No, just no! Unprofessional and ghetto behavior! I was not greeted and did not know where to sit. Mind you this was my first impression. Just awful. She ruined my hair with bleach. The bleach was left in my head for 4.5hrs straight. It was not washed and reapplied and it destroyed my hair. She brushes the wet hair so rough that it snaps the hair off. You can hear her talking about money in the break room. She tossed a towel at me after the bleached was washed off of hair and said dry your hair, as she ran out the door to chase a man so she can flirt outside. I had been going to Eva for years and overall I was decently content with my hair. However the last couple times I'd go for touch ups to my ombré, she would rush. She would leave me in a chair sitting for over an hour. One time I checked the time I was waiting with the bleach in my hair and it was a solid 1 hour 30 mins. That's when I asked her if she was going to wash out the product. When she revealed my hair it was breaking off, and leathery. She even had the nerve to say "yea your hair is damaged, Make sure to use no heat." Now it didn't take Sherlock to realize how messed up my hair was after. As a professional of "12 years" isn't this something you think she should have been able to prevent. Or to set a timer to remind her to wash my hair out? Now my hair was very healthy prior to going to her, and I came out looking like a trolls doll. My hair is naturally curly mind you, and everything that had been bleached that day had completely lost its curly pattern. She didn't even offer to cut the dead ends. I paid her $225 for this bad hair job. It was so bad that after a month of trying to revive it, I decided to cut it into a pixie cut. This was during my birthday week when I wanted to go out and celebrate with nice hair. Instead I wore my hair in a bun, with argan and coconut oil. If you have straight silky hair she may know how to work with it, but if you are a woman of color and have any form of ethnic hair, DO NOT GO TO EVA! read more

I give my experience a solid 4 stars. I read a couple other reviews that I did agree with. Even though I was the first customer there was still a sense of rush to me. I think I've gotten really used to salons in Los Angeles, which is not a good thing lol! I usually frequent Atelier in Koreatown of LA and the ambiance and atmosphere is very different. I liked Eva. She was friendly and did a good job. I didn't have a very demanding list, just a trim, thin the hair, partial highlights and a root touch up. I basically wanted a breath of fresh air for my hair and I got it. She asked initially if I had pictures and I didn't, but that didn't seem to be a problem as I basically wanted my hair to just get renewed. So she got to work and it took 2.5 hours which was pretty impressive seeing as she did everything by herself. I've gotten used to the hair stylists in LA having assistants to double production time, so it was nice that I wasn't there that long. I'm actually pretty happy. Hair cut, wash and styling, coloring with root touch up and highlights was 150 flat which I thought was very fair. As opposed to 200-300+ in Los Angeles it was a good experience. If I need another simple cut I may come back to this location. Still on the hunt for the best place, but this was definitely not a bad location to come in to get my hair done. read more

Had my first appointment with her the other day and the results of my hair came out great. The only downside about her is that I feel like she over books clients then tends to rush, but with my session it took 5 long hours! WARNING- THIS IS A LONG ONE First off if you're into a chatty hairdresser who will just go on carrying small talk that's not what I've experienced here. Eva is more of the quiet type it seems(I don't mind). This is why my second time here I made it a point to bring earphones so that I can watch movies while getting my hair done. That said Eva is good at what she does but a major downside is she overbooks herself. This in turn results in the high chance that her assistant will be stepping in and lending a hand here and there/possibly take over when her next client shows up. You can tell her assistant is not as experienced and doesn't really know what he's doing. The first time I got my hair done by her(balayage) my appt started at 11 and I didn't leave till around 5. She did the bleach, color, wash, toning and cut herself and her assistant only did the blow drying. My hair took forever but it did come out nice and I loved it. 6 months went by and I was still getting compliments on my hair. She had done such a good job blending/fading my balayage. Made it so low maintenance. (Paid about 270-something?) This second time around I went in(10am-1pm)to get the balayage brought up my roots some. I had about 6-7 months worth of roots. She went ahead and brought my balayage up with bleach/lightener. With a head full of foils I was sent off to pass the time away and to process under the dryer. She came to check on my foils twice during that time. The first time it wasn't where it needed to be so she had me sit under the dryer for another round. I was processing for awhile and when she checked on me the second time she told her assistant to rinse my hair. When he was done I was told to get up with no hair towel so I was pretty much feeling like a wet dog with water dripping down my back and everywhere(later found slight bleach stains on the back of my dress I was wearing). I was eventually directed to a hair station after a min of standing there lost not knowing what to do. He then towel dried my hair some and brushed out my hair before blow drying it and applying what I think was toner to my roots and ends. He then washed, shampooed and conditioned my hair( I got a towel this time). Eva then asked me if I wanted a hair cut. I was suppose to get my hair blow dried by the assistant afterwards but he had a client that came in so Eva ended up blow drying my hair. Right away I noticed my face framing bits were lighter than the rest of my hair(almost blonde-grey). I'm sure she could tell from my face I wasn't crazy about my hair. She then asked me if I wanted her to style it for me. Considering she had another client waiting for her and I could feel she was in a rush I declined. I paid/tipped and walked out not loving my hair but not hating it either. Out in the car my light pieces in the front looked even lighter(I felt like Rogue from x-men). Indoors in certain lighting it wasn't as bad. I really tried to like my hair considering I paid 185 for the color alone without tip and 220 total with cut and tip included. I couldn't do it. I ended up going to Sally's Beauty Supply 2 days later and dying over it all with a light brown color. Everything said its obvious Eva is good at what she does when she gives herself the time to do it. Why else would she have such a large clientele and a problem with overbooking? The 2 times I've been there I've seen her go from one client to the next and wrk on multiple clients in intervals. Seems like she doesn't ever have the time to sit or take a break. When she does stop its to look at her phone and I'm assuming she's responding to clients??? If you are lucky and manage to book a slot on a day where she's not crazy overbooked I'm sure you will love the work she will create on your head. If your not lucky you'll be left to her assistant. More than less likely she will probably be so busy you will feel bad complaining and cutting into her next clients appointment. If you're like me you will just opt to pay, leave and try to like your hair when you really don't. I like the work Eva does but I value my time and money too much to book an appointment with her and end up being handed over to the assistant. I will not be coming back here. read more

Recently I had went to a different salon (family/friend salon) to get my touch ups and the lady told me she was able to do what Eva had previously done to my hair (blonde highlights with a light brown base color). The outcome was just HORRIBLE. It was a yellow blonde with a orange base color which did NOT look good at all! I knew I had to go back to Eva to get it fix. When Eva looked through my hair, she showed me how horrible of a job the lady had done. The bleach bleed through my hair and I had all sorts of different blondes. Eva is the best! I came across her page on IG & instantly after looking at her pics I knew I wanted to come to her! I texted her & she gave me a quote for my hair. I came in the next week & she worked miracles on my hair lol. I got a balyage/ ombre done so that it would be easier to maintain. I was kinda worried b/c my hair was dark due to previous dye that I tried to cover my old highlights with and I wanted my tips really blonde. She told me she could get it really blonde but she would have to strip my hair & said there was a possibility of my hair melting so I decided not to strip it. I just told her to do what she thinks is best &that I trust her lol. After the foils came out we both were surprised how light my blonde came out & she lightened my roots a little so it would blend in more.
