Then she change the story to that they was sent to a older couple in Sharpsburg who turn them in and she said they just got them today then she keeps saying that we was luck that the older couple turn them in. Then she said we had to go down and pick them up we had them a couple days and that she was going to call us. We bought a used truck that still needed detailed, inspected, paint chips fixed, an oil leak, and more. The salesman Big Mike made promises that he apparently wasn't allowed to make or come through on. Chapin the Fiancé Manager or whatever he called him self was extremely rude and lied multiple times. We were told before we purchased the truck the oil leak would be fixed, however after we signed the papers and got the truck Chapin himself, told us we had to wait to get the oil leak fixed after 30 days till our warranty kicked in. We are a younger couple and they totally took advantage of our age. After reviewing our signed papers, we realized our warranty kicks in as soon as we sign the papers and we only have 30 days to return the truck. We also talked to the warranty company and they told us no warranties cover oil leaks or leaks of any kind. We called Hagerstown Ford more specifically we called Chapin, and told him about what we found out and that he lied. He said, " I did not tell you that about the warranty the service manager said that". When in fact when we talked to him earlier in the day about this situation he said " Do Not call the warranty at all, they will not cover it before the 30 days" which he repeated multiple times. This is the story of an idiot. That idiot is myself. In 2005, I was still wet behind the ears and decided I was ready for my first new car. I purchased a 2005 Ford Escape here. Didn't negotiate. Didn't even know if it was a good deal or not. I just know I was treated nicely. So I bought it. Enjoyed myself so much that I came up a year later with my father and got him a used Dodge Durango. The Escape came and went. It was time for a small car because of the recession. So I got in a 2012 Fiesta. Then I feel in love and took my soon to be bride over to purchase a 2016 Ford Escape. Then when gas prices were creeping up again in 2017, I traded another car in to get a Ford Focus. This is where the problems begin. The salesman was pushy. He insisted on going through financing with his family member Cheyanne. Who then decided to put 8(!) individual credit reports out to find me a lender. Do you know what 8 hard inquires does to your credit score!? Especially when you are in the market for a house in the upcoming year?! So I vowed that I would always have my own financing lined up before car shopping. Yet, I still kept coming over to Hagerstown to have my three vehicles serviced. A young kid in the Quicklane department pulled out the other week and hit my father's Escape. Did I flip out? No. Mistakes happen. I was told it would be taken care of by the service team. The mechanic forgets to put my oil pan cover guard back on tightly. I'm driving down the road and it flies off. Again, mistakes happen and as long as it's fixed then I'm fine with it. The time comes for a new car. My wife and I both have a Ford Fusion crush. We find the "one". It's available at four different dealerships. She's still upset about the Focus fiasco from a few years ago. We secure our own financing so we wouldn't have any of the issues that we had before. I find the "one" at my wife's hometown Ford dealership. I could have had it that day. But I wanted to give Hagerstown a chance. I call and asked about the "one" that they had on the lot. I've driven the car. I know it's the one I want. I called to get a simple bottom line number. Let me know. I'll get my check from my lender and the deal can be done in minutes. I was told that they couldn't do it over the phone. I would have to come in and talk to a manager. No biggie. I can do that. I make an appointment for the next day. Then an hour later I get a call from a sales rep saying I would be dealing with her. I informed her that I didn't need to test drive or any of that. Just give me a good number and it's sold. I get there and of course they have the car parked out front with my name on the mirror saying "VIP". I inform her that I didn't want to take a test drive but she insisted. We go a mile up the road and back. She then starts asking me very personal questions. "Who are you going through?" "How much did you get approved for?" "How are the rates." "You need to go through Ford Credit. That's the only one." No. No it isn't. Just give me a number. She goes back and we do the run around game 3 times. By the second time I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with this place. The manager comes out and he's asking the same intruding questions. Saying there was no other dealership that could beat his bottom line pricing. We get up and leave. Both upset that a loyal customer who has overlooked a lot of mistakes in the past would be treated like that. We're in our car and backing out. The guy comes out and stops up. Is he going to throw out one more offer? No. He proceeds to hand me his offer sheet and tells me to please bring back any offers from opposing dealerships...not so that he could match it...but so that he can see how they did it "cause it can't be done." The story of an idiot has a happy ending though. I'm a proud owner of a 2019 Ford Fusion SEL. It even has the moon roof that the one at Hagerstown didn't have...and I got it for $1000 less than his bottom line number. So here's my "bottom line". My 3 cars? No longer visiting that dealership for all of their maintenance. I'll never step foot in that place ever again. That's my bottom line. It's not all bad though. The guys at Quicklane? Top notch people. I truly enjoyed my dealings with them. Tim Rowe the service manager? Another top flight human being who knows how to treat his customers right. So long! Here is my story as an incredibly unsatisfied customer, and one hoping to save others the pain, loss of finances, and heartache. Months ago, I towed my car to them because an alert saying "low oil pressure" came on in my car. The car still turned on and still ran, however, my manual said to get it checked immediately and that it wasn't recommended to drive with said alert, as it could cause bigger issues - hence I had it towed there- to the closest Ford Dealership. Fast forward to the dealership calling me to say they could not diagnose anything without me paying them $500 in labor to look over the car and take it apart. Didn't seem correct but I told them to please do what it takes to find out what is wrong with my car. Dealership calls back and tells me, well we can do two things. Never tells me WHAT is wrong. We can replace the pump and filter for $5000 and we won't guarantee you that will fix anything. The other option is to replace the entire engine for $8000 and then you'll have an engine warranty. Also Ford won't cover any of these repairs because you were xyz miles over your recent Ford maintenance. So I tell them I will have to get more information and call them back. After discussing how absurd this entire scenario is, I call back and tell them I am issuing a formal request in writing for what is wrong with my car and I provide my email and address. I get a call later saying they couldn't hear my email address correctly and their phone lines aren't great and they leave me THEIR email. I email. Nothing. I call. Nothing. This pattern repeats for a month. So then I call the main phone number, they do nothing and transfer me to voicemail. I send a message to the main Facebook page explaining my issue and requesting communication back. Nothing. So finally, after this goes on way too long, my husband and I go in person to the dealership and the manager of the service department (or one of them) says the person working my case previously was just covering temporarily and she will get me my car back and look into things. She gives me the keys and her email. I have some hope at this point. When she speaks to me again she says NOTHING about what is wrong with my car - which I had asked to have copies of yet again- but "reminds" me that warranty really doesn't cover repairs if you're late on maintenance. We've already full researched this and to deny warranty coverage of serious repairs like the ones they are stating my car needs would require Ford to prove complete negligence and recklessness on our part, as the car is nearly new and has barely been driven because I got it before COVID and worked from home during most of that time. At this point, I am over being accused of things and told that my repairs won't be covered but never actually knowing what is broken, and arrange to have my car towed back home until we can figure out something. The tow gets my car and brings it back and I look inside and the parts to my car are in my back seat and trunk. Just scattered everywhere. Never did anyone tell me my car was in pieces. Keep in mind...MY CAR RAN JUST FINE when I took it there but had a LIGHT/ALERT on. So now I have a car that I can't turn on because it's completely taken apart that I have to figure out how to even approach fixing. There may not have even been anything major wrong with my car in the first place. But who knows now. read more

I bought a 2011 F150 in 2015 here and thought it was a good price. However, the truck had an intercooler problem from the start that I was not aware of. I brought it back and told them the problem. When the vehicle would idle, you could hear the engine noise. In the end, they charged me $180 dollars and told me it was fine. Then out of the blue, I met a girl that knew my truck because it belonged to a salesman at Hagerstown Ford, where she also used to work. She says, "I guess they fixed the bad intercooler problem that truck had." Um nope, they didn't and obviously knew about it. Then in 2017, I bought a very nice 2017 F150 Eco with all the goodies. I bought it at Woodstock Ford. That same exact truck, with same exact options, was $13,000 dollars more at Hagerstown Ford. I honestly don't know how they are still in business. read more

CAUTION WHEN BUYING A VEHICLE FROM THEM! I purchased a 2017 Escape and a 2016 Ford Transit from Hagerstown Ford. I also own a 2007 Ford Mustang GT. I received a safety recall notice on my Transit (safety recall 17S15/NHTSA 17V-408) and have been trying without success to get my dealership to service the vehicle for the past several weeks. I have made numerous calls to schedule and appointment without any luck. The one time I was able to actually talk to someone in the service department (always had to leave a voicemail) I was advised all recalls are handled by their "Recall Department", really!. So as directed, I called that individual and left "Jillian" my number. Her voice mail stated I would receive a call back within 48 hours. That was the middle of last week. When I called again this morning I again got the same message, when I called the service manager I received his voice mail. That is totally unacceptable. What hasn't been an issue when dealing with them... if we ever get out of this endless loop of them fixing things that are their fault, we'll be finding a new place to take our cars. Edit: for the second time the wrong part was ordered and my husband's time wasted. Both days told to be there at 9:00 and they'd get it done. Both times it was the wrong part, but employees didn't notice until ALMOST 2:00. All that was offered was a free oil change. Oh,and my husband still has to go back to get the broken door handle fixed (and it's your fault it broke to begin with). Hopefully this time you'll order the correct part and have it fixed in a timely matter. Edit: After they 'fixed' yet another recall, this time on the transmission, my husband was almost in a car accident because the car wouldn't accelerate when needed or break when needed. Took it back to be told "there is no problem". After going round and round. Many issues with transmission, and other parts broken by employees during labor, having to threaten legal action we got them to 'take' it back in exchange for a 3 year lease that thankfully we were able to get out of 6 months into it due to military service. Today I woke up thinking my amazing girlfriend was going to get the car she has wanted to get, a 2019 Ford Fusion. Everything was going great, we were introduced professionally given some waters, offered coffee and sat down. We thought we were paying a little over $17,600 out the door. We get down to the pricing and that's when it gets tricky. Ryan Wood had sent her grandmother an email of that price with every rebate that she was qualified for. We get to the dealership and the price was completely wrong. It was $2,000 more than we expected as Ryan Wood lied to us. He is very unprofessional and wasted everyone's time. I feel so sorry for the excellent car salesman there as Ryan Wood gives them a bad reputation. I'm so glad he doesnt do what I do or he would be fired on the spot. He should be fired. I brought in my brand new f150 (bought from koons ford in silver spring) for its first oil change. Everyone was nice and professional at the counter so I thought I found the place where I would take my truck for all services for the rest of the time I owned it. 2000 miles later before a road trip I pop the hood to check my fluids and found the dipstick laying across the top of the engine. I've been driving 2000 miles with my oil tank exposed to everything that goes on under the hood of a vehicle. Never going back and will not reccomend anyone going here. read more

I went there yesterday to buy a car they had listed online. They actually had the car at their west virginia location. So they told me in order to get it titled and inspected in maryland I would have to pay an extra $1500. I was told it would cost that much because maryland inspections are very difficult. They had me sign all the paper work but I have not yet paid for the vehicle or paid for it. I have discovered it should not cost more than $200 to do those things. They are a dishonest company and now I can't even trust that this vehicle will run properly. I mean if they lie about one thing, they could lie about more. Stay away from them. They list their cheap used cars online at the hagerstown location but they are really in west virginia and they are making money by overcharging people this way. read more

The service for warranty repairs is a joke, 3 attempts to correct issues with the transmission in my 2017 mustang gt have failed, every new attempt introduced a new issue such as a reverse syncronizer going bad, then my exhaust being half-assed reinstalled, and now not even 100 miles out of their service bay the output shaft seal is leaking from the transmission directly onto the exhaust!..its a good thing I detected the odor of burning oil before I drove the car on any long trips, that could have ended very badly! read more

Unbelievably bad service department. I took my escape in because the check engine light abs anti skid and air bag lights all came on. Four week later I got my car back "fixed". 2972$. Virtually no communication along the way except the occasional call to order new parts as they tried things that didn't work. Picked up the car today and within five miles the check engine light is back on. I do not recommend this place for any service. To make it just a little more annoying, they didn't even bother to wash the car. I thought they always did that. Car sat outside for weeks. Dirt pollen and bird crap. Guess they cut back on this also. The floor of the drivers side is covered with little pieces of wire where they clipped and spliced in new parts. Can't vacuum either. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership. My wife and I bought two cars from them.When we left the dealership a check engine light came on in my wife's car(a BMW) and the seat heater on the driver side of my F150 stopped working. After multiple attempts to get in contact with them they finally answered and said to bring the BMW up and they would take a look at it. Prior to going up there I had someone scan the BMW and it said something about the intake. Also the charging port did not work. When I was up there the service tech tried to give me an estimate for over 1000$ which I declined. After expressing that these issues were present prior to us buying the car I was insulted and called "mouthy" by the service manager. Fast forward a month or two and we get a heavy rain fall and now the headlight isn't working. I take the car to get the headlight replaced and the shop I took it to says that the headlight is cracked and looked as if someone tried to use plastic J. Worst possible experience. Ryan Wood quoted a price to us of $17,625 on a 2019 Ford Fusion over the internet for my sister as a surprise birthday gift and told us this would be a firm price and would not have any issues. We went over to the dealership and met with Ryan, everything was going fine at first, but once we got to the pricing at the dealership on paper, it was $2,000 more. The $17,625 was originally the price of everything, the car, taxes and tags out the door. We explained how it was very unfair to us that the price was 100% agreed on by Ryan and was raised on us unexpectedly and was told by the manager as well as Curtis that they cannot go down from the extra $2,000 as well as there was nothing else they could do and to go somewhere else. This left my folks upset and angry, as well as myself. They are nothing more than a bunch of liars, crooks and to be honest, idiots. I'd never recommend Hagerstown Ford to anyone as they will lie and do anything they can to get you in and sell you a car. It is a very dishonest way of doing things and not a great way to be to customers. Got $6500 off my new Ranger XLT Sport for their big black Friday sales event after a lot of back and forth with the salesman. I thought I did ok on the deal till I started seeing other people's deals online...everyone else was saving $10k on the same truck but my salesman acted like I was getting the best deal possible but they didn't even give me all the rebates and incentives everyone else was getting all over the country! Then when I go back for financing they show me a deal with 9 percent interest and tell me it's a worst case scenario and with a 718 credit score the banks should definitely get me a better rate the next day. They didn't. So guess which idiot got reamed on trade, price, and financing? Yeah...me. That's cool, it won't happen again. My older brother and my nephew just bought new F150's from them over the summer. We're not even taking our trucks to them for service at this point...I'll pay to drag my truck down the road before Hagerstown Ford ever makes another penny off it or me. read more

I won't give them one star. I have a 2012 Raptor. I take exceptional care of it. I brought my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. Upon inspection of the paper work --- 35psi was noted for all of the tires (44psi is on the door panel) So this indicates that he didn't check them. Not going to rely on the other numbers - Upon arriving home, I decided to check my truck - the technician stepped on the painted rocker panel entering the truck and scratched it. Got grease on my left front quarter panel and grease on my passenger side door handle. On top of all that -- bent the hell out of my oil dipstick. Yeah, 2 places. I have brought my vehicle to Hagerstown Ford for my service since I purchased it. This is the second time I was dissatisfied with their service. Never again. read more

I received a telephone call at @ 8:00 a.m. my vehicle needed a "hose" to correct the power steering issue and additionally "needed rear brakes". My concern was could this work be completed by 5:00 p.m. or I could bring back tomorrow. I was told this work could be completed timely (by 5:00 p.m.) - I telephoned at @ 4:45 p.m. to learn work was not completed and "It could be 6:00 p.m. but, they had a comfortable lounge". I explained that I care for my elderly mother, who is insulin dependent and I needed my vehicle, as promised. I arrived at dealership to learn, no loaner vehicle, no rental available and without verbally stating "My Problem"!!!!
