I was honestly very nervous about how my hair would lift and what the end result would look like but Marine completely exceeded my expectations! Not only is the red gone, my hair still feels healthy and I didn't have to cut off inches due to damage or experience significant breakage/hair loss. What surprised me the most is that she was actually able to get me to a beautiful blonde in this first session. I had previously been told by other stylists that going blonde would take several sessions and that I would probably have to start with a light brown before I could even get close to blonde. I completely understood that maintaining the health of my hair might mean taking things slowly, so I was prepared for that which made seeing my final result even more exciting! She managed to make such a huge transformation while still prioritizing the integrity of my hair, and that was extremely important to me. The color came out even better than I expected, my hair still has its length and feels healthy, and I finally feel like I'm on my way to the blonde I wanted. I couldn't be happier with the results and would absolutely recommend her!

It took me awhile to book the appointment, as she didn't have any availability for three months. I took that as a good sign, she is busy because she's worth waiting for. My best friend and I took the drive out to Montebello together, the salon was pretty easy to find even though we were unfamiliar with the area. As soon as we walked in the door, we were warmly welcomed by everyone. ALL of the people in this salon are fun and friendly. Judging by how busy they were, everyone here has a super loyal clientele. My friend was hoping for a haircut (she didn't have an appointment) but they were booked solid. Karen was the ultimate professional, she went over price with me as well as expectations before we started. I knew we couldn't change from black to blonde in one sitting, she gave me options for colors during my transitional phase. We decided on a dark plum. She was super chatty and very friendly throughout the whole process. She constantly checked on my hair while I was under the blow dryer to see how the process was going. I just can't say enough about her personality AND her skills. I am in the beauty business also and I know how rare it is to find someone who is both humble AND super talented! My hair has never looked so good! I got soooo many compliments that it's ridiculous. My hair still looks healthy and super shiny, even though it has been bleached. People have even been asking to take pictures of my hair at work. I just wish I could duplicate the way she styled and blow dried it!

Cons: parking can be limited as the location is in a business center but there is plenty of street parking. Helpful advice: Ladies it's important to know how to style your own hair. Whether it be blow drying, curling or straightening, you have to know how to do it yourself. Denee will style your hair beautifully before walking out but you need to know how to style it afterwards. I have sent plenty of people there that have had an expectation just to wake up with the same hair styles for the days or months following. Truthfully, no one does. I take time to blow dry and style my hair to look as she left it the day of my visit. I highly recommend Denee. Appointments are required. She's typically booked two to three weeks in advance.
