! if you're looking for just the right lighting piece, but aren't really sure what that even means to you - go visit the folks at Hacienda and they will help you find just the right piece! read more

I visited the Scottsdale showroom today at 10:45 am. No other customers in the store. I saw six staff members milling around. Spent 10 minutes walking thru the showroom three times, passing the front desk each time. No on said a word to me. Their customer service is some of the worst I have experienced. Don't waste your time at Hacienda Lighting. If you are in Scottsdale, go to Valley Light Gallery. If you are in the East Valley Awahtukee area, go to Cappadonnas. Not only is this lighting store overpriced but their leadership is extremely rude. After speaking to a manufacturer about a warranty replacement on a fan light, they refused to even consider helping me and was extremely rude in the process. They can care less if they have return customers. I would avoid and visit one of the other local lighting stores. read more

My experience at Hacienda Lighting comes with such mixed emotions, but ultimately, as of this writing (it's not over yet), it's been a terrible experience. The first sales woman we dealt with was very nice and we told her we'd go home to measure some stuff and call in to buy the fan. We called and emailed and never got a response after two or three tries so we came in again. This should've been the first warning. We literally couldn't even give our money away to them, but that's okay because we ended up going with another fan as a result of coming in again. On the second try, we went with a different sales woman (because why should we bother with the lady who wouldn't follow up on a ridiculously easy sale?) and she was also really great, this time we bought a fan and the outdoor pendant light while there since we had measurements. She was great, awesome in fact. Really took the time to run us through every possible option. Then it went down hill. We were told we would get the fan within 3 weeks. Trusting their word, I didn't call to follow up until a couple days after week 3. That proved to be a mistake because no one knew where the fan was and it turns out it wasn't shipped out. (Keep in mind, every single time I call, the person I speak with is NEVER the person who has any sort of answer. And it turns out the person who has any sort of answer, simply doesn't call people back, at least he won't call me back. Maybe it's personal.) Long story short, after having to hound the crap out of them on a daily basis for an entire week because no one will call me back, they finally call the manufacturer and track down my $800 fan and schedule my installation a week later. So that 3 weeks turned into 6 weeks. Installers came and were nice. They told me the fan wobbled when on high and a little bit on medium but because of the specialty fan, there isn't a way to balance it. He tells me to call back if it bothers me enough. Well, after a night of the fan wobbling even on medium, it bothers me. Back to the phone race. I've called every day since Monday and no one will call me back. I've bought 4 things from this store. 2 lighting fixtures and 2 fans. A year ago I dropped and broke the bulb cover for one of the over sink fixtures. Went into the store and they were able to find an extra cover and gave it to me, no charge. Recently I brought in a Casablanca table that stopped working to an "authorized repair" location. (The Fan Doctor.) They wouldn't even try to repair it. So I brought it in to Hacienda Lighting (purchased from them.) and Jason spent at least 30 minutes trying to fix it. He is personally contacting Casablanca to get the parts needed to repair it. EVEN if he is not successful in the repair I'm 100% satisfied with his service and Hacienda Lighting. If it can't be repaired the failure will be on Casablanca for not standing behind their product. Sorry that the person two years ago wasn't greeted because that is not how they usually are. At least they are not pushy salespeople. On the bright side they are helpful and stand behind the produce they sell. read more

This is my second time getting great service at Hacienda Lighting. Brought in a broken halogen ballast to get swapped to run LEDs. Not only were they super nice and helpful, but the part I needed wasn't in stock so they told me where I could go to find it today. So although I did not spend a dime this time, they definitely have my business in the future. read more

Hacienda is on a list of providers supplied by the sales office in our community of Sun City Festival. We made the 60 minute drive to shop for mini-pendant lights for our new home. BE VERY CAREFUL FOLKS! First we noticed the pendant lights displayed are very expensive. We were able to meet with a hurried sales rep who helped us choose 3 lights at a more affordable $150 per light. They had to be ordered and were told it would take 3 weeks. ONE MONTH LATER we called to ask why we had not been notified that are lights were in. We learned they had to be back ordered and they would be available in ANOTHER 3 WEEKS. Okay, we understand. 3 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS LATER we called to inquire about our lights. They were STILL NOT AVAILABLE but should be in the next day. Having been told at the time of the sale our lights would be available in 3 weeks and AFTER 6 WEEKS AND TWO DAYS they were still not in we cancelled the order. A week later we received a PARTIAL REFUND. Our total order was just over $500. HACIENDA POCKETED JUST OVER $100 OF OUR MONEY refunding just over $400. The bottom of their sales slip says "all special orders must be paid in advance and cannot be returned or cancelled". They asked us to pay only 50% and the rest on delivery. We CHOSE to pay 100%. We thought since the company was not able to deliver according to our verbal contract and that they had not required full payment as stipulated in the small print at the bottom of the receipt that they had already broken the agreement. I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST that timely delivery be included on any receipt if you choose to do business with this firm. This was a mistake on my part. But, in my opinion keeping over 20% of our money when the company incurred little or no cost to order lights is UNETHICAL. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

Watch-out for this company. We purchased nearly $1000 of 2 lights, only to find out we had to take the display lights from the store display for both lights. During the installation, one of the lights had the down rod female threads stripped out. took the light back to the store, Now nearly 4 weeks since the purchase, no replacement part. This is a bathroom ceiling light. Have you ever went that length of time without a bathroom light? The company should have replaced the light with a new one, and took the delay time on their nickle, not a customers. Bad business practice! They also as much as told me that I was the cause of the problem. Shame! Shame! on them. Never will be a customer again, and will never refer any potential customers TO HACIENDA LIGHTING. We ordered 2 light fixtures for bathroom remodels. Once we got the order into the system and they received our money we did not hear from them. 2 weeks later we called wondering about when our order will be in. At that time we were notified that one order will be in within 2 weeks, the other is now on back order and won't we in for 4-6 weeks (why were we not notified of this earlier). After a 2 week wait we picked up the first fixture (exactly what we wanted) and asked how much longer for the second. They told us it was on the east coast and will be 2-4 weeks (why can't they just ship it now). We asked if they can expedite the shipping process (we will pay), the company said they will try but now 2 weeks later we are told that it will be here next week (could've made it by this weekend if they called the east coast warehouse but only e-mailed). Poor communication with clients. Poor communication with warehouse. Once they got your money they didn't care about the costumer. Will not refer anyone to this place. read more

HORRIBLE COMPANY HORRIBLE MANAGER!!!!!! LOW GRADE SERVICE - THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM TAKING YOUR MONEY BUT DON'T EXPECT TO BE RESPECTED OR TREATED FAIRLY!!! I bought several light fixtures from Hacienda Lighting and at first it was a nice experience dealing with Barbara. I had a very expensive light fixture that I purchased (not from them) & had it waiting in storage for my remodel. I asked Barbara if she had someone that could just go over the fixture & make sure it was in excellent working order before I installed it in my home. She said to bring it in & she would have her repair tech look at it. I am self employed and my job requires me to travel extensively. I checked back after a month or so when I got back in town. The repair tech said the fixture was is bad shape & he could not handle it. I explained to him that the fixture was new that I purchased from a contractor that had just installed it in a remodel & the client sold the home immediately after. The new buyer changed everything in the home including all the new fixtures. I explained that It was sitting in storage & was in excellent shape (just dusty) but just needed a few of the missing little plastic pieces that went around the base of a few of the many lights to make them look like candles instead of lights. I asked him if he would let me take a couple minutes to clean the dust off. He said no problem. He went off for roughly 20 minutes. When he came back he was blown away at how nice the fixture was & what great shape it was in. He said it would be easy to order the plastic pieces & the 3 missing little screws since they worked with that manufacturer and were very familiar with the fixture. Months went by and no action was taken on the fixture. I still wasn't finished with my remodel so I was in no hurry & was still working out of town a ton. Barbara was always pleasant & I had ordered other lights from them so no big deal on the long wait time. I trusted them & did not think there was going to be an issue. WRONG! definitely misplaced trust!!! I get a call from Barbara after about 9 months saying they weren't able to help me & to come pick up the fixture. I was disappointed because the tech told me a different story. I told her it would be a couple weeks before I could get back over there since I was out of town. She said no problem. When I got in town I went by their location on Hayden. I was alarmed to find out they had moved. I knocked on the door and it was completely dark and no one was there. I was able to figure out that they moved. I went to the new location and spoke to Barbara and she said she would have someone call me to arrange a time to go back to the old location and get it since no one was there. I said ok. A couple weeks went by with no call from Hacienda. I went in again and spoke to Barbara. She said bad news "they threw the light fixture in the trash when they moved." I was alarmed because I paid over $4000 for the fixture. I expressed my concern and she said not to worry she would have Dave the manager call me. No call for weeks. I called again several times and asked to speak to him. He would not make himself available. After 4 or 5 failed attempts trying to get the manager Dave to return my call I went in and Barbara was able to get him to speak with me. He was the rudest individual I have dealt with. His tone was demeaning & condescending. He accused me of lying several times & said his staff had a different stories of events than what I expressed. He stated it is my fault they threw away my light fixture. I asked him to bring Barbara & the repair tech in to resolve the issue and his exact words were "I am not going to have a stupid Kangaroo court with you!" I told him he had a couple options that would resolve this that were fair. He could either pay me what I paid for the light fixture or I would be willing to have my wife pick out a light fixture of equal retail value knowing that they would benefit from the second option since they get wholesale. I was fine with either option. He refused my offer then called me a liar when I told him what I paid for the fixture. I was insulted on so many fronts by him that I could not believe that someone with such low grade people skills was placed in a management position. He is a total embarrassment to his position. I reached out to the gentlemen I had purchased the light fixture from and had him send me a copy of the receipt. I forwarded this to Dave. Surprise - no response. I waited a couple weeks then called. I asked to get Dave's email again from the female that answered the call rather than searching through my emails. She put me on hold then Dave got on the phone and refused to give it to me. Rude, self-important staff. At least two of the women, anyway. I've remodeled several homes and have had several bad experiences here. The store is cluttered and it is difficult to see fixtures. We were ignored as we came to the front desk. When I finally said something the women (owner I think) looked indignant that anyone would interrupt her. Sure, you may find a nice light fixture, but why shop here when so many stores (online too) have the same products? For future projects, I just go here to get the model number and shop elsewhere. Prices are also higher at Hacienda than elsewhere, and when you're redoing a 5000k sf home, price matters. read more

Experienced the same as others. Stopped there Saturday 01/31/14, one person acknowledged us but was busy. Short staffed nobody to wait on you. Reps were only helping one customer at time when they could be helping others. Very poor service. Would not recommend. Selection limited as well. Went to another lighting store near Shea, much better selection and were waited on right away. We are re-doing the whole house with lights, fixtures, and ceiling fans, this place lost our business today. read more

Look them up on the internet and they will track you and continually place adds in your face. For months you will see there name everywhere you look. I ask you does a company that sells quality products and offers excellent sales service need to do this? Hell no! I am so grateful for this company. We needed to replace an expensive light that was damaged and Jason rescued us. They had the best price and by far the best service. I called 3 other places that had to "call me back" with their prices. One place even said they would only charge 10 percent over there cost but was still more expensive than Hacienda. The best part was their thoughtfullness in getting us taken care of asap. All the other places were going to take 2 to 4 weeks to get it but jason decided to take the glass piece from an existing one so i could get it right away and he would just order the replacement piece for himself! read more

Needed a new fixture for the dining room and this place had a great selection of contemporary lighting. After showing Barb the area and giving her the dimension of my table, she said the one I really loved would be too small which was really disappointing. But, we found something else and it looks great. We also bought a fan from her. About 2 months later, I realized the fixture I loved would be perfect for my kitchen. Unfortunately I had deleted the photo I had taken and it was no longer in the store or on their website. No one could remember it. Then, I discovered the picture in my trash file. I emailed it to Barb who called me immediately and told me that although it had been discontinued, she had located a few in California. I showed her a photo of where it would hang and she agreed that it would be perfect. I placed the order which arrived in a week. It looks gorgeous. All the installations were done by my husband. I am really confused by the reviews which mentioned poor service. My experience was different. Sometimes you do have to wait to speak to someone but that is because they take their time with each customer and you want to see someone specific, you have to wait. Prices are reasonable and both items we ordered came in within 2 weeks and within the time frames we were quoted. Barb is a great designer with excellent taste! read more
