Checking in is easy and you can buy campfire wood and ice from the main office, and they'll even deliver it right to your campsite which was nice because there was no way I was gonna be able to carry 4 bundles of wood ($5 each) on my bike. They do have a nice playground. Not sure if I mentioned that in my first review. This is a good campground for families. The only thing I negative I can say about this place, and it isn't even their fault so I won't deduct any stars, is that there's a dairy farm right across the street from the entrance out on the main road so if the wind blows just right you get that awful ammonia and poop smell throughout the campground.

Sadly we didn't check out the light house, as it was closed. The playground replica of the Point Light House was fun to go on, yes, as an adult, Ill admit we both enjoyed letting out our inner child. The nature trails may have been a bit muddy from recent rain, but easy to manage, recommend if you check park out after rain, wear hiking boots, or sneakers you don't mind getting dirty. Perfect for anyone whose a nature lover.

This KOA is small, caters to families and offers plenty of activities and amenities, including two…read moresmall pools, a lake with kayaks and pedal boats, playgrounds, a bounce pad, a water slide, volleyball, video games, and organized weekend activities. Adults can also enjoy wine and margarita slushies, and they serve burgers, hot dogs, and pizza. We stayed in a deluxe cabin with a full bathroom and partial kitchen. The cabin was comfortable and well equipped with Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, dishes and utensils, a TV with Roku, a futon, bunk beds, a queen bedroom, ceiling fans, and air conditioning. However, unlike other KOA deluxe cabins we've stayed in, this one had no stovetop, which made preparing meals difficult. We also had to bring our own towels, pillows, and linens, which reduced the convenience expected from a larger cabin. There were a couple of maintenance issues. The air conditioner appeared to have mold, although maintenance said the black material was foam and cleaned it promptly. More seriously, the cabin lacked a door sweep, allowing large numbers of flies inside. The flies caused significant problems for the children, they had to take allergy medicine. Maintenance responded quickly but could not resolve the door issue. The front-desk experience was mixed. Staff were friendly, but we received conflicting information about what linens and towels to bring and never received a callback to our voice message. Check-in was somewhat confusing because three cabins had been reserved under different names, not sure why we had an issue with that but staff remained pleasant and the process was eventually resolved. We weren't a fan of the golf-cart culture. Guests can bring or rent golf carts, and the campground became noisy with constant cart traffic and late-night partying. Our neighbors hosted a large gathering with loud music and many guests, continuing until after 2 a.m., with no enforcement of quiet hours. This significantly detracted from the family-oriented experience. Overall, we made some good memories and appreciated the campground's amenities and friendly staff, but this place is better suited to families with older children (around 8+) or groups looking for a fun, social, party-oriented weekend. We might return when their children are older and would particularly recommend this KOA for birthday celebrations or groups that want to rent golf carts and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

The loops are not wide streets and it was a little tight to get out of our spot with a 28' and extended cab truck. If there were another camper parked across from us we wouldn't have been able to get out. Laundry on site and the store had tons of snacks. Past the old basketball court (across from section D) is a wandering nature trail/Maze. Staff that we interacted with were friendly and quick. Really quiet and peaceful place to stay for 2 weeks. Walmart is within 20 minutes if you need anything. Check out the Circle R farm store right down the street, too!

We camp to escape this garbage ...no matter what your views are. I don't look at the news or Facebook or any of that. You're a public business camping is supposed to be fun. Why ??? Everyone was very friendly and there was no noise at night. We paid $35ish for tent camping and fire wood was $7. Overall a bit expensive for what you get (resulted loss of another star). Not sure we would go back. Might try give it another chance in prime season to see how things improve, if so I will check back in.

There was evidence of this around the septic tubes and we had to pull our dogs away from these every time we walked them. Even though the septic overflowed on Saturday, they did not have anyone come to pump it out and on a later day in the week they hosted a high school prom, thus overtaxing the septic again. (Yes, there was a school prom the end of June due to bad winter in the area, the kids are still in school.) We wound up leaving a day early as we were just sick of it. My husband emptied our tank into the septic and said the waste was within 1 inch of the top of the pipe, meaning 1 flush and likely it would overflow yet again. The pool was closed the entire time we were there but 2 girls that had a key to the pool (I'm guessing employees or family) were allowed to swim. The bathhouse near the pool was also closed our entire stay. The restaurant they claim to have was closed. The mini golf course appeared abandoned. No gym, no fitness area, no pool tables, nothing. Only amenity was a small playground and 1 basketball court with broken baskets. Nice view of the lake but you mostly have to stand at the fence to see it as the weeds on the other side of the fence are really high. The only other bath house always had a wet and sticky floor and there were plenty of spiders and wasps in there with you. Also the rv sites are barely wider than your rv with the canopy out. They lied to my husband and told him that the local car rental place drops cars off there "all the time". We had to pay $50 to uber to pick up, and another $50 to drop off, the car. They said they "never" go that far. There are no amenities in the nearby area either. It definitely looks like their main goal is weddings and events. Someone came to park in the spot next to us and were having trouble figuring out where to park and the owner came over, yelled at my husband for hooking into the wrong water and septic hookups (nothing marked & he used the closest) and then tried to get the guy to back in directly next to us and he would have been so close he could barely get his door open. Extremely disappointed in this campground as it was the first trip we took our granddaughter on and there was nothing for her to do.

The campground is peaceful and quiet, and my favorite spot to go was the little outdoor chapel in the evening during the sunset. I would definitely recommend this place for a family or even for a solo traveler. Some improvements would be the path down to the water. It was very full of weeds and I was a little nervous about getting a tick due to the path being not cleared. Also, I had some issues with the food that my stomach just didn't agree with, specifically with the taco night. Everything else about the campground was pleasant, calm, and very relaxing. I would still recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for a little bit from the craziness of life.

There was a bathroom as part of the pavilion, it is on the outside of the building, and it is open to the public. Which was nice having a bathroom so close. The bathrooms were spotless. I did get a bit of a surprise when I tried to hang my purse and found a pair of female panties hung there instead. Haha! I jumped, acting like they were going to jump out and grab me. So, yah, that happened. Probably someone changing into their bathing suit left it. You can see the water from the pavilion, or walk out to it. The landscaping was beautifully done, parts were immaculate, and some parts weee sanded for having fun, park like setting to play frisbee, horse shoes, Bocce ball. Etc.... You do not have to rent a pavilion, you can just go, and use the grounds. We paid 9.00 to get in. I think that's a per car fee. We don't live in the county, so Idk if that fee is for residence of the county or just non residents. Maybe something to check on before you go. They had grills there, a little fence around part of the pavilion, with picnic tables. Everything was set up very nicely. I have no idea how the pavilion rentals work, or how much they cost. But it was a beautiful spot. Trees, pathways, water, what more could you ask for. It seems quite large, and others were there as well enjoying the day like us. It is a joyful place, and everyone just enjoyed themselves, and respected each other. Very joyful, peaceful family place.

The cabin we stayed in was comfy for our family of 5 and included a full bathroom with shower. It is still a camping experience so while you have a sink and coffee maker, there is no indoor grill or microwave. Everything was clean. We utilized the outdoor grill and fire pit nightly. Quiet hours were from 10pm-8am I appreciated all of the space in the cabin and strong AC. My only complaint is our mattress was a little hard so it wasn't the best sleep I've had, but overall these are above average accommodations for a camp ground. We enjoyed the accessibility of the site. You could easily walk to all of the amenities. If you are seeking amenities and things to do HTR will have you covered. We enjoyed the pool, mini golf, laser tag, kayak rentals, craft making hours, pedal bikes, and trails during our 4 night stay. All of these activities were included! Our kids had a blast and had something to do all day. The staff were very kind and really made us feel welcome. We loved the location as it was very close to Niagara Falls and restaurants in the surrounding area when we didn't want to cook on the camp grill. Overall, very happy with our visit and would highly recommend if you are looking for a camping experience without the work.

Note-the tent sites didn't offer a ton of privacy, it was kind of open. It was very close to two bathrooms. It was very quiet. We were so impressed upon arrival. Everything was well marked and clean. The general store has a little bit of everything. The staff was helpful and friendly. They offered a lot of family friendly activities. We were there during their harvest festival weekend. They offered hay rides and cider and donuts by their bon fire the first night we were there. Almost all of their activities are included. They charge a fee for their zip lines. They offer free pedal bike usage alongwith boat usage. It is conveniently located to Niagara Falls. They offer late check-in and even check in for folks who don't have a reservation, if they have availability Saturday morning the store opened at 9 AM a little late for us since we were on the road by 845. We were hoping to buy acup of coffee (they have $2 K-cups).

Four Mile Creek State Park, New York I found this campground…read moreon Https://parks.ny,gov as I was planning a trip, a lifelong goal, to see Niagara Falls. I chose Four Mile Creek State Park for its proximity to the Falls, and nearby attractions like Fort Niagara, an Aquarium, the Niagara Power Vista, and the Underground Railroad Heritage Center, to name a few. This camp offers a shuttle service to these places, no need to worry about parking! I was welcomed by a cheerful office staff and given a map for the Niagara Falls State Park. I went to my site 13, it was nicely shaded and I had access to 30amp service and water a few sites away. The bathrooms & showers were clean and had access to washer/dryer. I met lots of nice people and the weather was great. (6/1 to 6/8) Every member of staff I encountered was friendly and accommodating. Shout out to maintenance staff, Mike, the shuttle driver and Tim, manning the Camp Store. In fact, Tim even circulates the campground every night after the store is closed with ice & firewood. I visited the Falls, walking all over the American side then walked across the bridge to Canada for lunch observing the Canadian side of the Falls. But my favorite thing about this whole journey was the sunsets on Lake Ontario. On clear nights, the city of Toronto is visible. Every night campers would drift down to the field on the lake to watch the sunset. It was the most mesmerizing thing, many different people connecting with this beautiful world.

There is a network of wide gravel paths with nice water views of Lake Ontario. I was disheartened to see a lot of trash in the park. There were benches and tables throughout the park, but most people were enjoying sitting on the rocks. Many were taking photos. There were also grills and the smell of barbeque hit me. The bluffs are quite majestic. There is a restroom near the start of the path. The day I visited there was an ice cream food truck onsite. There is a large parking area which I had to circle multiple times before a space became available and when I left it took me over 20 minutes to get out of the lot and onto the main road. The Scarborough Bluffs are approximately 40 minutes from the Toronto airport .
