    Trade in value of my car

    I was recently offered $4,000 from Hyundai Massey dealership for a my 2014 accent that I bought brand new in 2015. They sent it on a fancy card printed offer in the mail addressed to me. It's been 4 years and I still have this car with only 25,956 mileage on it only. Since I'm retired I only used it to go to the grocery store, church and the doctors office. I was offered $10,270 for my Hyundai Accent vehicle by Carfax report. The funny thing was that the carfax report was based on information that came from Massey Hyundai service department whenever I took the car in for oil changes. They know full well that even after four years ownership of this car that the value is $10,270 and they have the nerve to offer me $4,000 Now Massey Hyundai may deny in their rebuttal that the information didn't come from them, however no other place had access to my car since I only used their dealership for service on my car. Regardless what they say, carfax has access to their maintenance records. I personally don't care but other people might have a problem with their car maintenance records being released to outside third party sources without their consent. Something to think about. But it is a privacy issue on your vehicle regardless. If you do the math that's a huge profit of $6,000 dollars Hyundai Massey would make if I was foolish enough to trade the car to them. I will give a copy of my carfax report and let you be the judge on their integrity and honesty towards their customers. Honestly, I don't know how these dealers can sleep well at night knowing full well of the true value a car when a customer wants to trade it in with them. Even after four years, this dealership is still trying to screw me over with ridiculous trade in offers. I took good care of my car and that's why I was able to refinance it with my credit union without a problem. Of course they will paste their normal rebuttal against my review on the them as usual. It's one thing for a dealership to get $1,000 or even $2,000 profit out of a traded in car, but to flip a car for $6,000 profit does not sound ethical to me. The carfax report source of information was from Massey dealership and nowhere else so they know the true value of my car. When you bring your car in to trade with Massey dealership. They will not give you the Kelly blue book value or the carfax value. They use a different company that give low ball quotes on trade in value that I highly consider questionable. Just to remind you that the carfax report was done March 2019 and not 3 or 4 years ago. The service department at Hyundai have always treated me very nice and been respectful people. Unfortunately I can't say the same kinds words from dealers/sales department. I think as a customer, I always wanted to be treated fairly when it came down to prices. The trust was gone four years ago by an unscrupulous sales person along with his empty promises. I had hoped things would have been different after four years, but after getting that low ball trade offer on their fancy card I could not believe my eyes when I saw the terrible trade in offer. I wonder how much it cost to pay the printers to print up that fancy card offer. A word of advice, if you have a credit union, please make use of them so you will get a fair price on the vehicle. Get the vin number and let the credit union tell you what that vehicle is really worth. All that I wanted was a Sonata or a Elantra fully loaded with built in gps later on, but I can't do it at this dealership because of my issues with them and no fair trade in value offers. That was my big mistake, I didn't use my credit union when I bought this car. Buyer beware when you go to Massey Hyundai. You have been warned.

    Time I had to wait on scheduled oil change after having to make an appointment!

    Had to make an appointment for oil change and tire rotation. 1.5 hour to get it done, for them to come back to recommend tires I bought from them 3 years ago with 40,000 miles on em. Their service is a scam, had previous issue they had to replace transmission 3 times till they got it right. Go to Keplingers Auto./////I then get what seems like an "autoreply" from dealership, that I should reach out to them.. If they were sincere they would contact me and suggest a resolution!!

My husband and I have bought several vehicles over our life. My son just out of high school had been working on building credit. We decided to co-sign on a loan for him to get the vehicle in hopes of building credit and being able to eventually get the vehicle he wanted. He works a great job, as a responsible kid and deserves everything he works for. From day, one after getting the Nissan it has been nothing but problems with Hamilton. Unable to get a hold of a person. Unable to have somebody explain what they did in the paperwork that they snuck in to even just schedule an oil change. Luckily my son makes enough money to correct their mistake. The things that they did, the things they snuck in that my son had to correct was definitely an eye-opener. I truly hope people research this place before going there. They are very shady and I do not know how they are still in business. I will never recommend them and I am so happy my son found another dealer that helped him get out of the mess they made. I wish I could give it zero stars. Have a nice day

I was traveling through the area and my recently purchased Kia stopped running while driving. I had my vehicle towed to the nearest Kia dealership which was in Hagerstown. Initially everyone seemed very helpful. I received a call the following Monday saying they'd get to my vehicle as soon as possible, I even got an email informing me of a diagnostic appointment that Wednesday afternoon. By midday Thursday I hadn't heard from anyone so I called and left a message that would not be returned. I called again Friday, spoke to someone different and they had my original contact call me back. The information I received at that time was that the Wednesday appointment was "just so my car was in the system" and my car was "next in line" but likely wouldn't be done until the following Tuesday. At that point they would have had my vehicle for 10 days without even looking at it. Unfortunately I didn't have many options for an alternative other than wait. Tuesday comes and goes, no call. By Wednesday (day 11) I'm overly frustrated. I call back, my car had not been looked at and was not "next". I make the decision to have my vehicle towed from Hagerstown to Morgantown, an extra $1000 expense that should not have been necessary. I experienced nothing but lies hidden behind polite, chippers voices.
