Used to be good food. Lately the service is so bad, you don't even get your lunch and you have to leave hungry.

I took my aunt out for dinner and we settled into a nice outdoor table on a gorgeous Easter Monday…read morenight.. that was at 4:45 pm and an hour later our food had still not arrived. The Caesar salad which eventually came was pretty standard, and I did like the zest of the jambalaya penne. The waitress also forgot my aunt's order of mineral water. I really liked the mango mule! But to sit over an hour waiting for food is unacceptable

The location is on the main strip of Tsawassen and is pretty trendy. Their is outside seating (including blankets and a small fire pit). They also take reservations which is a bonus. We came early on a Friday. My sister loves this place and I definitely preferred her dish to mine. I got their soup of the day ($6.50 for a cup). The serving and presentation was beautiful. The soup was roasted cauliflower with smoked cheddar. It was not at all what I excepted. It was brown and thick/lumpy and flavorless. They also don't have salt or pepper at the table (but their servers offer freshly grated parm). I also go a small pizza (feta, spinach, onion). That was $18.99 and again, mediocre. The sauce was flavorless but their crust was nice and crispy. The spinach didn't taste overly fresh either. My sister got their Backed Tortellini with Alfredo. Super rich and garlicy with the perfect cheese, pasta, sauce ratio! I loved her dish. Service was great. It was just ok for me.

Insincere servers fishing for tips…read more We showed up for lunch. The place looked nice. The hostess said the tables in the covered patio were reserved but the group won't be coming for an hour so we can eat there if we want but we have to leave before the bigger party gets there. She recommended we sit further away on hard uncomfortable seats in the wind. What the heck? It was uncomfortable then another waitress with light brown hair came by and said "is there a problem?" I said "we would prefer to sit in the covered patio" She said it was okay but kind of made kind of a big deal about it. Treating me like I was being difficult when actually I was very polite considering how they were treating us. Reminding us repeatedly that a larger more important party is coming in an hour and treating us like we were a burden. It honestly just seemed like the servers are only thinking only about their tips and not wanting to serve a small family. She ignored our table the whole time. I didn't get any Parmesan. Because she never stopped to ask how the meal was. The server had someone bring the food. It wasn't even busy. She just didn't care. Our server basically did nothing but avoid us. The only time she was remotely friendly was when she handed my spouse the bill. Obviously fishing for tips. She asked what we are going to do after this and as I answered she looked away like she couldn't give an F. These bad servers need to go. Bad service always ruins a business. It really doesn't matter if the food is good when the servers are rude. We won't be coming back.

Oh it's been a while where I feel I don't know where to start…read more My partner and I went back to ill Posto after two years. We had a poor experience there before. That said tonight was worse. Literally the worst service, by some pre pubescent girl in cut jeans shorts. We watched her walk empty handed back and forth while we and others waited for everything from the appy to desert and coffee. The pizza was dry the Lasagne was out of a can Im sure! Really how hard is it to make good lasagne? I sat there pinning to be across the road at Niagra where the food and service although not 5 star is miles ahead of Ill Posto. The place was busy but I have know clue why. The menu is limited the prices are high for what it is. Try the Pink Pepper Corn in Vancouver for far better food and similar prices!!!

The menu contains a variety of rice combo dishes that you can select (pork, chicken, beef, fois gras, curry) and a tempura noodle set as well. Occasionally, they also have specials as well. My boyfriend and I ordered the beef set and the tempura noodle set with pork. I love how there are a variety of side dishes that come with the set. This is great for those who like variety and want to have a complete meal with all the food groups. My favourite is definitely the pickled daikon/carrot and the cabbage salad! The food is not too salty and the broth was perfectly seasoned for my palate. My boyfriend also ordered an espresso romano which I had never tried before. The foam on top was surprisingly refreshing with a tart aftertaste of lime. The prices were also very fair with most sets averaging around $19-20 before tax. You order at the counter and pay after you're finished. This is a great place for a quick bite especially if you're in the Ironwood area of Richmond.

All the courses came with their own sides which was great! Salmon course 4.5/5 maybe it was me and I waited too long to eat so my salmon dried out a little bit the flavor was so good that I didn't mind. I normally hate overcooked salmon but I wouldn't say this was overcooked. Beef course 5/5 the egg was beautifully cooked. The beef was plentiful and I love the addition of the ginger. Udon soup 4.5/5 you get your choice of beef, pork or chicken. It comes with a side of tempura. It was good! Hot and fresh. I love that the temprua was not in the soup. Mango soda 3/5. Refreshing yes. But I expected it to be sweeter or have more mango flavour. Also, if you post a photo on social media, you get a free order of prawn tempura which was nice. Overall we had a great experience. Will definitely come back again!

Although we sat in the dining side, we were able to hear the live music playing in the lounge which was amazing. I loved the Brussels sprouts and potato skins. We also ordered the bolognese which was nothing out of the ordinary. One downfall was our service. It took over ten minutes before we had our drink order taken. When our entrees arrived, three out of the six meals were brought to the table over 5 minutes after the initial three dishes were served. A male who we assumed was the manager approached our table, asked us how our evening was, said "great okay thank you" and walked away. It was a nice gesture, however the interaction was not very professional. I would come back for happy hour !

With that being said, I frequent the lower mainland to see my family and often times stay in the Ladner / Delta area. I've heard about Sonora MX Taqueria from my family as it is the first legit taqueria in this area. It was mentioned to me that over the last several years, there has been an increase in migrant workers and this is go to taqueria. I thought I had to try it. It must be good! Finally, this past Saturday was the day. We went in as a group of three and a baby. We were quickly greeted and provided a menu. The taqueria is clean and airy with a decent sized dining area. We ordered a chicken Tinga burrito, quesabirria tacos with consume, two fish tacos, a carnitas taco and a horchata. The order took a lil time to make but was all packed really well. Everything was amazing! The tacos all had great flavor. The red salsa had an amazing kick! And tje horchata was very tasty. One of the Better horchatas I've had. The food is up there! You can check out my pics! Everything was great and I am excited as this place grows in Ladner and hopefully more people find out. My only suggestions are to please add a salsa bar. It would be nice to pour your own chips, salsa, and peppers. I'm used to that in California. Also, some of the tacos were really hot and the to go containers can Make some of the items soggy. But if you eat at the taqueria this is not a problem. All in all Excellent experience and we will definitely be back!

The steak was tender and cooked well, and it came with condiments like jus and steak sauce, which added to the experience. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience with room for improvement in flavor depth.

We had made a reservation which…read moreabsolutely was not needed because the place was dead inside. the walls were so dirty so it was a bit off putting to be eating beside old sauce / dead bugs. service was absolutely non existent. The two ladies were just talking off on the side and texting on their phone all in plain sight. I understand there may be downtime in any shift but it lowers the vibe of the dining experience and also our soft drinks took forever to come to our table. just a Coke and just a sprite - also no offer for refills or asking if we wanted other drinks. the food itself took a LONG time to come out - only two entrees, no appetizers or fancy platters. once the food did come out I was surprised that everything was SO salty. also weird it's auto served with ketchup and bbq sauce. My steak had a lot of gristle on it and typically when the waitress would check in how things were I'd either mention it or they would apologize for the cut - but neither of the servers came by. I also didn't want to risk waiting another half hour for mediocre food and service. a family came in and they were seated right near us even though the restaurant was empty so that was also weird seating. when our meals were over and plates taken away eventually, we waited again for 10 minutes for someone to come by so we could get our bill. it's a weird layout because it's like the restaurant wants to be boujie but the service and food just don't meet the criteria. Needless to say it was not a good birthday dinner and I wouldn't recommend it.
