They have volunteers trained to answer most any question a local or tourist can throw at them. Next time you are downtown, pop in here for a few minutes. Its bound to be worth your time and effort.

One of my favorite parts was the big I NY sign outside. It makes for such a fun photo! And inside, the photo opportunity kiosk was such a creative touch. You can snap a picture and send it to yourself right from there. If you're passing through, definitely take a few extra minutes to stop here. My friend and I recently visited Buffalo State, ( When we attended, both fellow Alumni Class of 2005) it was Buffalo State College. Fast forward , now its Buffalo State University; after receiving an email back late January, there was a happy hour coming up at the school we both decided to check it out. Vibrant building, friendly staff, felt a little older, then most of the attendees at the event, but that was alright. The speakers were more geared toward recent college graduates, or soon to be college graduate. Overall, nice mingling event, and opportunity to check out the campus updates, taco bar, and drink selection as well. This center isn't new, and opened back in 2018. My suggestion is your alumni of Buffalo State, and haven't visit campus in quite awhile, you'll be astounded by their improvements and updates. As a commuter, used to hang out in the Fireside Lounge, in the union during Bengal pause, on the aweful green coaches, now theres a beautiful fire place, equipped with comfortable sitting areas.

We have previously done the ferry (Canada side) years ago when I was a kid. We were just walking around the park because we never been the American side. The observation area, ferries and gift shop were pretty busy, especially during long weekends and holidays. The park has the 2 of the 3 Falls (the 2 smaller ones). I kind of feel like the park sort compensates for having the 2 smaller falls. It was a little bit glummy when we visited but was nice to visit the American side of the falls. The pathway and trails were well maintained and wide enough that you don't feel crowded. The park felt quiet and less busy but well visited once you were walking around.

The highlight to me was the new visitor center. I believe the last time I tried the visitor center was 2019 and upgrades have been made. It's so modernized and attractive. Many clean bathrooms to use, lots of interactive displays, a cafe, and gift shop. You can tell a lot of money went into improving this place. I also liked that there were so many public restrooms available throughout the park and seating options including picnic tables and benches. We also saw lovely hanging baskets throughout the park. We were able to see the medium and smaller waterfalls and I was blown away by how beautiful it was. There are incredible views everywhere you turn with tons of photo spots and scenic overlooks. The trails are really well maintained and were a good easy hike. I also love how much there is to do here beyond just hiking. There are biking trails, horseback riding, and even skiing in the winter. It feels like a park you could come back to in every season and have a completely different experience. There is also a welcome center with a small gift shop and a nature center. You could easily spend a whole day here. I loved it!

This park is great in every season, and we are lucky to have it here. Most people show up for the waterfalls and the views of the gorge. They deserve the hype. The scenery alone is worth the price of admission and a solid chunk of your day. If you stop there, you are missing out. Dig deeper. Come in the winter and see the ice volcano. It feels like something too cool for WNY. Stop by during the hot air balloon festival in the summer and watch the sky fill with color over the gorge. Get off the rim trail and explore the trails that go through the woods. Make time for the less populated side of the park. Fewer people, more natural trails, and no admission fee. It has a completely different vibe and is perfect if you want something a little more peaceful.
