I ended up finding three contractors that all looked excellent from those reviews and called each for a bid. One said he was familiar with the model and didn't need to come out to quote it. I asked him to do so because there were a couple of repairs that we wanted done at the same time. He asked us to send pictures because he was too busy. I scratched him off the list. The next said he couldn't come out for two or three weeks and that he could give me a call. I passed. I called Straitline Painting next and was pleasantly surprised when someone actually answered the phone. I spoke with Cody, the president of the company and he told me he was very interested in quoting the job and wanted to know if it would be okay if he came out the next morning. We met and he walked the house with us. He was on time and as we walked through the house pointing out some of the areas that needed some extra attention he was very engaged and seemed genuinely interested in giving us the best advice he's could after many years in the industry. He gave us a professionally prepared detailed and fair bid within 2 days and we gave him the job . He even helped us finalize the paint colorto take into account the way the sunlight comes into the home and took the time to show us some of the differences room to room that paint color selection can make. (We ultimately selected a color based on his input.) He and his painter Jerome took a little less than a week to finish the job but I could tell from the beginning that they were pros. Rosin paper down all around and everything masked to prevent any over spray or damage to our property. They spent a good amount of time on that but it clearly paid off. The house was cleaner when they left then when they started. I'm attaching a handful of photos of the finished product but I will tell you we could not be happier with the work that was done or with the interaction that we had with Cody - very responsive and pleasant to deal with there is no doubt in my mind that his very first priority is to make sure that his customers are completely satisfied with the work his company has done for them. The park my mom's home is in does not allow for the use of a sprayer for paint. I didn't know this. But James did. All the other painters that gave me quotes didn't know this rule either. He came out to power wash first. Did an excellent job w that. He showed up on time, everyday and completed the job within the time frame he gave.
