Just called to get my dog in for grooming as we are new to the area. I was told they do not accept dogs older than 12. I have a very healthy 14 year old morkie who has the energy of a 5 year old dog. Not sure why they are discriminating against senior dogs. read more

I bring my two doodles here to be groomed and they always come out in much better shape than when I drop them off! The owners are friendly enough, but come across as fairly shy. My dogs don't like going, but then again they don't like going anywhere that I don't stay with them. Overall very good experience and I continue to go back. Sometimes they do have to clip the dogs very close to the skin, however that is usually my fault because I let them go too long and they start to get matting. read more

I have been going to Hai Max in Springhurst for 22 years with my dogs. My last dog is now 16 years old. The last two haircuts from there were very bad and they blamed it on her age. Since I complained and wanted someone else to do it they are refusing to do it at all. Lola is a healthy 16 year old dog. This is the only groomer she has had, now taking her somewhere else will stress her out. Truly disappointed in this business. read more

Suggested by a friend, I took our mini golden doodle to Hai Max Springhurst. I felt instantly as if they did not want to do what I asked especially since he kept insisting that she get a "full cut and start all over!" I said no, she isn't matted so just cut the first layer off since her hair was super long. 2 inches. Mostly around her face and potty areas. I felt like they rushed and did what they wanted, since this Covid-19 mess they were just rushing to get business and fit in as many dogs as possible. I pick her up and she looked like a rat. No hair! Shaved entirely too close and even cut her ears somehow so much, they were bleeding! The insides of her ears were still dirty, and her whiskers and eye lashes were completely chopped. Our beautiful dog has been transformed into wreck less dog grooming experience. Stay away from this groomer! Our dog was shaking to leave and will NEVER go back and for $80 to be buzzed! read more

We recently took out 10lb terrier mutt to the guys at Hai Max, and were very pleased. We adopted our girl recently and she had been badly neglected. She'd had a recent litter of pups and due to neglect during pregnancy all of her hair was dried out and patchy. We took her over to have all of the bad hair cut to start over. The guys working there were super friendly and very kind to our girl. The work was quick and well done. My husband and I went to breakfast and the grocery and she was done in just under 2 hours. When I picked her up she was in good spirits and looked great. They cut her hair, cleaned her up, and even gave her a little style. The price was reasonable and they made me feel very comfortable leaving her, which is hard to do. read more

We took our 30lb terrier mix mutt to Hai Max. I am very nervous to bring my dog to new groomers as many have left me unsatisfied due to level of professionalism or cut of my dog, but in a new city I had to find a new one. This groomers unfortunately left me with the same doubt and unsatisfaction. The main difference however between the experience I had with Hai Max and other groomers is the unwillingness to fix compromise their wrong-doing. We asked for her face and paws to be trimmed and an all over shave. The groomer called to see if he should use scissors or a clipper to trim. We asked scissor for delicate areas and clipper for the rest of her body. We specified that we did not want the terrier beard and that we wanted it all one short length. Something was obviously miss heard because my dog came back with a trimmed face (still with a beard), tip of her tail (still long), short trim around her butt, and bottom of her paws all cleaned and short (well done there!). Otherwise, it does not look like she was shave all over at all. I will not return to this groomers and would definitely not recommend to others. If I call to try to mend the client relationship and get told "there is nothing they can do" that is poor customer service. I would never pay $60 for a cut that I could do at home with a pair of kitchen scissors. read more

Had always done a good job cutting my dogs hair until this past time they apparently used her to teach a new person how to cut dogs hair....my dog came home with multiple cuts and I'm still dealing with the repercussions of puncture wounds 2 months later. I would, AT MINIMUM, expect a groomer to inform/make the owner aware of a situation that serious. I found out on my own after infection set in. Absolutely unacceptable & I will never go back. Beware & make sure you keep an eye on what happens there with your dog bc they're not going to tell you. read more
